Swap the Everton squad for the Southampton squad for the last two seasons and do you really believe things would have been any different? The same players would pretty much have ended up at the same clubs. Maybe Chambers would have stayed but then who is going to turn down £16m for Chambers?

I guess this means VVD is staying at Celtic or going to Everton or Stoke. I guess this means nothing of the sort as absolutely nothing has been said about VVD.

Exactly. Cork was offered a contract but decided to move to Swansea. There really is no point in dragging him up all the time. We didn't sell him. He decided to go.

World Class is players like Ronaldo, Messi, Zidane etc. Morgan doesn't sit in with that type of player yet. Being at Manchester United might help his cause but you can hardly be World Class if you are not a regular for your national team.

For me you should give someone at least 30 minutes if you are looking to shake things up a bit.

The window is a royal pain in the @rse. I don't know why they changed it. You used to be able to buy and sell players right up to the final month of the season which negated all the nonsense you get in the summer and over Christmas. If they have to have a window then shut it before the season starts. Dealing with the Sadio and Vic rumours before a game yesterday was not the best preparation. Having to wait until Celtic know what is happening in the European challenge before we can sign VvD is not ideal. Extend it as it used to be or shut it earlier, but do something. This currently is a bloody mess.

Who is moving? The club have stated firmly that Fonte and Mane are staying. JRod has yet to get back up to speed. We have Bertrand and Clasie yet to start a Prem match and by all accounts a new CH is on hos way in. Why be pessimistic?

As good as Morgan was for us, I think World Class is pushing it a bit. He is still not a shoe-in with the French side. Players that good, Zidane for example, are the first name on the team sheet. Maybe he will eventually become World Class but at his age I think it is unlikely. Quality player clearly though.

I think sometimes it is easy to overthink a game plan. We should have enough about us to let them worry about us rather than worrying about them. The old Stokes of this world don't do anything different to other teams, just more of it. Any defence should be able to deal with aerial threats as well as ground threats. Ashley Cole isn't the tallest (5' 9") but I don't recall Chelsea dropping him to the bench whenever they played Stoke.

How many times has an ex player returned to score an important goal against us? It doesn't matter who plays or who manages us, it always seems to happen.
