Reference Pelle, at almost every crossing opportunity, he's dropping off/pausing at the 12 yard change spot. Vary it!

Bertrand is having a stinker.

That is not mathematically possible

With the greatest of respect, this reeks of naivety.

Post-Match Reaction: Stoke City 1-2 SAINTS
Donatello replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Really great result, great away performance...in spite misplaced passing being a bit of a theme. Never a red. However, and being slightly negative, since being dropped, Mane looks completely disinterested. Before being dropped he simply lacked the composure which he displayed in front of goal last year, I.e. he was still a dangerous unpredictable player, albeit a bit blunt. Now he looks like he won't, and doesn't want to do, all that much. Weird. -
How very agile of you

Separate events. yes, unrelated, no - it's your position of course, but I can't see how you can claim that anything influencing the scoreline is unrelated. At any rate, miss aside, Tadic is having a good game (imo).
-
...because it would be 3-1? I can't see anyone blaming Tadic for us conceding, so I'm not sure what you're referring to :S
-
No, we're blaming Tadic for not making it 3-nil, when it was easier to do so.

This. What the Hell was he waiting for?! He'd already fooled them!

That's called form (for the most part).

Ermmm, that's the system we have been playing, save for half of the Bournemouth game where it clearly wasn't working, and yesterday, where injuries necessitated the change. -
Great ball from Davis to set Cedric away (preceding goal).

I think he was pretty anonymous for the first 12 or so games, and then picked it up in the last half dozen or so. Time will tell if he can maintain his current level (which is very good).

There's no need for that. -
Arsenal - excellent, obviously. West Ham - Fine. Two games don't make a season though, and he's been one of the poorest (relative to his ability/potential effectiveness). Who knows, maybe he's turned a corner now/woken up a little.

Agree with this. First half he was good. And he does indeed get forward, he has that mobility (Yoshida doesn't). Granted, when he does get forward, he can look a bit Bambi-esque, but he makes up the numbers at least, and is prepared to cross. Yoshida simply hasn't been dependable enough to claim the backup RB spot this season, so I would continue with Martina when Soares is unavailable.

VVD is in the correct position when the cross comes in? Can't say I agree, he has his back to the ball for starters, he's not set for defending a cross. But as you say, that poses the question of why he was out there to begin with. Still don't think he should be letting Antonio turn though, regardless of his instinct to get back alongside Fonte - if he continues pinning Antonio, the cross doesn't materialise.
