Of course they WERE good enough, one is the captain of the England U21's while another is the regular at left back. IMHO they are not being coached as good as the old management team we had. The way some of the young Spurs players are progressing was like many of ours a couple of years back.

That Harrison Reed could of been the new Ali for us just like that guy is for Spurs and England. A couple of years ago he was showing great promise for the first eleven.

Watching young English talent coming through in the current team. That Pottychino at Spurs has moved Ali, Mason and other careers forward while JWP, Harrison and Taggarts has stalled. I remember how proud we were a couple of seasons ago on how our youngsters would either be playing regularly or sitting on the bench and getting games. Indeed central position, seems to have the freedom to do what he wants and IMHO it suits him. I guess him coming off is due to the lack of games and the fact he runs himself into the ground.

Currently watching the England u21's in Bosnia and Ward-Prowse is by far the best player on the pitch. If he keeps progressing then I see a full cap soon. We also have Taggart playing and Jack Stephens who has just been red carded for two fouls in 3 minutes.

Not a chance. For starters Streck won't be good enough for them while Forster will not leave here for a few years. Jack Butland is going to be the one most top teams will chase.

Football is a funny game as you never know what Saints team is going to turn up on the day. If Pelle does not get suspended and Mane starts to hit top form then I can't see us losing any of the 6 games coming up. Something about us these days as we are grinding the results. Remember bumping into Surman when we won the Johnson's trophy at Wembley. He was certainly a Saints fan that day and said he never wanted to leave the club but he had no choice.

Has Forster saved one yet for us? You would think at 6 ft 5 and ugly as a bat he would certainly put anyone off.

Got talking to someone about the best penalty saver at our club and it seems to him that Kelvin Davis has the best record. Anyone else agree or have I missed someone who could normally stop them hitting our own net.

We have not clicked as a team yet so I'm hoping we can improve on last year. My fears are come January Mane and Wanyama will do another paddy which will upset the morale of the club.
