Are these young players being brought in primarily to strengthen the side or to increase their value to sell on in a year or two for a good profit?. I suspect the answer is both. Not sure if this is a good combo when trying to rebuild a side and create stability.

What we need is a modern day Ron Davies.

Move on from Delap and put all resources into getting a striker with a bit more first team experience. To me laying out that sort of money on a lad then expecting him to change our lack of goals from the word go is too much to expect from him along with all the pressure that comes with it, take A Armstrong as an example. City don't want to sell in any case so let's not waste time. Surely the 20 mil with 10 mil add ons we have offered for Delap is enough to tempt someone else, we could even throw in a player or two if it makes the deal sweeter.

I think we will struggle first half of the season due to all the new faces needing time to bed in. I think we will also struggle in the second half of the season due to half of those new faces not being up to it. Relegation could be on the cards. I hope I am thoroughly wrong believe me.

I suspect we will be probably starting off the season with more or less the team that finished last season, I can't see Ralph risking a wholesale change straight away.
