Nigel has lead the team to promotion and then the top of the league above, we are having a blip live with it. Nobody expected us to be in anything like this position this season and compared to where we were three short years ago I can't believe how far we've come. Win loose or draw, this is the best saints side we've seen since relegation. Automatic, Play offs or no promotion we will still have had an amazing season. Quit the moaning and get behind the Saints, a few bad results doesn't define our season just like the amazing run before them didn't lets see where we are come may.

Does rather doesn't it, I don't seem to remember Delgado and Chala taking this long to arrive from Ecuador in fact I seem to remember a very cold looking Chala warming up at Bolton in the Carling cup within days of signing. More recently the much hearlded Sarmiento managed to arrive from Argentina in double quick time as did the equally effective Marcel Tejera from Uraguay. Was really optomistic about this signing but I've now got the alarm bells ringing and I'm normally reall positive about anything saints related.

Looking at the you tube video Hooper is just like Lineker the master of the two yard tap in, doubt he's quite upto that level so maybe more like a better version of Raziac, right place at the right time etc

I think it's pretty much make or break time for Ryan, he desperately needs to go on loan somewhere and be a massive success much like Lallana and Surman were at Bournemouth. He seemed to have some real momentum behind him a year or so ago but successive disapoint loan spells have left him looking like an also ran which is a real shame as I had high hopes for him. He could still turn it around but time is fast running out.

Exactly and there is still no guarentee he will make it so saying he should stay here for his development is madness, a footballer has a very short career and an unproven teenager can go from being the next best thing to non league very quickly (ask Jamie White once linked with Bareclona/Real and now nowhere) if Arsenal offer big money he will go it's part of life but if that money keeps the club financially stable and allows us to bring in a few more players then all is good. Don't get me wrong I'd love to keep our best prospects but it just doesn't work like that as has been pointed out even Arsenal and Man Utd sell players they would rather keep. What I hope is that the further we go on this journey the longer the youngsters will stay and while we will still loose the absolute cream of the crop eventually hopefully the second tier accademy products like Lalanna and Chris Baird will stay for good.

I serously don't think he's going anywhere, for me he's just using all this speculation to a get a nice big wage rise at Donny so he can stay where he is comfortable and happy and if that is the case full respect to the lad for knowing what he wants and going after it aggressively. I'm not sure I'd want us to sign any player that spends this long 'making his mind up' he clearly isn't that keen on Leicester or he would have gone as the offer on the table must be good. Personally I want us to be signing players who are keen to come here not saying only those that accept our first offer I prefer a bit more backbone but not those that fanny about for a week or two.

add the striker Akinori Nishizawa to that list he played against us for Bolton in the worthless cup years ago at the reebok, we lost on penalties. He was an absolute legend on Champ manager but never made a league appearence for bolton and disapeared after that

Was disapointed to see Holmes left on the bench on the weekend when we were clearly crying out for some width after the sending off. The other two are competing for spots with our better players and have been unable to dislodge them can't say I've been disapointed with either right or left back this season so Butters and Dickson can have few complaints. If only we had a surplus of strikers and centre backs too!

I don't seem to remember this I certainly don't remember him being any more of a liability than Guly is on occasion. I'd give him a start against Coventry and have a quiet word with him before hand along the lines of 'make it impossble for me not to put you in the squad for the next match' see how much he wants it and if he does then he should at least be on the bench he is proven at this level unlike Jonno Quick and the kids.

If he plays I will just cross my fingers and hope that he's pt last weekend behind him and moved on. He had shown genuine ability as a keeper before and I'm sure he will again, people are saying we will definately loose if he plays which is rather amusing given that he is unlikely to make such a costly blunder again and even when he did we still didn't loose to a side that are easily as good as pompey.

If you'd told me he'd still be here all this time after the 'incident' at Sheffield Wednesday a few years back I'd have called you a liar, he's a decent keeper but nowhere near as good as some on here make out and his 'professional' attitude clearly wasn't on show that day at Hilsborough when he was terrible and got the hump when the paying support pointed it out to him.
