Saints 0 Man Utd 0 - Buildup, Match and over-reactions Thread
sadoldgit replied to Heisenberg's topic in The Saints
Isn't this the match thread? Why don't the Puel Out brigade take their daily offerings to the Puel Out thread where they belong? -
If the club made decisions based on Twitter or on here they would need to be certified.
-
You can bet your life that if Puel was to go and Silva came in and struggled, Batman would be the first one on here saying gone by Christmas!
-
Its great you should pop over. Much less negativity (unless you are a Tory) and much more fun! So then, to the match. A comfortable enough win for our B team but still it isn't enough for some. Tadic misses a penalty that would have guaranteed three points against Hull and Long missed a penalty that would have made a comfortable win more comfortable. If we still had a Rickie in his prime Puel's season would have been so much easier. The managers get stick but if the players aren't doing what Premiership quality players should be doing from 12 yards, we just end up making life tough for ourselves. Some canny buys in the summer and we could be looking at a decent season again next year - but if we do finish in the top ten again, four years on the trot is nothing to wet the bed over.
-
Hard evidence? And not the father of a mate of a hairdresser please. If it is true we had the same stories in Koeman's time. Mind you, if I was only earning £50k a week for kicking a ball around I expect I would be unhappy too.
-
Yep, just like Puel was going to be gone by Christmas eh?
-
That will never do. The people who know far better than the Board and the manager have already told us he is off next season. Proof, if any were needed is that he didn't attend the players do the other night. I'm with the bedwetters on this. They are always right!

Liverpool 0-0 Saints - Match & Reactions Thread

We drew against Liverpool at Anfield. What a disgrace. Sack everybody. -
Sad, but true!
-
Funny? He is the Royal equivalent to Mrs Brown. He is an embarrassing old duffer who gets away with it because he used to **** the monarch.
-
When he isn't shaking hands he spends his time on here slagging off foreigners under the name of Sour Mash.
-
I love it when people say things like we are a laughing stock. You know that you don't need to take their posts seriously.
-
You say that he has lost the dressing room as if it is a fact. You do know it is only a rumour don't you?
-
Just read the whole article from over 2 years ago and nowhere does it say that Les Reed wants a yes man.
-
Have the papers provided reliable sources for these rumours or are they just spreading fake news? I'd like to see some proper evidence about these senior players who apparently are clearly not happy with him. It wasn't that long ago we had precisely the same rumours about some players and Koeman.
-
That would be the same way that people who don't agree with you are "Happy Clappers" then? Oh and as for Long and his purple patch and your assertion that Puel isn't getting the best out of him. All I would say is that Puel is no worse than most of Long's previous managers because as far as I can see, he has only had one purple patch in his whole career.

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES

No you are not me (thank God). But as well as being hypo you are apparently Sweetcorn. Good of you to give me advice but you'll have to excuse me if I don't take it. For a start it is hard to take someone with multiple user names on the same internet forum seriously. Also you seem completely unable to read something and process it properly. Lastly I have zero respect for Islamophobes. Yes you are right, this thread was started (by me) about a terrorist attack. Like the majority of threads on here it has gone off at a tangent many times. In this case, the tangent has been caused by you and your buddies who have decided that we wont just castigate the murdering extremists, but that we will also include the vast majority of Muslims who go about their lives peacefully and within the law. And before you try and pretend you are not cut from the same cloth as Sour Mash, when people say things like "although extremism is prevalent within most forms of Islam" you don't have to be a rocket scientist to see where they are coming from. Funnily enough though, earlier in this thread you seemed to be saying that you agreed that the vast majority of Muslims were harmless. I didn't buy that at the time and at least you have the balls to come out and say what you really mean, finally. So then hypo, Sweetcorn or whoever you are today, although you are supposedly married to someone with a Muslim background, you can take you bigoted views and your pathetic attempts to twist what I say (again) into something else entirely and shove it where the sun don't shine -
I remember Poch getting plenty of stick on here because he didn't have a plan B. I remember plenty here calling for Koeman to be sacked one Christmas and now the same people want Puell out. Its odd but I distinctly remember people here saying that a mid table finish and a good cup run would do them this season? We talk about Spurs, Arsenal and Liverpool fans as being self entitled and delusional, but, reading here, we have plenty of supporters like that too. One even suggests sacking the Board FFS.

