There's only one saints game of any note this weekend and that's tomorrow. Sunday would only be worth it if travelling up in a minibus, beers on the way, decent lunch, more beers, take in some live sport from 3pm somewhere in Leicester, more beers, curry, playbus home.

A lack of quality and effort (from many) combined gives you tonight. Utter shambles. Why in earth we didn’t get at that lot and press from the off I don’t know….even for the first 20 minutes. It wasn’t their first team (although still a quality side obviously) but last home game, safe….just have a go. Season ended with a whimper, and we are lucky we had that run a few months ago. Essentially a good, easy training session for their 2nd string. That is worrying. Oh well, always next season.

I know it's the last game of the season and all that, and as an ST holder we all feel obliged to attend (for fear of being called plastic fans or whatever) but i'm really tempted to just not bother going. This could get very ugly, very quickly.....and i know "it's a funny old game" at times, but i don't think i've ever looked at a fixture and genuinely thought we had zero chance of winning and 99.9% chance of getting ripped 11 new ones. I know i'll end up going. After all, it's the hope that kills you etc etc.

Can we do a Newcastle style Covid postponement perhaps? Until 2027? I'm going to go purely because it's the last home game of the season, but this really could get very ugly both in scoreline and atmosphere.
