Confirmed: Caulker loan cancelled; Moves on loan to Liverpool
Saint Billy replied to Maggie May's topic in The Saints
OMG? -
Not putting words into Dellmans mouth, but I have also supported a long time, 50 years plus, and I am fully aware that the modern game is totally different as far as business models are concerned etc and that having to sell your better players is a given....no argument what so ever!. The fact is over the last two seasons all our best players have gone and more want to, have we replaced them with similar quality....results would show a definite no, have we brought through potential talent from the academy?....Koeman doesn't think so. Does our position this season along with going out of three cup competions give us room for optimism. ........ No!. Does a fanbase who pay alot of hard earned cash to support their team home and away expect something better than this seasons display?.......bl**dy right! !

Out of the Europe, out of Capital One, out of FA cup and sliding down the Prem like a turd down a flume, but we have some hope from adrianfc who states, we are not getting destroyed or easily beaten.
-
Oh ok, so our midfield is really strong atm?......should have gone to specsavers! I know ronald seems to be reasonably happy with our midfield, whatever one he puts out, but for me it is weaker than our attacking options.
-
Perhaps they are all having growth spurts at the same time. Lets be honest, the academy is not producing the quality it use to.
-
I've been saying this for years but they all still seem to be lured by the dosh rather than guaranteed regular playing time.
-
I don't thonk anyone is writing him off, just not the immediate answer to our lack of goals atm. It would be unfair and detrimental to him to bring him back and expect him to starting knocking in goals growth spurt or not.

Sadio Mane: "I don't want to stay at Southampton
Saint Billy replied to SaintLondon's topic in The Saints
Mane always looks miserable playing for us even when he scores, get top dollar for him and get rid even if the newspapers are spinning a yarn. I'm getting sick and tired of saints plucking these players from obscurity and within months they think we're too small for them and that they owe nothing to us. -
Getting him isn't easy either.
-
I don't, what we want is a manager who is wanted by bigger clubs which in essence means he is doing the business for us, rewarding him for staying with us and supplying the funds and backup for him to do his job properly. We cant have a team managed by a mediocre manager and ahem, mediocre players, none of which are wanted by other clubs, and expect a relatively good season.
-
Have to agree with this, he would galvanise our midfield for a start and he also has a decent shot in his locker plus he is English.
-
I'm still waiting for most of our present players to come good.
-
Is anyone confident that we will buy someone who can actually make a difference?
-
Who wouldn't?
-
Can anyone crack the code ?
-
According to some on here we dont need to!!
-
Why dont we look in the lower leagues, surely there is talent there good enough to bring on instead of wasting money on unknown foreign imports who find it difficult to settle into the Prem.
-
That is certainly the end of Bend it like Beckham, its got to be called the Cuco Bend from now on!.
-
Is that goal out of the blue/a one off or is he known for having a dig like that? If he can produce a shot like that and have a tidy game like he did today I would be inclined to keep him in the side.
