I agree. I think it was the right decision but after the dignity and loyalty he showed to the club through the last few months he deserved better. He obviously thought he had a job for the forthcoming season and the poor guy must be gutted. If it is a clean sweep they want why is Mr Oldknow here? Still, onwards and upwards. Here's hoping the new manager can take this club forward and help to bring back some sunshine!

I had grave doubts about the whoe MLT as Chairman malarkey. Great player, knows his burgers but a business man? Anyways, hopefully he can take over from LM as a "front man". No he isn't. Alpine spent a lot of time slagging him off when he at least won football matches, remember those days? This thread is all about morons. He is deemed by a number of people as a failure yet no one else in our lifetime has been able to get more points per game.....and these same people thought that Wilde and Co were a good idea...oh and Pinnacle......see where we are going here?

Lowe had his faults but in 10 years we did actually achieve a lot more than many other Prem clubs. But if you want to see those years as a failure that is fine.

What? When he left we were closer to the play off places than relegation. He won 1.54 points per game, more than any other manager - including Bates and McMenemy -since the war. But for a couple of individual mistakes by players we would have made the play off final. Yep what a failure eh?

LOL, I wouldn't lump everyone in with Alpine! There are morons and then there is Alpine who is soooooo far out there on his own. Although I am still wondering why Um Pahars' nephew hasn't headed up a consortium to take over by now! So maybe Steve should be there too? Of course Administration was never going to be a good thing, but there were those who thought that anything that got rid of Panto villian Lowe was a GOOD thing. Administration has been a nightmare. We have lost good players, we have nearly lost the club, but hey, Lowe's gone!!! Yay. When will people learn? It is not about personalities, it is about dealing with what is with what you have. Alpine would have us believe that Burley's management was a total failure. Play off place in his full season, no danger of relegation. Winning matches away from home and at home. Administration would be our saviour from the likes of Burley and Lowe. People like GM and Jonah were PR plants or the enemy within despite being spot on about abour the Wilde Bunch and the Pinnacle farce. Anyone who ever tried to be balanced was accused of being, oh dear, a "Lowe Luvvie." Morons, Alpine, God we have our share of people who just don't get it, but hey, we got our club back..................

Patience is a virtue Alpine. If you had your way we would have been snapped up by some second rate buyer weeks ago. Hopefully we will end up with something of substance and not just a cheapo quick fix. And if we do Fry deserves credit, not a dose of Alpine vitriol.

That is something I would like to know too! If there was no substance there how come they wasted so much prescious time. Perhaps Mr Fry would like to explain?
