Delldays, there is a huge difference between trying for a CL place (which, if you are a Prem club, you should all be hoping for) and telling players and anyone who will listen it WILL happen.
Lambert is a Saints legend as was Big Ron Davies (who really should be added). I dont think Lallana qualifies though. Was was part of the squad that brought eventual success but he only really started to make his mark in terms of consistant quality last year. Lambert and Davies and the rest were quality throughout.
Surely the one who needs to worry about Taider's failure here is Taider himself. He has made himself look very unprofessional and you'd think others would think twice before signing him.
Can we now expect an article in the Daily Mail talking about how well the Board and manager have done in stabilising the club and rebuilding the squad in a short space of time? Somehow I doubt it.
Agreed. The Board have delivered as best they can and even though they have missed some targets at least they have been going for decent players. Not unhappy with the squad and looking forward to seeing what RK can get out of them.
I expect they are still pretty raw after the kicking they have had from many over the summer and are playing hardball now before they get more flak. Mind you they did the same with Poch and Lovren. No love lost there either!
It used to be a career ending injury. I know they can do a lot more now days but I agree - I think he will struggle to get back much before Christmas and will be at risk for more niggley injuries when he does return.
It dosnt matter as long as they are totty. Doesnt matter what a bloke looks like but if he is a good sports presenter he will get a job. Ever seen an ugly woman sports presenter? Well apart from Claire Balding of course.
The "point" about the Mail is that, more than any other paper, seem to have had it in for SFC this summer. How much is BS and who much is true who knows - but they do seem to have an agenda.
The club themselves made a point of saying that the Mail (and the Echo for that matter) print rubbish about the club. Would you disagree that the Mail has printed more negative stories about SFC than most this summer???
