A lot of the skill of appointing a new manager is positively managing the expectation of the fan base. If you start off with an untried ' left field ' appointment like Jones or Still the honeymoon period is going to be a lot shorter than if you appoint a more established name. So if the club wants to go with someone unexpected they better have a decent striker on board to help things along. Clearly another SR mistake !

Spors is at least partially responsible for the recruitment of Still, the extension of Stephens contract, and the failure to secure a decent keeper or striker. He is bang on brand for SR, and as such should leave the club ASAP.

I said from the outset it was a ridiculous appointment. He has won fuck all and only managed in micky mouse leagues, and i include the French top flight in that as anyone who has watched it beyond PSG will know, finishing 8th ! It was a stupid appointment made by people,desperately trying to be clever. With our comparatively good rescouses for this league any number of experienced managers would be walking away with this league by now, but we had to go with the inexperienced, untested option. I would LOVE to be proved wrong and would happily eat any amount of humble pie if we make the playoffs with Still. But I can't see that happening and I'm very fucking angry with SR for fucking up AGAIN.
