Watching the Celtic game - O'Riley is putting in some very decent corners and does seem to have a very good left foot.
-
I just refuse to believe neither Dibling or SAA would've contributed less than Mara or Sulemana for example. SAA actually had a very good impact off the bench in his first few games.
-
BBD wide left, AA on the right and a new CF through the middle, surely?
-
He's on the bench

More of the same old I'm afraid. No end product from Edozie. Stephens is really unfit and can't pass for toffee. Armstrong is not a number 9. Taylor looks solid albeit slow and adds nothing going forward. Long season ahead. Only positive so far is Sugawara who looks class.
-
I don't think he'll be sacked this season regardless. He's just signed a new contract and they clearly want some stability on the managerial front.
-
I would rather see a 4-3-3 in general so do agree to an extent - but to be honest with our current lack of quality I think whichever shape we play we will probably get beaten - it just depends on how many we lose by. That's quite negative I know.
-
Pretty sure Armstrong missed hell of a lot more big chances than Che did last season. I'm not defending some of his finishing but you're underplaying his contribution massively. I don't know the stats on minutes to goals but I'd hazard a guess that Che had a more than decent return. Sounds like an agenda to me.

Agree. If we go up to Newcastle with our current squad and play 4 at the back I fear we will get torn apart. Feel like we just have to try and be hard to score against, as we know we don't have anything up top.
-
It's a bit scary to think the season is just over two weeks away. You're probably right, if we don't sign anyone else this week then by the time they've got up to speed/integrated into the group, you wouldn't expect them to play the opening game. I'd imagine Newcastle fans will be extremely confident going into that game.
-
It does sound a little silly but I do hope there's more interest in him. Maybe other options will arise towards the end of the window? I feel in this day and age the money for him is more important than keeping him for another season when it looks like we've signed a very decent replacement.

It looks like Jack Rosser seems to have a fair bit of info on us this summer (I know he is a saints fan)
-
Who was the "ITK" connected to Lallana back in the day? Maybe he's returned too...
-
Sulemena and Mara could do with watching those penalties. That's how you do it.
-
They don't have the right attitude for starters. Neither look like they want to put in the hard graft - almost as if they believe they are good enough already. Dibling and SAA are younger but both have totally different body language when on the pitch.
-
Nah TP isn't a great footballer by any means but at least his goal scoring record is very good (outside of this country). Absolutely no way Mara would score as many goals as TP has even if he spends his career in Belgium
-
You could easily be talking about Sulemena as well. Both absolute wasters.
-
I think pre season so far has just re-enforced what most of us already know. We badly need a striker and a goalkeeper. CM looks relatively strong although we still need another and our CB's have been impressive so far.
-
People that say that we should be loaning out Dibling and SAA. Not a chance - they are both better than Sulemena and have shown more end product so far than Edozie when given the chance.
-
Seems like Lemina has really knuckled down there. Always had the talent to be fair.
-
Of course he would rather go to Atalanta. Our only hope is if they don't cough up enough money.
-
He's probably referring to the away game where he struggled a bit but the whole side was really poor that day until we made some subs towards the end. As you say, he was very very impressive in the reverse fixture.
-
Isn't that what McCarthy was on previously? Makes it seem even more worth it...
-
It's only the Sun but *if* it's true then that's dreadful. We know what price Celtic want and I'm all for negotiation but it's rather insulting to go in that low.

4 yellow cards in a friendly is good going. There would've been 7 or 8 in a league game apparently. Let's keep our sick notes away from this one.
