  1. Pompey fan on a string must be included, but with the exception of Matt le Tiss songs no player song should be sung . All players are over paid mercenaries and can do one.
  2. On the Woolston ferry It doesn't travel very fast, It wasn't built for comfort, It was built to last. If you're ever in Sholing And you want to go to town Don't go through Bitterne It's the long way round Take a trip across the water Take a trip across the sea If you're a pedestrian You can go for free On the woolston ferry It doesn't go very fast It wasn't built for comfort It was built to last.

Of course things have changed, not least that football which was a working class sport is now very much a middle class sport

You need the threat of physical violence. Last Tuesday bigger threat of violence thus fewer girls and grannies, thus better atmosphere. Same as in the 70s and 80s. I'm not advocating kicking off but it does help the atmosphere.

  8. There is not one if our CBs who would get a start in any other premiership team. Until we can shift some of Reeds mistakes out , or the Chinaman opens his wallet, we're stuck with them.
  9. Away to Man City
  10. Don't know where you were looking but there was a stampede for the door when the fourth went in. The atmosphere was great from the Saints end, but to be honest I expected more from them.
  11. I make it 5 points thanks to a point each from Wolves and Leicester and 3 from Everton, unless Ralph continues to fart-arse about playing players out of position and then I expect zero points.

    Che Adams

I did have my doubts about him when it was well known we were after him for some months yet no other premiership teams competed for his signature, which means 19 other clubs had a look and went "nah"

    Che Adams

I'm calling it now. He's not good enough. Another championship player who can't make the step up. He might break his duck against Portsmyth, if Ralph doesn't have another stroke of genius and rest him, but that'll be just papering over the cracks.
  14. Bournemouth didn't win last night as much as Ralph lost it. With a small handful of exceptions we're not a very good team and without Dejenepo scoring great solo goals we would be in a relegation fight already. But what the hell wad Ralph thinking about with that defensive set up ????? Play your best players in their best positions FFS
  15. A great player and a much better manager than some gave him credit for at the time, me included. I hope he's getting the care he needs; but continuing cuts to social services will only get worse if the tories remain in charge, so he and other dementia sufferers are going to need all the charity they can get. Good luck fella
  16. Oh get over yourself. Liverpool fans giving it large over Munich. Man U giving it large over Hillsborough etc etc… Welcome to football. FWIW I feel great sympathy for Salas family and friends at this tragedy as anyone would. But as far as i'm aware he never met his team mates, never met any fans, and never set foot in Cardiff. The only 'loss' to Cardiff is on the balance sheet.
  17. We got away with it last year, but even with the improvements made by Ralph H we're still a team who's defence is at the very best lower Championship level. I think our numbers up this time. Pity Les Read wont be around to carry the can.

    Cortese

I still can't believe how such a football genius has not been snapped up by another club. Such insight and brilliance lost to the football world it enough to make you cry. I blame forces intolerant to those who wear lifts in their shoes!
  19. No. He bought the club for £10m out of administration. That money would have gone to the administrators first, the tax man second, and then any secured debtors. Barclays lost a lot of money on the deal but not as much as if we had gone bust.
  20. We'll probably play quite well but lose due to defensive errors. Same old same old
  21. Unless we can buy replacements for Yoshida, vestergaard, and Hoadt, we're down. You can't coach that level of incompetence into anything useable.
  22. A good article that outlines our recent problems. The change of manager and technical directors etc should have been made 12 months ago though
  23. The sooner we're relegated out of this toddy league the better. Then we can play in a genuinely competitive league and when we when it we can refuse promotion and attempt to be the first club to win back to back championships.
  24. Under new rules the big six will earn more from tv rights so surely they should pay more for Scudamore.
