Given our terrible record of star players being 'out for 6 weeks for an op' never reappearing I shall not be holding my breath.
-
I would wait with trepedation for the next publicity train wreck comming out of the club to destroy the elation.

Last season I thought we had seen the end of the days when our club was dragged through the mud in the gutter press and everyone in the land knew more about our chairman than our first team. Sadly it looks like a return to the dark days when the only stories in the press were negative and our Chairman in becoming more well known than our star players, it is at time like this I wonder if I made the right decision when I picked the saints all those years ago. I hope I haven't lost the faith before our club is finally dragged kicking and screaming from the mire, all I want is to support a football team.

What a ridiculous comment, why would they be playing him in all the friendlies if they didn't want to keep him? I'm pretty sure he will sign a one year contract sooner or later. Gutted to see a centre half in Pahars number but I guess time moves on!

Our away following has steadily deteriorated since we were relegated from the prem, too many chavs and wanna be hard men. That combined with last seasons spate of the same idiotic child running on the pitch every week are bound to effect our rep!

Carter, who played last night per chance?

The Official Summer Transfers and HCDAJFU Thread

Shocked he has dropped that far but then he is getting on abit, he was nothing like as bad as some people seem to make out and was yet another in the long line of fans scapegoats on this forum. -
Remember that well, it was in the 'when will Skacel sign phase' and Burley put out a young polish left winger on trial who bashed a shot into the cross bar if memory serves and that was the last we heard of him. That was a really interesting summer with signings flying in from left right and centre.
-
Not quite how I remember it, I remember the stabalisation year being a flirtation with further relegation and the promotion year being a bit of a squeak in via the play offs, hardly we will walk this league form?
-
Having watched Wednesday quite alot over the last few years he would be worth that just for his first touch!
-
Not sure Pullis will be able to cope with the shock of seeing some grown ups in the changing room!
-
I didn't think it was possible but I now have even less respect for you and your opinions as nobody takes a fatty seriously!
-
I really don't understand why we can't just use the game against Reading to contest the trophy, it is the sentiment and the honouring of his memory tha matter not the quality of the oposition. Yes I'd prefer to play Barca for it but hell at least we have a chance of winning it against Reading!

If she was serious about her career she wouldn't have done this period, stupid mistake that could well cost her her current job ad her future one.
-
I thought that title was reserved for Rasiak or do the ungreatfull saints fans on here just pass it from one top scorer to the next as they unfathomably fall out of favour? On a slightly related note I see Clinton Morrison has gone to wednesday now tha is an interesting signing!
-
Where is my favourite saints player A. Trialist? Massive put down to Pullis sending him out to play with what is essentially a youth team
-
Lets hope it's only their youth model and not their financial model that we are using!
-
I for one was glad to see Dodd there, it's a nice link to the clubs history and will hopefully help to dispell all the rubish going round about our Chairman wanting rid of all links to the past.

Allways fely a bit sorry for Simon, he was ignored by a succession of managers after we got relegated, final got his chance under the Dutch duo and looked to have taken it with both hands and then suddenly found himself at the back of the que again when Pardew arrived. I'll admit his form on rare appearences for us was patchy last season but he can hardly have been high on confidence when he'd gone from being a vital cog in the team to being behind Wotton for a central midfield slot. I think his size, or lack there of has always counted against him as he doesn't look like the combative ball winning midfielder he is. Best of luck to him at Doncaster I think he'll have a good career at Championship level.

All of whom could do a more than adequate job for us at this level. -
Please please please don't start this again!

Personally I'd like to see players stick with numbers while they are with us and not chop and change, I like to associate a player with a number like Pahars wearing 17 would have annoyed me if he changed it just because something else became available.

Former Saints who could/should manage England fred...
a1ex2001 replied to SaintRobbie's topic in The Saints
If it becomes available Redcrap will get it, I was nearly sick watching him position himself for the job after the match yesterday. Personally I'd give it to Beckam, he looks the part and ther performances of Klinsmann, Maradonna and Mark Hughes prove it's a dooable proposition. -
Andrew Surman Has Been Told He Can Leave.
a1ex2001 replied to View From The Top's topic in The Saints
Surman is a good player and it would have been nice to see him back in the red and white, sadly it wasn't to be. It's not the end of the world, it's not like we've missed out on signing Messi or Kaka there are plenty of other player out there of Surmans standard many of whom I'm sure will be interesting our managment.