Mass rape and sexual assaults. How many were charged and convicted? Third time of asking. I did not say that they were comparable. I said **** happens here too. Very frequently. But you ignore this and focus on the behaviour of Muslims and migrants as if some how that is worse. -

Where exactly do I say that the incidents in Cologne were compatible to Maidstone on a Friday/Saturday night? What I say is that the behaviour of that night isn't the preserve of Muslim men. I also say that Maidstone town centre on the weekends is like a scene from an old Wild West town. I didn't say that it was like Cologne. It is something you have imagined. And thanks for showing that I didn't condone what happened that night. But you said that there were "masses" of rapes and sexual assaults, so once again, please tell us how many men were charged and convicted of rape or sexual assault that night? After all, there were "masses" so it cant be too hard. Since the weekend at least 4 people have been stabbed to death in London, the latest was found on a bus. I assume that none of these attacks have been carried out by Muslim terrorists as I am sure Batman would have pointed them out to us. Every day women are raped and beaten in this country by what you would term as one of us (ie not Muslims or migrants). Every day there are cases of GBH, ABH, aggravated burglary, theft etc etc by people who are not Muslim or migrants. But yet you only seem to be outraged when Muslims or migrants are involved in wrong doing. I will say again following your kind recap of my quote, this behaviour is not the preserve of Muslim men (and I should have added or migrants). Most rational people understand that, but you and a few other people here seem to think that because someone happens to be a Muslim or a migrant, they are more likely to commit crimes and that their behaviour is somehow worse and more comment worthy than crimes committed by others. Oh, and its not just Maidstone town centre that is rowdy at weekends - towns all over the UK get lively, have you never been in a town centre at chucking out time from the pubs? -

Once more you make things up to suit your own bigoted agenda. I didn't say that Cologne was like a Saturday night in Maidstone. I pointed out that these things go on all the time here but you only seem bothered if crimes are carried out by Muslims or migrants. Also please tell me out of the "mass sex attacks and rape across Cologne" how many people were charged and convicted with sexual assault and rape. It should be hard for you because there were so many. -
It is a bit of a leap assuming that the club don't think he is competent isn't it? If he has been brought in as cover and we don't need that cover as neither of the other two centre halves haven't been injured, it hardly means the club think is incompetent.

It isn't terrorism that you are obsessed with, it is Islam and Muslims in general. As for not having time to post on here, I never said that. I said that I didn't have time to go back through this thread and find the bit where we discussed the positive things that Islam has been responsible for. You are the one with the problem with Islam so I suggest you go find it. I know it is here because I posted on it. I expect you did too. -

Weird thing to say? It was a light hearted remark hypo. You should try and develop a sense of humour, it goes a long way to make these dark days a little easier! So you say "thankfully your wife isn't a practising Muslim." Would you love her any less if she was? You do know that most practicing Muslims are no more a problem to society than any other person? And you keep talking about the numbers of Muslims who hold views incompatible by those in the west. Do you have any figures to back your view up? It would seem to me that if the majority of Muslims held extreme views and acted on them we would be in big trouble. If you are a woman or a gay man you are more likely to be persecuted by "one of us" than a Muslim. You do know that don't you? I am sure we are all agreed that extremism, in any shape or form, is reprehensible. People going about their everyday lives peacefully and not bothering anyone else are not. The fact that you don't like their religion doesn't make the slightest bit of difference. -

Not really answering the question is it SM? Why is it that you focus 100% on Muslims and completely ignore the fact that, every day, non Muslims carry out appalling crimes. The simple fact is that there are many people who are f*cked up on this planet, not just some of those who follow Islam, but you chose to make an issue out of those alone. I'll give you this though, you are very persistent.
