Seriously what a load of crap regarding a second bid etc. Do you think Villa are going to tell the press that they are going in with a second bid. This is either a ploy to satisfy the Villa fans or its agents spouting out shit to unsettle a player.

We know Ings is off at the end of next season so maybe they need to bed a player in. Adams took a good year to step up and perhaps Armstrong needs that. (If we buy him) Obafemi has had so many chances and IMHO he’s not someone who is going to replace Ings in the long term.

Bianca had the option of moving backwards with 3 seconds to go. She would of got a 9th gamjung and would not of been disqualified. Indeed it was stupid tactics to go into a clinche when all she had to do was avoid any kind of contact. Lauren, Bradley and Bianca all failed at the end which imho was poor ring management all round. It happened 4 years ago with Lutalo who was 3 seconds away from gold. True story I’m actually applying for the role as a GB coach.

Done some digging as I know someone with close links to JWP. Its all agent talk and James is not looking to leave for Villa. He will never rule out a move for a champions league club if Saints accepted a bid but 100% he won’t ask for a move as he’s happy. He certainly was looking at leaving during the Mark Hughes days as he never fitted in his plans which frustrated him.

Although this is a great signing for us I feel that going into the season with Bednarek and Salisu as our main two centre backs is a big risk. Maybe we will get a 3rd demanding centreback who will play In a back 3 with 2 very attacking wingbacks?

There is a goalkeeper merry go happening between a few clubs. Are we waiting for certain deals to happen before we make the decision to offload Fraser if our wanted target agrees to sign? Think the same thing is happening with Williams too. I expect if Utd get the two full backs they are after at a good price they may partly fund the deal for us.

100% Kane is leaving Spurs. Always thought Ings would end up at Spurs and if we get good money for him then brilliant. It would be good to get a fit striker in for the price plus another midfielder.

Armstrong is so Rickie Lambert and even wears the number 7. I remember when Che signed as I was watching his video of the goals for Birmingham. Many were daisy cutters in the bottom corner which concern me that he wouldn’t hit the ground running. Armstrong looks like he could certainly start faster.

The best option here is to offer Rovers a player too to bring the price down. The toons get 40% on any money made on this.

Totally agree with this. I would also hope to get a stronger and faster centre back replacement as Bednarek and Stephens will not be suitable to cover the attacking wing backs.

I would question why a 4 year deal? Ings has got two good years left in him and even that will have a few injury periods. Time to cash in and get Armstrong, wouldn’t surprise me if this has already been wrapped up to get him at a cheaper price before the Ings news came out. Use the extra money and wages to get an experienced midfielder like Delaney who would captain the side. Regarding JWP he ain’t going anywhere unless we get a pathetic 50m offer but it wouldn’t surprise me if James is told to knuckle down and we will allow you to leave next year like we did with Hojberg.

He’s an upgrade on Bertrand so I say that one improvement. Whos next?

Just think what Armstrong would be worth in 2 years time if he hits the ground running? Get him for 15m with add ons would be an amazing deal for both clubs.

I know 3 seasons ago he wanted a move as he was not getting a regular game. The situation is different now and I reckon it’s going to be a couple of things. (1) We will let you go at the end of next season like we did with Hojberg. Give us time for a replacement. (2) We can’t turn down that price and you can have talks if you want too as I know you are not happy with us struggling in the league.

In years to come Southgate will be saying I should of chosen JWP instead of Henderson as I knew he was not fit but I let him convince me he was.

Would prefer one of the best teams like Manchester City as they have the entire squad away on international duties and they would only have 3 weeks of pre season training. Adams scores you goals for sure. Sticking him on the bench after being one of the better players will fuck up his confidence. Saints did it to him and it looks like Scotland are doing the same.

I would of thought that having players in the team would raise the profile and the price. If Vestergaard or Bednarek had a good tournament we could of got an extra 15m on the price.
