Everytime one of our sigings is surrounded by hype they turn out to be a disapointment you only have to look at Rudi, Anders Svensson and Delgado for more evidence. Hope this guy proves us wrong but I won't be clicking buy on my Shirt with number 9 and Waigo on it just yet.

No mention of a work permit on the OS so I assume he has an Italian passport and we won't have to bother about such things, he has lived there 10 years so it seems likely. Potentially a quality signing and should definately offer the pace we've all been craving.
-
He looked brilliant for us in pre-season and I had high hopes only to be disapointed by his amazing pie eating ability. Still think he would do a decent job at this level if motivated and kept away from the lard.

Given the huge success of South American players in the red and white stripes of saints I say no no and thrice no.
-
He's not Jordan he runs a couple of businesses why would his face be plastered all over the net he's not particularly famous? I'd be quite happy if that is the only picture we ever see of him and he just quietly gets on with running the club, publicity seaking attention whores have had a slightly detrimental effect on our club before.

looks like he'll be playing against Bournmouth http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10280~1719443,00.html how about a little support for him?

Kelvin Davis, 9th July 2009. Faith Restored and History?
a1ex2001 replied to SaintRobbie's topic in The Saints
Never thought I'd see the day we were celebrating Kelvin signing a new contract after the game at Sheffield Wednesday the season before last. A remarkable turnaround and while i'm sure he's still earning plenty more than most of us I have to respect him for turning down big bucks to sit on the bench in favour of first team football and keeping his family settled. -
Adam, just in case you do read this site ignore all the idiots slagging you off and please stay!
-
Kelvin? unusual but I like it!
-
Thats a statement of intent as I'm betting he didn't come cheap, would love to see Stern put pen to paper in the next day or two and really want to see young fish signed up.
-
It will still be flybe and umbro this season as the Football club has contracts with both companies.

I'm not going to believe that unless someone official actually comes out and says it, there is absolutely no reason that the buyer couldn't just take over the mortgage payments on the ground and carry on as before. If they have paid the reported 12-15 million then Norwich Union have taken a massive loss on the stadium which seems highly unlikely.

Jo Tessem on Trial next week (He's not really)(Actually he might be)
a1ex2001 replied to Bourno's topic in The Saints
Patric Colletter, didn't he get subbed in the first half when Newcastle tonked us and he was responsible for all the goals? Not sure about the return of Tessem allthough at least it gives us a link to the good times back with Svensson hanging his boots up. -
He is out of contract but is doing the decent thing and waiting to see if we get purchased, I think the terms are already agreed and it will go through as soon as our deal is done.
-
yet more ridiculous media speculation?
-
I honestly couldn't care who he is, if he is happy to spend his money and let someone he trust run the club then so be it. would be a much better option than the attention seeking scum we had before and some of the similat idiots that are sniffing about the place now.

When was the last time we sold out an away allocation north of Bristol? For a non play off/cup game.
-
I think we did enough of that last season and the one before.
-
because it's been consistent pretty much since we were relegated, we have been the king of draws for several seasons.

I was only 11 but I remember that like it was yesterday, I had argentina down to win 4-0 on the wall chart score predictor and the Cameroon players came out like it was UFC rather than the world cup finals. that wasn't the only incident in what I remember being one of the dirtiest games I've ever had the pleasure to watch.
-
Can't remember any of the player names but it was the first time Cameroon played in the world cup. They were up against Argentina and decided on an aggressive approach. some Argentine Winger was flying down the touch line and three cameroon players took it in turns to make horrific flying tackles on him, he dodged the first two but the last guy absolutely polaxed him and took an instant red.

Good I'm sick of the unfounded garbage and speculation they have been passing off as news I wish they would just stick to writing the facts.

£1m for DMG - Why do people think it's such a bad deal?
a1ex2001 replied to Arizona's topic in The Saints
Oh and for the guy that said he needed to score 28 goals in his first season to prove himself in the Championship pull th other one it's got bells on. That would make him pretty much the leagues top scorer and worthy of a shot at the prem, a good championship striker will get 15-20 goals a season (look at the goal charts) and I think DMG could easily achieve that in a better tem playing as a striker all season.
