Seems a bit fishy to me.

I believe it was 7-1. I was there for that as I was for the 7-1 thumping by Liverpool. I seem to recall that the Liverpool result came a couple of weeks after we beat Man Utd 6-3 at home. I swore never to go to Souseland again after those two results and I've been true to my word. It seems to have worked as we haven't (yet) let 7 goals in up there since.

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
TwoPints replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
This. ISIS want a war between muslims and the rest of the world and their terrorist attacks are designed to do just that. Unfortunately, there are people out there that fall for it hook line and sinker and rather than focus on fighting ISIS want to blame Islam and cause divisions in the world which is exactly what ISIS want. -

So you haven't challenged your wife's family on their beliefs, happy to trust that those particular muslims aren't of the same ilk as other muslims? PS: Sorry to hear about your mother in law. I lost my Mum this year and know how difficult it is. -

and what did your in-laws say when you told them they were followers of a poisonous religion? -
I'm going for a 1-0 either way ... we can't score and don't concede too many either so I suspect a fluky goal from one side or t'other will win it. It'll be a sh1t game too but you have to watch it just in case!!

Saints 1 Hapoel Be'er Sheva 1 - Match & Meltdown Thread
TwoPints replied to St Chalet's topic in The Saints
I've never understood the love in that some have had for Hojberg on here. I've seen very little from him that makes me think he's going to be anything but a squad player and as for Redmond, he was shocking this evening. I'm sure Boufal will come good and he should be first choice ahead of Redmond IMHO and I'd prefer JWP over Hojberg any day of the week. Not sure you can blame lack of strikers, it's a lack of ability to deliver a decent ball to the striker that's the problem. Time and time again Redmond (in particular) lost the ball of the edge of the box when there were opportunities to get the ball into the box and Bertrand's crossing was horrendous tonight. We need to stop playing players that aren't good enough (Hojberg and Redmond) and let's have a good go at Middlesbrough. -
I did chuckle when he was lined up to do a trial. Ant and Dec asked him why he thought he'd been voted to do it. "Probably Pompey fans voting" was his reply. He's still a Saints man at heart.

Excellent result and performance tonight. Really deserved the win and great play all round. Sent from my SM-T810 using Tapatalk -
Trump looked like a naughty schoolboy sitting next to Obama and Ryan today after their meetings. He's clearly not up to the job and I wonder whether he now realises that?

And to be honest, out of that short list, one of which is that she married someone that cheated on her, one is that she pinched some knifes and forks from the Whitehouse (do you really think she did her own packing), one is making money from public speaking and one was that she failed an exam. The list, to be fair, doesn't quite compare to the Trump rap sheet. Sent from my SM-T810 using Tapatalk

Thanks for posting that DM. I was just about to ask Hypo what he meant by: "I think that some of the things that Hilary has done and her track record make her potentially more dangerous in the White House." Now I understand. It's the emails that the FBI said didn't constitute an offence.

Thanks. I thought it looked like Benali but my eyes aren't what they used to be! Cheers

Quick question... who was on the pitch doing the BT half time punditry last night.

Not sure you can blame Forster for not saving that goal. All the best keepers let a goal in every now and again. Just look at De Gea. ? Sent from my SM-T810 using Tapatalk

For me Clasie could do with coming off. There have been a few opportunities for him to get the ball forward but he's passed sideways or backwards instead. Couple of dodgy passes and on a yellow card. Might be time for Hojberg. Sent from my SM-T810 using Tapatalk

Good article here: http://www.sempreinter.com/2016/10/19/who-are-southampton/ Generally about Saints but gives a clue about the pressure that's on Inter to get a result.

You really are a piece of work aren't you. I showed no delight in people losing their jobs at all. I fear many more people will lose their jobs from all of this. It's a travesty that could so easily have been avoided.

I don't recall giving it 'the big one'. I merely posted a quote from an article I read recently, you got all upset about it started calling people donuts and suggested I do more research, which I did and came across three similar articles. You found different ones. Whether these particular job losses were as a direct result of brexit or not is a bit of a moot point as there will be plenty of others before we're out of Europe. Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
TwoPints replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
So this thread about terrorism in Europe has turned into general Muslim bashing after all. Who would have guessed. There are worse things going on in this country than a bus stopping but its clear what's important to you. -
You're right. I have done more research and it seems that these are the job loses announced in July. I don't bother trawling back through months of news to check details though so maybe that's where I went wrong. I've done more research now to show that these were indeed the job loses announced July and I apologise that I assumed that these were to do with Brexit when clearly they're not: "Lloyds announced in July it would cut a further 3,000 jobs and close 200 branches amid a more testing economic environment caused by Britain's vote to quit the European Union." - Reuters "Lloyds said in July it would cut an extra 3,000 jobs in response to the Brexit vote." - Financial Times "Lloyds Banking Group Plc will cut a further 3,000 jobs as it warned Britain’s vote to leave the European Union would hurt its ability to boost dividend payments." - Bloomberg Oh... Hang on! Looks like I might have been right after all. Pick your sources and believe what you like. Personally, I'm inclined to take notice of the FT, Bloomberg and Reuters. Not such **** poor articles. You should consider changing your name to Mr Krispy Kreme. Might be more appropriate.
