That's what 3 years of bad recruitment and trading looks like. Selling Ings with no replacement!!!!!!
-
It's easy to laugh at protesters in general, but the truth is protest does keep the pressure on those making decisions in whatever walk of life. SISA were knocked by some at the time, but they kept the issue in the newspapers and made it difficult for the clubs then owners to pretend all was rosy. Never looks good when owners like Sport Republic are entertaining their sponsors, if there is a couple of hundred spoty herberts outside singing 'hang the board'.
-
Whoever is in goal will drop at least one clanger. Our back four will fall asleep at least twice. Any chance falling to Che Adam's will be fired straight at their keeper, and Lavia will still be 'injured' and sold the next day. Fulham 3-0
-
Not sell Lavia or BK. Loan in an experienced defensive midfielder. Get a decent striker. Sack Jones.
-
..or wheels.
-
Sad but true.
-
Jones never made sense as a appointment. Sports Republic should get shot of him now while there is still hope, but then Sports Republic shouldn't have appointed him in the first place, so don't hold your breath they'll do the sensible thing.
-
Do you want Nathan Jones to Manage Southampton Football Club?
Morse replied to Rivers's topic in The Saints
This shocking appointment is just another fück up from SR after their failure to get a striker in the summer. I fear they're going to do for us what SISU have done for Coventry. -
Personally I'm not writing him off on his interview technique I'm writing him off based on his 15% win ratio at Stoke and his lack of top level experience.
-
Will there be any anti-Jones protests at the game tonight?
Morse replied to once_bitterne's topic in The Saints
Welcoming Jones would be a bit like welcoming a dose of the clap. Why would you do it? -
It's not too late. I would appeal to anyone with direct access to Sports Republic to try to talk them down. There's no need for haste.
-
The game has moved on ever so slightly in the 49 years since Laurie McMenemy was appointed.
-
If it happens, this will be one of the biggest throws of a dice the club has made. Totally unfathomable. There are dozens of managers with better records than Jones in the lower leagues, just look at the comparable stats, so why this fella other than he'll be really, really cheap?
-
Ralph and the squad will be travelling to Spurs with trousers already unbuckelled to facilitate a quick and inevitable pants down spanking.
-
One of our problems in recruitment is the unwritten law that all signings must have the potential to be sold on for a profit, ie young and unproven in a top league. All well and good but the occasional experienced player, 30+, often available on free transfers would help the squad develop and widen the net for quality signings.

Listen to all rhe 'grown ups'. Listen the fella that headbutted Sharp, should, and I expect will do time. The blokes tw8t. But there's nothing wrong with a good old fashioned pitch invasion. I would say there aren't enough. My first apart from last game of the season was v Leeds 1979.

I can see this ending in court if the Saudi outfit stay up. Makes you wonder at the fvckwits at the PL.
-
Its hard to think of a worst managed business strategy. From 'this is happening from August' to complete collapse in 48 hours. !!!! It's surprising these owners and their CEO's have the wit to dress themselves in the morning.
-
BBC hearing from well placed source 2 of the twelve clubs are already getting cold feet. Man U and RM the driving force behind this, and the three american owned english clubs are determined to do this.
-
It's about having a competition that would interest tv enough to cough up enough money to keep the likes of us, Wolves, Villa etc going and still be an open competition with promotion and relegation.
-
If this goes ahead, competition for a top four place in the Premiership will be lost, thus so will interest from TV, and that means a lot less money for clubs like ours. The value of SFC will then be dramatically reduced, and Gao will be owing millions on a club not worth the mortgage. So while the big 6 get bigger we and clubs like ours will not only get poorer we could go bust. Our best bet is to throw them out of the Premier League and invite Rangers, Celtic, Ajax, Feyenoord to replace them.
-
Just keep it respectable that's all I ask. I'd take a 4 - 0 loss.
-
Good question, what did happen to those guys?
