Serious available candidates for the impending managerial vacancy!

Left side choice, Dean Smith, he has made Brentford a pretty good footballing team. Hell of a risk and not a big name to please the fans -

what have they won though, except a massive wage. Strangely enough they could have won a trophy here if they had stayed, but of course its not really about trophies, just money -
well he;s gone now and you must leave games elated. The football must be so much better
-
Apparently that Austin was told that he was not in MP's plans as he was not his type of player, and so should look elsewhere. That may have changed with his goals now

Perhaps Man City's interest pushed Liverpools hand to pay over the top to guarantee the deal -

Perhaps now we may get a couple of players to stop relegation. I don't believe that he is the major reason of our fall -

I agree, VVD has not shown that he is anywhere near the player he was -

#YNWA at present I wouldn't mind if it was Youll never walk again, but its only football and have to live with it. I console myself that every goal that Liverpool let in now, will be dissected to see if it is VVD's fault. He will be right in the microscope -

I wonder if the fee publicised is just a smokescreen to make us feel a little less upset. We never really know what the figures are. I would have preferred Man city -
lol, its never worried me to say I'm wrong. I said it about Sneiderlain, when I thought he was over-rated. He left us and now I might have been right all along lol
-
Sadly you are correct he is not coming back. When we are muddling around the Championship the penny might drop. If Leicester fail under Puel I will come on and admit that he is a poor manager and you were right, if he is a success I doubt you will come on and say you were wrong. A lot of fans ( not saying this is you) seem to think it is some kind of shame to admit they are wrong.

remember that in May if we finish with 46 100 or 20 points but finish 18th we get relegated. Last season we finished 8th because we finished with more points than the others below. That's how leagues work you know. You and others who moaned and whined because we failed to score, were part of the reason the board sacked the manager. We finished 8th, by getting more points than other teams. I doubt you went to the Cup Final as I assume we were not exciting enough, it was an exciting match btw where we played some exciting football
-
If he had stayed, he may have brought some players in that suited. There is no proof either way, but you suspect we'd be in the same position. In my opinion we would not have been
-
Hoj did a schoolboy mistake in his tackle on Rose in the lead up to Kanes headed goal. To tackle from behind when the player was heading into the box was criminal
-
I have to drum it in as a lot of our fans are too thick to absorb the truth quickly. All the whining and moaning has got us where? from 8th to a great chance of relegation, well done
-
Hold it, don't propagate that Puel has got a better squad at Leicester, ok there may be a couple of stand out players but the squads are pretty much the same. He did wonders here and given time will make Leicester a very good side.
-
if thinking that Puel would have become one of our best managers ever, then I will put my hand up. McMenemy who without doubt was out best ever manager got us relegated in his first season. Imagine social media with that!!!!!!! To have expected Puel to shape the squad in the little time he had and without the goalscorers is pretty pathetic. It could be said the same with MP of course, but there did seem a plan and system that worked under Puel

I was told this week that Pellegrino had told Austin earlier in the season, that he was not his type of player and should look to find another club., if we can get 7 m. Austin apparently was happy to go to China if that opportunity arose. Whether Pellegrino has changed his mind now, I don’t know, but I suspect he has after the goals have come from Austin alone
-
Why don’t you set one up as it seems there are no regulations in doing so?lol I assume it it is difficult and costly to develop.

Bitcoin had a bit of a tumble the other day, I assume it has recovered.

Duncan, imsurprised that you were anti Puel. He didn’t have the time or backing to get the team playing fluid football he wanted. I listened to Thirry Henry about him, and he was saying that the first season Puel gets the team to a stable not losing position. He then develops from there. The board stripped the team of goals, and did not give him replacements. ( the laughable ,we got Austin beforehand, )until too late, who then got injured. I must be very lucky in picking games I saw, as not once do I recall seeing turgid football. ( I didn’t do Europe) West Ham away was some fantastic slick counter attacking play, the Everton game at SMS we tore them a new one, magnificent display.( again we lost Simms to injury as he looked superb) then of course we had the cup run, where we destroyed Liverpool at SMS but useless finishing stopped it being a rout. We then had thebrilliant tactical display in the 2nd leg with the fantastic break away winning goal. The final again was a performance that as a Saints fan made me feel proud of the whole club. That was his first season, where he was robbed of VVD , Gabbi , Simms, and Austin for long periods. IMO a very big mistake by our club not to keep him on. Again IMO he was removed as the S/t sales were down and the chance of KL losing her payday. Hence why it took so long for the club to act. we won’t be seeing cup finals again for a lot longer and perhaps neither of us will ever do so again in our lifetimes
