The "point" about the Mail is that, more than any other paper, seem to have had it in for SFC this summer. How much is BS and who much is true who knows - but they do seem to have an agenda.
The club themselves made a point of saying that the Mail (and the Echo for that matter) print rubbish about the club. Would you disagree that the Mail has printed more negative stories about SFC than most this summer???
The point is that the Mail have probably done more muck racking about SFC this summer than any other newspaper which would imply there is some kind of agenda going on.
As a kid I had a choice of subbing for the school 1st X1 or playing in the second team. After a while I decided to play for the second team as I wanted to play for 90 mins. Eventually I got a first team place so it paid off - but I hated being sub.
The Mail publishes a lot more rubbish about Saints than other papers but yes - there is a lot of cr*p printed. For example, Capel was supposed to have been a done deal today.
Why would the management wait until the day of a match to have that conversation with Morgan's agent? I thought it had been "sorted" before Saturday anyway.
Damned if you have ambition, damned if you dont. It is not unreasonable to a club/manager to aim for CL football in x years time. It is unreasonable for a club/manager to say they WILL be playing CL football in x years time.
Hopefully it is a load of idle speculation. The media loves transfer windows and like to stoke up interest by throwing as much speculation out there as possible.
Koeman said he was part of his plans. Daily Mail not best place for facts. Not sure about insurance issues when signing players with serious injuries. I'll believe it if and when it happens.
