I for one, am in favour of our benevolent overlord Uncle Les. Long may it continue!

We'll lose - hopefully we play well at times so we can take something positive from it.

I think they're busy sharpening the pitch forks. Who would of thought that a shady billionaire who made his money working with a Russian career criminal would be anything less than honest. He's going to fleece them dry. Why is it when someone turns up with magic beans Scousers go weak at the knees?

I know Merson is a complete moron, but that is incredibly harsh on Leicester who managed to keep hold of Vardy and Mahrez as well as signing good players. Mental.

https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/aug/31/premier-league-2016-summer-transfer-window-club-by-club-verdicts I thought it would be interesting to see what people thought of the other teams summer business - in order to simplify it i went with a rating system of Amazing, Good, Ok, Poor, Dire. Amazing: Man City, Man United - signed some of the best players in the world and the best managers in the world. Good: Stoke, Chelsea, Saints, Liverpool, Spuds, Arsenal, Leicester Ok: West Ham, Bournemouth, Palace, Boro Poor: Sunderland, Everton, Burnley, Watford Dire: West Brom, Hull, Swansea - i can easily see Swansea and West Brom going down now, which is something i wouldn't have considered at the start of the summer. Out of the teams fighting for somewhere between 11th - 7th Stoke and Leicester have done the best business - closely followed by us. Seems that more or less the better teams with more cash had the best summer - who would have thought it!

Pretty good all things considered.

£30m for sissoko! At the beginning of the transfer window I was laughing at Ashley's £35m valuation - turns out it was pretty close. He is ****ing average.
-
Just imagine the crying when he takes 6 months to get to grips with the league like Mane!
-
he's worth about £250k and they are offering £2.5m.... i don't really care if he stays or goes - would prefer us to play a member of the youth team (Valery) over getting someone else in on loan though.
-
But what a 19 months! That assuming he goes to Barcelona afterwards - not hull.
-
There is no chance that William Carvalho is signing for West Brom.
-
I know it's not really our style to loan without an option to buy - but Wheelchair could be a good one - provided he isn't the **** in real-life that he is painted in the media and disrupts the team. Fills a position we could do with improving and adds real quality - we might even be able to get a fee out of them for him. We can offer - European football, a high standard of training & attractive football in a similar style to arsenal.
-
I wonder if when we where looking for a manager they wanted someone who played a true AMC in their preferred formation so we would have the best chance of signing this guy?
-
Get in. He's ****ing great for us.
-
Away at the San Siro - get the **** in!
-
Sassolo would be great for the 4th team - they are basically the saints of Italy.
-
Lots of great groups for us at the moment.
-
Going to turkey would be pretty grim at the moment.
-
Good god you are miserable - simply existing in the premier league is not enough for the majority of us. Away trips around Europe are brilliant and getting he chance to win something is even better! If we, and i think we will, get through to the knock out phase i'm expecting a massive U-Turn from everyone on here who is moaning about the EL.
-
Him Berahino and Rondon would be a pretty attacking front 3 for where they are in the table. Hopefully he will be in Berahino's ear all the time getting him to stay at West Brom so we can buy him for a reduced price in Jan!
-
Dundalk would be fun - worked with a few people from that part of the world and they were certainly interesting characters!
-
Why does everyone have to be so negative about this - it's great news! If we only get Boufal in as well it's been a good summer transfer window - another attacker to replace JRod going out on Loan i can take or leave. It was really important for us to keep the back 5 together this summer - then the attackers we have to plug in can play with a lot more freedom knowing there is a solid defensive unit behind them.
