Take it out of the bank and leave it at home with your mum like all the children who can't manage there own money do. It's no disgrace even the mega rich Chris Moyles lets his mum look after his cash as he does not trust himself.

Because it makes no difference if they had been putting the money aside every month since March/April then they would have enough to cover the repayments and Christmas. It's not exactly rocket science, you could even open a special savings account and label it Season Ticket in your online banking system to make sure you don't forget why you have a few hundred pounds saved up. -
Thats what years of sloggin it out in the lower leagues will do to you, Rickie has worked massively hard to achieve what he has in the game and has never had anything just handed to him like some of the embaressments occupying the premier league and the papers these days. A real footballer and a real gent hope to see him fullfill his ambitions to play at a higher level by firing us back up the leagues.

Exciting young Saints players who have not made the grade

That was Jay 'the next Harry Kewell' Lucas saw him play for the kids in an FA youth cup game at Derby and didn't think he was up to much. -
no it would be a waste of time and money, would rather see a kid out of the youth setup given a chance. It's not like we have anything but pride left to play for.
-
those some poeple are an insignificantly small percentage of the population.
-
Not a chance. Rasiac is an odd one, he was a massive fans favourite at Derby despite his laid back style. Spurs never game him a chance and then when we finally got the 20 goal a season striker everyone said we needed everyone decided he needed to run around more. Never understood it then and never will. Similar thing with Stern alot of people on here will slate him despite him saving us from the drop!

Make the play offs this season or league 1 champions next season.

Winning the play offs is better than winning the league you get three more really exciting games and a trip to Wemberly! Much more exciting than just amasing more points than everyone else. -
Certain to be relegated and almost certain to start next season on -15 as the tax man won't agree to the CVA most of the players are going to have to go so hopefully at the end of next season we will pass them as they fall into league 1. Couldn't happen to a nicer bunch, fingers crossed they won't go out of existence.

Am I the only one who thinks it's looking increasingly like the revenue are going to send pompey under as a way of delivering a message to all the other clubs that owe them money? you can bet they would see the cash from every other club in the country pretty quick if they sent a premiership club to the wall!
-
Not online you don't, it's a fixed 12 quid!
-
The fans of all the clubs with sugar daddies have always lived in denial, the true state of affairs never reveals itself until they pull the plug.
-
a nice gesture lets just hope they get the design right so we can recoup some of the losses with massive sales. Much as I like having a sugar daddy I don't like the idea that were he to withdraw his backing we'd be in a financial mess deeper than absolutely necessary.
-
Can I have some of what your taking? Do you seriously believe that are attendences are supplying enough money to pay the biggest squad in League 1 history that is littered with players who could be playing at a higher level but moved here for the money? Marcus will be subsidising the team quite significantly and were he to withdraw his financial backing tomorrow a firesale would be the order of the day, lets not delude ourselves!

I've supported the saints longer than you've been alive I may not go very often but thats because I'm fully aware that there are more important things in life. -
I was a wee bit young to appreciate Shilts, I do like looking back at our list of past keepers as it contains some absolute quality. Niemi came in at a time when I thought Jones for all his detractors was doing a pretty decent job and would be hard to displace, Niemi managed to make him look incredibly below par and must represent one of the best value for money signings of that era.
-
Niemi is a saints legend and always will be apart from during the 90 minutes of this tie assuming he plays. I'd expect him to recieve a warm welcome and and even warmer departure if we win. During the game I expect him to get some stick nothing like as much as James would have got but he will take some especially if there is a penalty situation. Best goal keeper I've ever seen in a saints shirt so good I can even over look his signing for pompey!
-
It's frightening to think that we have 41 players on the books with a first team number, that must be the biggest squad outside the premiership!
-
He's young, he's still learning the game and we are asking an awful lot of him. Not only do we expect him to play every game of the season out of position but we expect him to be our major creative force and score more than his fair share of goals. Give him time he has shown obvious class but needs to develop and in all honestly looks desperately in need of a rest at the minute.
-
Lets just get to the final first and then worry about who we are playing! The way some people rounf here are talking you'd think MK don's were going to be a walk over!
-
I think you need to amend it to 'Next Season we will scrape into the play offs before loosing in the second leg of the semi' to me next season is more of a worry than this as I'd more or less accepted that this season was for building I am however yet to be convinced we have a plan and that the manager isn't just randomly aquiring more and more players.
-
I still say we should play a more attaching setup as we clearly can't defend for toffee so we need to be banging in even more at the other end!
-
Pretty shocking state of affairs, I shant be joining those wishing for the death of of our local rivals though. I wouldn't wish what we went through in the summer on the fans of any club and certainly wouldn't want our biggest rivals to disapear for good imagine that the prospect of a big local derby isn't there to keep us interested in the cup draw? I will of course enjoy the usual banter when they get relegated and thrashed a few times on the way down but that is a totally different kettle of fish.
-
We desperately need another centre forward who carries a goal threat, to either come off the bench or fill in for Conolly when he's tired.
