  1. Patric Colletter, didn't he get subbed in the first half when Newcastle tonked us and he was responsible for all the goals? Not sure about the return of Tessem allthough at least it gives us a link to the good times back with Svensson hanging his boots up.
  2. He is out of contract but is doing the decent thing and waiting to see if we get purchased, I think the terms are already agreed and it will go through as soon as our deal is done.
  3. yet more ridiculous media speculation?
  4. I honestly couldn't care who he is, if he is happy to spend his money and let someone he trust run the club then so be it. would be a much better option than the attention seeking scum we had before and some of the similat idiots that are sniffing about the place now.
  5. When was the last time we sold out an away allocation north of Bristol? For a non play off/cup game.
  6. I think we did enough of that last season and the one before.
  7. because it's been consistent pretty much since we were relegated, we have been the king of draws for several seasons.
  8. I was only 11 but I remember that like it was yesterday, I had argentina down to win 4-0 on the wall chart score predictor and the Cameroon players came out like it was UFC rather than the world cup finals. that wasn't the only incident in what I remember being one of the dirtiest games I've ever had the pleasure to watch.
  9. Can't remember any of the player names but it was the first time Cameroon played in the world cup. They were up against Argentina and decided on an aggressive approach. some Argentine Winger was flying down the touch line and three cameroon players took it in turns to make horrific flying tackles on him, he dodged the first two but the last guy absolutely polaxed him and took an instant red.
  10. Good I'm sick of the unfounded garbage and speculation they have been passing off as news I wish they would just stick to writing the facts.
  11. Oh and for the guy that said he needed to score 28 goals in his first season to prove himself in the Championship pull th other one it's got bells on. That would make him pretty much the leagues top scorer and worthy of a shot at the prem, a good championship striker will get 15-20 goals a season (look at the goal charts) and I think DMG could easily achieve that in a better tem playing as a striker all season.
  12. I'd rather him be in our side next season than playing against us, so by that measure he stays. (Obviously he won't be going to a league 1 club but you can see my point)
  13. I believe the premier league has a lower points deduction and being the members only club it is I can't see them ever enforcing it against one of the big boys.
  14. Would certainly be interesting if Liverpool went into admin, not sure the premier league would be as keen to throw the book at them as the FA was with us.
  15. which sheffield there are two in the championship, I assume united?
  16. I think it's best for both parties he moved on, he's got potential but he's stagnated here and not really shown anything in a saints shirt for a long while. Disapointed we didn't get more but it keeps the wolves from the door until we can start selling season tickets.
  17. That is not true the only money classed as legal tender in England and Wales is that which is printed by the bank of England, that doesn't however mean scotish money should be rejected but it is up to the individual retailer to decide if the currency is acceptable. Ancient BBC news article too confirm this http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/scotland/north_east/7161728.stm nothing has changed since as far as I am aware. Really we should just remove the stupid law that allows these scotish banks to print money and have a single currency for the uk.
  18. Work behind the scenes un-noticed don't splash your names all over the media and most importantly of all don't listen to the fans they don't know what they want.
  19. Matt is taking the same role in this as Gary Linaker did in the leicester City take over ie nothing more than putting his name on the packaging. I fully expect him to have nothing todo with the day to day running of the club and the only involvment will be a continuation of his ambasador role. He doesn't have the skills for anything else and he knows it, this take over isn't a case of Matt comming chanrging in on a white horse with a suitcase full of money it is a clever group of individuals who have convinced him to be the public face knowing it will make the bid more acceptable to the fans than any other. Like everything else in football these days it is business pure and simple at the end of the day.
  20. I already have A N OTHER on the back of my shirt so why not the front as well, I'm all for it.
  21. more smoke and mirrors and more tired news agencys rehashing known stories to suit the headline, stop panicing people it will happen when it happens and pages of speculation will not speed it up.
  22. that causes the humour, everyone is sick or rummours and allegations and the complete lack of fact.
  23. I really really hope that when the news does come it doesn't arrive on a friday.
  24. is this the friday thread of poo then? I refuse to get sucked into believing anything that is written on here unless it is backed up with a credible linked source, every friday we have a thread full of no mark attention seekers spouting rubish and yet still people believe them?
  25. I think you'll find he's spent most of his career at this level with only brief and mainly unsuccesfull spells in the prem, still a quality player at this level and I wish him well.
