  1. Surely not, you know the rulebook inside and out so nothing should bore you lol
  2. Lol,
  3. ah I see. Is that condisending idiot still the football reporter at the News?? The Villa fan, I cant recall his name
  4. God can you imagine the sickly congratulatory piece Reed and Kruegar will be thinking up as they slap each other on the backs? 'We are masters by leaving it to the correct time to relieve MP from his job, to give our newly selected manager, who we went through vigorous tests and considerable time before choosing the right man'
  5. Playing Man U in a semi final is pretty difficult, especially with a master of big games is up against you. poch is a fantastic manager and I do not wish him harm, but to dowell
  6. Iam concerned about the clubs complacency. When Austin was interviewed after the game the other night he brushed off that we could go down. Unprofessional and such an attitude my spark a team like City to think lets go for it. Get to half-time 0-0 or just 1 down and I will be happy, but if we start off slack we could get intoa lot of trouble and become very nervy. I hope my concerns are unfounded but watching Saints for over 50 years has made me more negative than I should be.
  7. It was until we had a sending off as I recall. We should have scored 3 or4 before then. A goal up and that would have changed the game
  8. are you talking of Koeman or Puel? Yet again asper most of that season we missed gilt edged chances that would have made us coast into the knockout stage. I recall VVD's easy header chance and Jrod at Milan. We sold our goals and relied on Long an injured Austin and Jrod who was never the player he was before the injury. If you think you can run a PL and Europa Cup campaign with those resources good on you.
  9. I thought it was about good exciting football. The same was for the Spurs game at home, whilst we lost we batteredthem, but of course as was the case for most of the season we couldn't put the ball into the net and that cost us. Still good football though
  10. its too subtle for me, that's for sure!!
  11. Perhaps they put it to vote to the staff of the Marriott
  12. Sorry saint86 i didn't mean to seem so scathing, it wasn't intended to be that way. Apologies
  13. Is that how you spell pathetic lol. Yes we an all bring up posts on the same vein, but yes you were correct
  14. you wouldn't be watching, you'd be too interested in defending the ref lol. Everton home springs to mind btw
  15. Tadic was pretty good under Puel, and I think they got on well, as after the Leicester game up there Tadic went across and had a very friendly chat
  16. Fabianski has been pretty good (2nd keeper not instead of McC) Joe Allen
  17. I think our fans have been very unfair on him. I still think that goal at Liverpool in the semi final made the hairs on my neck stand up more than Gabbis the other night. Both achievements were fantastic by both mangers. I will state again that had Puel been given more time we would be playing some fantastic football now, as he would have addressed the poor scoring problem in the summer. We played some good football without the final finish.
  18. yes it was, and a few did say as much
  19. Puel is gone, and whilst I am unhappy with that, it SEEMS we have survived the disaster that nearly befell us. I have warmed to Hughes, but if i had been told he would be our manager I would have thrown my arms up in despair. When he was appointed I posted that whilst I was sceptical I would support him, and he deserves that support as well as a period of time next season.
  20. I would have been happy to have kept Puel and Redmond is probably my favourite player, so I'm in the minority on most things on here. Gabbi showed a few things the other night that made me feel if he got the right service could make him brilliant for us. I like Austin but boy is he greedy, and so slow, but saying that he does hit the target when he gets a chance. If we hadn't won at Swansea the love of Austin would have diminished somewhat as he failed to put away his chances.
  21. well he set up Long beautifully the other night. It seems you believe in stats, personally leave it to judgement. Id love o see such stats to an ex player called Ted McDougall. I doubt he touched the ball a few teams in games, but when he got the chance he buried it
  22. I was amazed that they didn't put Dyer on,as he would have kept one of our full backs busy, and they would not have bee able to bomb forward.Add to that he would run at our defenders, something they don't like
  23. Lol Vardy is less so what do those figures really tell???
  24. I wonder if the Mrriot will ever make a statement bout this. I'm sure it has harmed them in a big way. Clubs may wonder if any Marriot hotel could do it to the if in the same situation. I expect that whoever thought it up would be in the mire. As for Swansea FC they have said nothing I assume about the way the coach was held up etc
