This squad has had the meat picked from the bones for a few years now and slowly replaced with cheaper alternatives. We are now down to the bare bones and yet our illustrious owners think that buying young kids with no real experience can not only earn big bucks but also help us to survive in the prem ffs. Then to rub salt into the wound, they hire a manager with no top flight experience and with more belief in Jesus than his squad, to get this shower out of trouble. Wow Rasmus and SR, I don't blame you for all the carnage, but,you are really ramming home that nail in the coffin.

I dated a woman from Thailand once......................... Don't ask!.
-
Bloody hell, half a mill would set me up for life. Oh to be a failed manager.
-
I just can't understand why we persist in buying players with shit track records. It was widely reported before we bought Lynaco that he was a lose canon and prone to defensive gaffs and yet Semmens and crew think that that this will help us in the premiership. Fekin unbelievable.
-
I somehow think we need more than a transfer window to sort this mess out. The decline has been going on for 3/4 years now and the changes that are required to put it right are wholesale.
-
I think this side would even struggle in the championship.
-
I'm getting fed up with the other half asking "Have they lost again".
-
Basically he is too young and inexperienced to have that amount of pressure heaped on him, especially playing behind a road crash of a defence such as ours. The young guys confidence has now been blasted out of existence and I can only blame the idiots who have put him in that situation.
-
He had more than enough time to see the team stress tested by watching endless videos of shit performances. There was absolutely no indication in the Brighton performance of even the slightest of improvement in any department with that display. A seasoned top flight manager would of at least picked up on the most obvious flaws and made some sort of adjustment and improvement, but there were none whatsoever in that performance and not even the new manager bounce.

Rate Saints business in the Summer 2022 Transfer Window
Saint Billy replied to Barsiem's topic in The Saints
Tbh, most of the new signings looked decent first few games until Ralph really got his claws into them, then it all went to shit, and expecting a guy who managed a mid table championship side to put right years of crap is just plain craziness of the first degree. -
No way, If I had a magic button you wouldn't see these owners, manager or squad.
-
I can't think of anything positive to say regarding saints atm. We are rock bottom because we have clueless owners who in their wisdom took far too long to sack a constantly clueless manager, and then decide to hire a second rate manager who is also obviously clueless to manage a bunch of clueless players and hope he has what it takes to get us out of a relegation fight in the toughest league in the world. The end result is what we are watching on the pitch.
-
Especially considering that was our top priority in the summer and we failed in getting anyone in.
-
The ironic thing is that if he regularly scored goals like the one against West Brom he would have been off anyway to a bigger club. When you support a club outside the top six and lower you can't win either way.

We didn’t start playing progressive and attacking football until after the french scored. Sometimes too much caution is a dangerous thing. We gave the ball away too much and in dangerous positions when attempting to play safe passes. Yes the ref was crap, but the french were always dangerous when attacking whereas we were tentative and hopeful. I like Southgate but I think he instills too much caution in our game which stifles our play. I’d prefer we played right from the word go like we started to after the french scored.

The minute I saw Maguire and Stones endlessly passing to eachother I gave up being interested. I've seen enough of this type of shit with saints to know that it rarely results in a win and the only person happy with that performance is Southgate. So bloody frustrating when there is an abundance of talent in our squad that could prove to the world we now have what it takes to win the world Cup with flair and yet Southgate decides to revert to setting up his side with the priority of not losing, and nearly was unstuck doing that.

Nuns are always welcome now we have God on our side.

Thank you.

Do you want Nathan Jones to Manage Southampton Football Club?
Saint Billy replied to Rivers's topic in The Saints
With you on that. Not that it is a requirement to have good interview skills, he did come across very nervous and hyper. I feel he was treading a fine line of trying to keep the Luton fans content just in case he doesn't get the job whilst eager not to send the wrong messages to SR. Not sure how his type of personality will go down with our players but from my perspective it doesn't install confidence. -

It was a definite no from me and even more so after watching that. The fact that we are considering this guy is so wrong on so many levels. It's like casting your line out to catch a marlin but reeling in a sprat and being told to be happy about it. -
He's going to have no hands pretty soon then.
-
If there is a God I'm pretty sure he has more important things to deal with than assisting some guy managing a football club.
-
Feck, it wasn't just a bad dream.
-
Not a problem if he keeps it to himself and doesn't spout about it in football interviews.

I really don't know what to make of this, either SR are deluded or they are geniuses. All feels like an anti climax atm and thoroughly depressing but time will tell I suppose.
