You make some fair points Alpy but let's leave it to AP to sort out, that's what he is paid for and quite frankly he knows his head is on the line here and you can be sure he is busting his arse trying to bring in the right players and not just any players for the sake of trying to keep fans happy. He plan is to win this league and to continue straight through the Championship without having to buy too many other players. He is doing that with Richardson and Dickson + who he brings in next?

I thought the ex Luton player was only 27, its amazing how quick people age. He has always been a player I wanted to play for Saints after he bullied us playing for Derby. As for Connolly, yes you got me on that one as I had heard of him but I often got him confused with the Irish striker that broke the goal scoring record a few years back, name escapes me at the moment as i'm too tired.

It makes me laugh as I read the Down at the Mac forum everyday. They all predict us to win the league easily while we have them down for winning the league. I reckon a couple of high profile signings for us will tip it all in our favor from every team in this league.

I'm surprised at the moment because I have seen some teams around us snap up plenty of good players. Huddersfield & Weds have done very well. I'm still hoping for Stock & a target man (to sit on the bench no doubt, that's why we are struggling to get one IMHO as they want first team footy) Also I believe AP will bring in another defender with a midfield leader that will have us jumping for joy. Problem is I want this team to hit the Plymouth game running and not a situation where AP will be wondering what is his strong team.

Beattie is NOT coming back, he has a choice to join a london club or one closer to his Blackburn home area. I read an article by Klinsman who decided to change the Germany setup. He got the under 21's playing a system to the first team and he wanted the team to be given a chance nice and early. They won a tournament a dew years back and as we all know they had 6 very good you g players playing against England. They will get better and better and I only believe Saints will be a great force come 5 years time with the likes of our wonder kid Sinclair leading the way for club and country.
