I watched the match on tv , both sides did a bit of the passing in own pen area but didn’t then give it away . Near the end Brentford were dominant , their quick and incisive forwards did the business . To be fair Newcastle could have scored more as Brentford’s defence wasn’t watertight ! Liveramento wasn’t too impressive and fell over to give them a third goal .

In USA watching Brentford v Newcastle, Brentford playing similar to Saints at the back but more accurately so less nerve-wracking! Still leeked 2 goals though and Isak had ball flicked off his toe in front of goal by diving keeper !

Watching Motd this morning I think it was the first time this season that Saints have looked good for a good part of what was shown . Salah's goal was so well taken unfortunately! On another day we could of had another penalty as well. Dibling looked brilliant but those defensive cock ups , I know Barca have the players who can receive the ball when being close marked and lay it off but we don't have that quality.

Perhaps Pep thought ending speculation about his future will help the team . The problem is obviously injuries to too many key players plus several players past their peak , Walker being out paced by Werner for the fourth goal ! It could be all the FFP investigations etc have dented City's ability to buy replacements in the conveyer belt style of previous seasons 😄.
