I was saying only the other week, "yes we just got dicked nine nil at home, but taken as a whole, queues, burgers, scarves, toileting facilities our match day experience was wonderful, just lacked somebody blowing hot air up our collective arses.

This constant on-line harassment of Kat, and it's flip side, the raising to God like status of her father Marcus does illustrate a phenomena of the human soul, the simple need for heroes and villains. As far as I can see, once you strip back all the positive PR for Marcus, and the negative mob thinking for Kat, you're left with three basic facts. One a successful business man buys a failing company turns it around. Two he dies. Three, his heirs sell successful company to highest bidder. I see nothing to elevate the former to a Hero status, or the latter to hate figure. Everything else is ill-founded nonsense.

We'll be one up with 5 mins to go and lose 1-2. No staminer.
-
Me too. Some of his substitution decisions are at best odd. His insistence until recently of playing five across the back and players played out of position, and as has been mentioned before the team don't look fit enough. He may come good, we need him to.

This. There was a real feeling that our name was on the cup that year; drawn away from home in each round, that 4th round tie 92min winner at Portsmyth; and then Adrian ****ing Heath pops up. I'm still gutted.

Middlesboro or Tranmere away, as I've not been to either and fancy it.

The problem with Boufal is the same problem with three-quarters of our squad, and that's a lack of consistency. He does deserve to start Wednesday though if he can avoid kitchen tables .

That was the football culture in the 70's for sure, sing when you're winning boo when you're loosing, and to be honest I don't see the harm in that. The 'uber' support where any form of criticism is frowned on is all a bit false. Back at the Dell in the 70's if there was no action a slow handclap would start up, if we lost we booed the off. Simple, call a spade a spade.
-
Yep there's no getting away from it, middle aged blokes in replica shirts are no use to anyone and should be restrained at home on match days.
-
If we don't win, officially yes. No team in the history of top flight football (all 130 years plus) has failed to win any of their opening 7 fixtures. Another record about to be broken.

You really don't want to watch this.

Stubbed his big toe on the kitchen table. I kid you not

Ralph should save his breath. Obafami is not good enough whatever his attitude is. He's 2 leagues above where he would regularly score.

The club have said in the past that selling players at a profit is policy. That's a fact. And yes players will leave for bigger clubs and more money, you cant stop that . But when the club assembles a group of players based on what they think they can sell them on for, rather than assembling a group of players to create an effective team you're going to run into problems, and we have. -
I'm with the committee if they are against half-and-half scarves. And anybody wearing a replica shirt anywhere other than in the bedroom should have a 5 year banning order. Minimum.

I'm not really having a pop at him, my beef is really with the owners/ board who seem reluctant to change course. More buying young prospects with the idea of selling on at a profit; which is what got us into this mess on the first place. -

My point exactly. Everyone of them sold at huge profit before Southampton FC could benefit from their brilliance. That's the Southampton way, as opposed to The Leicester way which is unearth top players and invest in them and win something. -

I guess it depends on your definition of 'worked'. If you mean unearthed/developed exciting new players to he sold at profit to Liverpool you might be right. Maybe I'm alone in wanting a bit more. Leicester didn't win the premiership by being a feeder club. -

Smacks of an appointment with minimal research. Of all the potential DoFs in the world the best is someone already known by the club. What a surprise. So when we need new ideas because the last stratedgy failed, we're back to the Southampton Way. More recruiting any young player we think we can turn a profit on and little regard for building a team. Typically disappointing. -

And the revolving door continues. -
Have we won 5 in a row since being back in the Premiership? I dont think so but happy to be proved wrong.
