  1. and Bart.
  2. Southampton 28 Bialkowski 02 Harding 05 Perry 12 Trotman 23 James 14 Hammond 19 Schneiderlin 35 Mellis 07 Lambert 09 Papa Waigo 20 Lallana Substitutes 13 Forecast, 03 Thomas, 10 Wotton, 11 Holmes, 37 Antonio
  3. Only players I'd consider resting are connolly and lallana, conolloy could use all the time he can get after such a long lay off and Lallana is only young still and can't be expected to perform every game for a season.
  4. my thoughts entirely 12th is the next target ie the top half, play offs after that!
  5. Southampton line up 28 Bialkowski 02 Harding 05 Perry 06 Jaidi 16 Murty 23 James 14 Hammond 19 Schneiderlin 07 Lambert 09 Papa Waigo 20 Lallana Substitutes 13 Forecast, 03 Thomas, 12 Trotman, 18 Mills, 10 Wotton, 35 Mellis, 37 Antonio
  6. Let me re-iterate to be clear. We are not a 'BIG' club and never have been. We are a 'MASSIVE club in League one terms' our finances, facilities and fan base make us so. We are a big scalp at this level and I'm sure Rotherham or Luton would take more pleasure indrawing and beating us than some Championship nobody clubs like doncaster or Peterborough.
  7. That statement works right up to the point you use it to say it would be a bigger game for us if we drew Hull as opposed to Newcastle. Certain teams maintain a lustre no matter what division they are in and having a big financial backing adds to this, to alot of clubs at this level and velow we are still a massive scalp look at the way Brighton have released a DVD of there victory the other day. We are not a 'Big' club perse and never really have been but we are certainly a big club at this level.
  8. I'm not going to rule it out until it's mathematically impossible, same with relegation!
  9. Personally I couldn't see Kelvin lasting another transfer window after his gesture to the crowd at Sheffield Wednesday a couple of seasons back let alone being made club captain, player of the season and having everyone on here blowing him kisses rather than slating him. Stranger things have happened than a young inexperienced goalkeeper finding his confidence and fullfilling his potential, see the above.
  10. I hope he doesn't go but if he does I wish him well and hope we spend thelarge sum of money wisely unlike in previous times.
  11. Good news would much rather have poke on the bench than forecast at least he has played some competetive football and if memory served looked pretty decent in the firt team a couple of seasons ago until he played that game with a ridiculous injury.
  12. What he's trying to say is it would be good if Bart comes in and does so well that we don't ever need to put Kelvin back in. Now this seems unlikely but Bart certainly has the potential to make it happen.
  13. If he does he has very very rarely displayed it in a siants shirt, personally I think distribution is on a par with comming for crosses on his list of weaknesses. He hardly ever plays it short and his kicking is poor at best.
  14. the gap to saftey is on the increase again, 4 points now and other teams are pulling away quite quickly we are looking at a lot longer fighting relegation than i hoped a week ago.
  15. As a left winger Rudi was outstanding as shown by his great form in the play off season, he was then a victim of the failure to replace Gareth Bale and landed up playing left back where he was still reasonably effective without ever being brilliant. Last season I thought he did well for us in very difficult circumstances given that he was again played out of position and treated with utter contempt by the managment at the club who clearly wanted him out of the team and off the wage bill. I'd have him back in a heart beat if he wanted to play here as he is definately a class above this league. He is one of a number of players from this period who for some reason will always been talked down, Raziac gets slated yet the period of time when he played week in week out he was brilliant for us and his goal scoring record outstanding. Craine and best both get slatted on here yet both did well when given the oppertunity and did the right thing getting out before the club exploded. I wish people could see some of these players for what they are and that is not the best footballers ever but in terms of performances for saints more than good enough. Shame about Pele I was disapointed when he left and wouldn't mind seeing him back even now.
  16. Why on earth should someone get cheaper beer because they are disabled, ridiculous! Just be happy that you got all the good parking spots and don't get tickets for parking on yellow lines and then go away.
  17. Hes on the list of players I'd always welcome back into a saints shirt, always gave his all for the team. I don't think it will happen anytime soon as he has gone in a different direction to us and our midfield looks strong and settled. I think he'd be one that got a good reception from the crowd were he ever to return in a wolves shirt.
  18. Strange how I seem to remember him scoring shed loads for about a season and a half before Burley inexplicably dropped him?!? Not saying I'd have him back but some fans have pretty short memories!
  19. any sort of victroy and moving off the bottom of the table would be a brilliant result two clubs bettween us and the foot of the table and a great performance would be a massive bonus!
  20. Lambert Premier League? Now I realise he's a good player for this level but lets be honest he is nowhere near premiership class. Jaidi was but his legs are not up to the prem and the jusry is out on KD at that level his only season being an absolute shocker, and dare I say it his standards are once again below the very high levels he set last year? We have a good possibly great team for this level but lets not get excited and make them into something they are not and certainly let there be no talk of walking anything!
  21. Yes at any club except Southampton were you must be the finished article playing to full international standard before the end of your teens, other clubs appreciate that not everyone is a Theo Walcott or a Gareth Bale! Plenty of big name professionals haven't made a huge impact until there early to mid twenties and some even later in life.
  22. That his the nail on the head really, I like many others really like the lad and think last season he was one of the few plus points and his attitude is always a credit to him but sadly he doesn't fit into the current formation and style that we have adopted the only positions he can play are occupied by better players (Hammond) or players in form (Wotton).
  23. Except Gillett is proven at championship level and smith was a gash player who had already failed at that level? Real shame for Simon he waited so long for a chance at saints and I thought he grabbed it with both hands last year, then another change of manager seems to have de-railed him yet again. Good luck to him hope he has a great time at Donny and shows his best form once again.
  24. 39 posts and nobpdy has put up his football Manager stats we must be slacking.
  25. Is this Pardew once again saying he wants rid of Gillett because he's rather play Paul Wotton? Got to say I don't really rate him as a judge of talent if it is.
