But I don't see them covering the 180K a week from Remy and Samba let alone the others wages!
-
If these figures are even close to the real ones then that is totaly mad he's not even that good!

How the judge thinks granting an extension to the admin is a good idea I don't know, the Pompey circus is totally out of control and has moved from making a mockery of football to making a mockery of the British court system.

They are scum and sadly the system lets these mouth breathing morons take this lifestyle choice. Job Seekers allowance LOL

Transfer Deadline Day Who's in Who's out?
a1ex2001 replied to Horton Heath Saint's topic in The Saints
I think it will be a poor window for us if we don't get someone with a bit of pace and flair in to add competition out wide, however it looks like a poor windows for movements in general there have been very few decent players changing hands even old saggy chops hasn't managed to get many dodgy deals done. Still quietly hopeful that we will get a last minute surprise but then maybe we already had our surprise with Adkins getting the boot! -
Didn't say he wasn't was just saying that he'd be more than happy to sit on our bench but isn't up to premier league standards much like Fox in fact. Now Olsson I wouldn't expect to come here and sit on the bench behind a 17 year old and therin lies the problem rplacing fox with a player who is good enough to play in the premier league is very difficult when they know that Shaw is first choice so they will be waiting for him to break/be sold/loose form.
-
He's been happy to sit on the bench most seasons since he left us and I have no reason to believe our bench is any less comfortable especially now we have them flash new chairs. the reason he is playing in the Championship is simply that his last few loans in the prem have shown him to no longer be upto the job
-
Or he could just do the sensible thing, make his point then ignore all the name calling an revisionism and move onto the next thread rather than enaging in the debate at all that way it could all fizzle out and not drag on for pages and pages of tedium over a throw away comment that means nothing. I can't believe in this day and age grown men are having the my club is bigger than your club debate!
-
Would leave us with a massive lack of cover should shaw get injured or have a dip in form, all we'd have to cover is an untired centre half and a youth team player.
-
Good hard working professional who made up for his lack of absolute class with commitment and enthusiasm, liked him when he played for us and was disapointed when he left.

Can you name the Top 31 Southampton Premier League Scorers?
a1ex2001 replied to Tom8558's topic in The Saints
Only 16 but that didn't bother me as much as forgetting Kevin Phillips after spending ages racking my brain for decent strikers who managed a couple of seasons for us in the prem! -
Thought he was a decent player for us very disapointed when he got greedy and left and have to admit enjoying watching his fall from grace after that.
-
Great player, we never saw the best of him but he had obvious class and his longevity at international level is testament to that. Would love to see him in his prime in our current team as I think our style and formation is much better suited he wouldn't be lost at left wing for starters!

1 out of 10 your trolling skills are as poor as your use of the English language.

Are people beginning to see what Cortese is up to?
a1ex2001 replied to ByTheGolacs's topic in The Saints
I've never disagreed with the logic, if he thinks he is doing the right thing to move the club forward then thats fine but he doesn't need to go about his business like an arrogant tosser! If he had just treated Nigel with a little respect I wouldn't be quite so bitter about it but sacking such a decent bloke and great servant of the club via sky sports news and then failing to publicly thank him (properly) for his contributions was indecent. -
Ridiculous comment Telfer was a decent professional who did a good job for us particularly when him and Williams arrived just after Strachan and really settled the rocking ship. I was pretty shocked by the fee at the time given our record was 4 million odd for Delap (very odd decision!) to spend what was a significant chunk of our money on this never had been seemed madness when surely we could have found someone better! I think the Cortese transfer commitee and some good scouting should prevent future stupidity like this, if the manager asks the committee for a decent winger you'd like to think after scouring the globe they'd come back with a better option! So far the committee seems to be working allthough the jury is very much out on J-Rod and Mayuka!
-
Would be potentially the ultimate f-you to Cortese if he kept Villa up and we went down, got to say gutted though I'd be if this happens I'd still feel a warm glow knowing that Adkins had the last laugh!
-
Worst of these threads so far! Anyone who says he was anything other than garbage is either his mum or blind and stupid.
-
Like alot of the players we signed at that time he had his moments, thought he was decent but not worth the massive wages we were probably paying him much like alot of the players we signed at that time!

One Nigel Adkins chart for 1 min at Ko
a1ex2001 replied to DrZuess1979 the 2nd's topic in The Saints
Hope we loose and this is a start of the spiral to relegation it's the only type of lesson that Cortese will listen too! -
Totally agree, been looking forward to this deal being completed all week as to my mind he looks exactly the type of player we should be signing but after todays revelations I really couldn't give a fook.
-
Now that would at least put a smile on my face!
-
and we all know what caused that sorry saga and where it ended. Maybe MR Pochettino is very cheap and him and our new director of football Diego Simeone are taking less in wages combined than Adkins?
-
He is the public face and mouthpiece of the club and I hope to watch him shamble away from our club at the end of the season never to be seen again I'd taking Cortese with him but we couldn't be so lucky.
