  1. Going to need a good few liveners in the system before kick off for this one.
  2. The fact is that at the moment we find both scoring and defending a bit tricky. Fully expecting a Hammers win (coupled with 90 minutes of nauseating blowing bubbles song sh*te), with queuing for a tepid beer starting on around 38 mins. Hard to see the afternoon panning out any differently right now, but where there's life there's hope.
  3. First time I’ve seen his name mentioned this ebening.
  4. Seems a bit harsh to wheel the bloke out into a presser only to be quizzed about his (seemingly) inevitable sacking.
  5. JWP was awful against Villa, but that's a rarity.....not sure he deserves a place at the momentgiven his form lately, although that argument is then swifly thrown out the window by Henderson being included. I feel massivley underwhelmed by this WC already.
  6. Is this some sort of doppelgänger 11?!
  7. not sure where the Le Saux thing has come from.....he regained some of his best form with us....i don't recall him being just average at Saints.
  8. An an aside to this, it'd be nice to see a ref go to the monitor of his own volition to look at something, rather than only when being asked to. Just wander over and look if you're not sure. It's really not that difficult.
  9. I still don’t get why they have Neville commentating on Utd games and Carragher on Liverpool games. Aren’t we supposed to have unbiased and neutral commentary? Wrong thread I suspect, but why can’t the ref’s just play advantage like in rugby? Give it 15-20 seconds and see how it plays out. If no advantage is gained in that time bring it back. Really isn’t rocket science.
  10. Trying to work out why you’d agree a fee with the club that you were happy to sell at….but hadn’t decided if you were going to sell or not?
  11. Big team acting like babies when things not going their way. What a shock. Jorginho is such a diving wet fart.
  12. A fast start by us, with a goal in the first 15-20 mins. All over them, should be 3-4 up by half time. 2nd half is the reverse, they score on around 55-60 mins and then bags the win on 87 mins. #Saintsy.
  13. And i'm sure that being appreciated by the fans is at the top of most footballers minds when it comes to a transfer....
  14. Good to see Ben White still stealing a living.
  15. What's Mike Reid's foreskin got to do with it?
  16. Genuine question - does anyone think that if we could sign a top player on a free, the club would smash any wage structure and pay them...say....£200k+ per week? Or do the club feel that this would upset the whole apple cart and so not entertain it? Even though ultimately they'd pay less over a few years without a transfer fee.
  17. Comes inside more than he should.
  18. I'm not saying that doesn't happen, of course it does - player power is ridiculous these days. I'm just saying that in contract it's down to the club to decide on whether they can leave or not. With 3 years left, the club could just say "Hi Kyle, thanks for your transfer request. It's denied. Better get back to training eh?" Which if this issue has come up i'm hoping is what they'd say unless it's a ridiculous offer that the club can't turn down.
  19. It isn’t. If it works for both parties that’s fine. Why do you think it’s up to the player?
  20. The point I’m making is it’s not the players decision. Plus the figures were somewhat different…
  21. Or we just tell him/them no. After all, it’s not his decision with 3 years left on his contract.
  22. Must admit, I’ve always parked in or around Bedford Place on the road….never had a ticket although possibly by luck. Certainly Sundays and evenings it’s not a problem anyway.
  23. What a fcuking goal.
  24. The BBC (well, Ian Wright) were on about the lack of opportunity for girls to play football.....girls at my daughter's school (and other friends from all over Hampshire, so it's not isolated) have loads of options to play in after school clubs etc. Some is mixed, some is same sex.....it's becomingly really popular among young girls, but clearly it'll take a long time to get anywhere near the men's game. Certainly no barriers to playing that i can see, admittedly this is a Hampshire school perspective. I enjoyed the game last night (and i've been a bit sniffy about it i hate to admit) and the girls certainly look like they've been well drilled. As it were.
