Players and staff donate ONE DAYS Wages to Saints Foundation
Morse replied to Noodles34's topic in The Saints
One days wages adds insult to injury. Seriously just one effing days pay. Keep it you pathetic bunch of no marks. They just don't get it do they. -
There is so much wrong with the club is hard to know where to begin but here goes... 1. Ownership. Gaos motives are unclear but creating a winning football club is not it. 2. Leadership. There is none, from the boardroom to the playing field. 3. Strategy. Buying young and cheap to sell onto competitors does not work and demoralised the fan base.
-
All of those players will have clauses in their contracts adjusting their pay downwards if we're relegated making it far easier to shift them on.
-
Saints will buy at CB and FB, new DoF in a month, says Telegraph
Morse replied to DuncanRG's topic in The Saints
Having a policy of only buying younger players is the problem. Cahill was available on a free in the Summer and is looking like Palaces player of the season so far. Laurie Mac built his success of mixing cheap old players with young. We dont need to spend a fortune. -
If Ralph is going to be sacked he needs help. A decent coaching team would do that. Kelvin Davies is not good enough and should be moved on.
-
We could crowd fund legal action against the FA. It is they who didn't follow their own rules when passing Gao a 'fir and proper' person to own a football club, on the second time of asking.
-
No. They are *****s. Anybody who hasn't had the dignity to either leave or boo every one of those poor excuses of players is no Saints fan
-
My heart says sack Ralph, my head says nobody could do any better with thus abysmal squad.
-
I can see nothing other than a Leicester win. I predict 0-2
-
All this talk of videos and youtube clips of potential signings is one thing, but I can't believe we can spend eight figure sums on a player without having someone very senior at the club watching that player at least half-a-dozen times. Surely!!!
-
Couldn't agree more. China is a human rights waste land, and our particular Chinaman allegedly has blood on his hands. Nothing good is going to come our way with Gao as owner.
-
Hes not to blame for such a poor squad. I understand the desire to bring on youth players, and I understand the need to sell before we buy but Cahill was available for free and doing brilliantly at CPFC and yet we have the worst centre halves in the Premiership. That's bad planning
-
Whether we mind relegation or not, I think we better get use to the idea. You can get away with having a sub standard squad only for so long and I fear our time is running out. On the plus side there will be clauses regarding relegation into the player contracts which means the dross we cant sell should be easier to shift

Good to see the Clotese myth is still alive and kicking.
-
Pompey fan on a string must be included, but with the exception of Matt le Tiss songs no player song should be sung . All players are over paid mercenaries and can do one.

On the Woolston ferry It doesn't travel very fast, It wasn't built for comfort, It was built to last. If you're ever in Sholing And you want to go to town Don't go through Bitterne It's the long way round Take a trip across the water Take a trip across the sea If you're a pedestrian You can go for free On the woolston ferry It doesn't go very fast It wasn't built for comfort It was built to last.

Of course things have changed, not least that football which was a working class sport is now very much a middle class sport

You need the threat of physical violence. Last Tuesday bigger threat of violence thus fewer girls and grannies, thus better atmosphere. Same as in the 70s and 80s. I'm not advocating kicking off but it does help the atmosphere.

There is not one if our CBs who would get a start in any other premiership team. Until we can shift some of Reeds mistakes out , or the Chinaman opens his wallet, we're stuck with them.
-
Don't know where you were looking but there was a stampede for the door when the fourth went in. The atmosphere was great from the Saints end, but to be honest I expected more from them.
-
I make it 5 points thanks to a point each from Wolves and Leicester and 3 from Everton, unless Ralph continues to fart-arse about playing players out of position and then I expect zero points.
