By all means have a pop at my thread Dune, but a troll?

I appreciate that some people are kicking off and that some people are trying to be fair and even handed. However, whichever way you look at it it has not been a great day for SFC. I really hope I am wrong, but I think today's debacle, be it Cortese fault or the medias fault, makes promotion this year more unlikely. Is it a coincidence or has the fact that Markus has sadly passed away means that a steading hand on the tiller has gone and we are now adrift and well off course? And if that is the case, how long before the family get shot of us?
-
Because it would show him in a bad light. He got rid of Pardew because there was a clash of personalities, not for footballing reasons - and now he is trying to replace him with lesser managers.
-
Lowe is the past and Cortese is now, but the more I hear about this character the more I worry about our future. Today's debacle has done little to improve his status. This season lurches from bad to worse. To be honest I think we have actually found someone worse.

If we are going to get rid of a manager like Pardew, wouldn't you try and replace him with someone better? With all due respect, I don't think that Howe or Adkins are better.
-
Are Pardew, Adkins and Howe invited?
-
Neither Adkins or Howe have the WOW factor for me, but today has not been great for SFC.
-
This is the problem though. Pardew wanted to be judged after 18 months yet some had him down as a failure after 18 matches. He never did make it to 18 months and despite winning something and doing ok is seen as a failure. We are expecting to go up THIS season. Nothing less was expected of Pardew. Will Adkins (if it is him) be allowed time to do his job or branded as a failure if he doesn't make at least the play offs?

Wigley and Gray were obviously both highly thought of within the club and good at the job they did. I don't think there is anything wrong with promoting from within if you think you have the right person. As it turns out neither of them were really good enough for the step up but that only became apparent after the event. There was a round of applause from the 1st team sqaud when Gray was announced as manager. Wigley was unfortunate in that he lost a number of his better players to injury and didn't have the chance to bring his own in. However as neither of them have gone on to stake a claim as a decent no 1 then you must assume that they were better where they were (and there is nothing wrong with being a decent no 2 or coach). Even the great Clough failed at Leeds though so perhaps it is just often timing and circumstances. As we know the first thing the great Lawrie Mac did was to take us down!

That comes at the end of the season and if he takes us up fair play to the bloke and he will get a wow from me. I am talking about the initial reaction and it is a hmmmmm rather than wow. When told to expect a wow I wasn't thinking hmmmmm I was expecting a wow (and no, not MoN). I am sure you get my drift Nick.

Where are they going to install him?
-
Like Terry Hurlock?
-
And if you are reading this, was Jimmy Saville a peado?
-
With all due respect to Adkins, the Wow factor is not something you associate with him.

Did they take pictures of the site without permission?

Do they have a red sash across their donkey jackets do you think?

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo Paul

I wonder if George W Bush is a distant relative?

I was delighted when I heard we had Pardew and we need someone else with a decent pedigree. I can't see Brown getting the job as there would be another clash of egos. Proven for me but it looks like we are going for potential, which is fine if that potential is realised.

I have mixed feelings about this committee idea. If there was a committee under Lowe sometimes it worked sometimes it didn't. We should remember that we did have some decent players under him including the best Prem keeper and centre half. I don't know if Ferguson makes his own transfer decisions but he has made some howlers. Whatever the set up, you just have to hope that he/they make the right calls at the right times.

1. An Italian 2. Keegan 3. Lambert

Shouldn't the manager be the one dipping into the transfer market? Still, I bet your wife is delighted that it isn't going to be Martin O'Neill Alps.
-
Perhaps we should play the White Witch up front?
-
I think the words "valuable life force" are misused Alps. When you pass over you will have wated a very large proportion of your life force writing rubbish on the internet. What value there? You take every opportunity to have a pop at Burley and yes, we can expect the same fate to befall Pardew. Funny that you don't use your time to have a pop at the one manager in recent times deserving of your scorn, Harry Redknapp. Why is that? I can accept it if both Burley and Pardew had win ratios of 3 in 13.
