  1. Perhaps its done to us being battle weary. 50+ years fro me (I of course went when I was quite young At least in those day Ron Davies or Micky Channon and the likes were with the club for a load of seasons, so you really could have heroes , now? the kids have hardly got a name printed on their shirts and they are lining up for Liverpool
  2. going on loan to Spain according to Sky this morning
  3. Batsheyi (spelling ?) from Chelsea, would he not be a fantastic signing
  4. the fact is that 2 seasons or more we have been short of decent forwards. Add to that we knew as a club the VVD was going 2 weeks before the window opens. That is negligence or/and complacency. I know our fans are the most understanding when the club is criticised, and they will make excuses for Reed and Kruegar, and Katrina as we for some reason have to thank them for all the glory years. They can swan around picking up their large cheques, but at the end of the day fans like myself and the majority on here have devoted years of their time and angst supporting the club. We are ALL being played for fools, due to our stupid connection to a BUSINESS that happens to be named after the city most of us proudly come from. Had the club been called Liebherr Fc or Gao Fc we would now be shopping elsewhere. If the people of SFc ever bother reading posts on here, I would respectfully point out that in the last 6-9 months I have spoken to a lot of fellow fans and they are/have fallen out of love of our once great club.
  5. I still think Redmond should be up alongside Long or Gabbi, his pace and trickery is an asset we have not used properly
  6. still good on you. The secret will be when to leave the wheel of fortune. You and Convict have been pretty good at assessing this market. I have stood on the sidelines naysaying and feel a tad jealous lol. 40 plus years of buying and taking profits have served me well, but seeing the % you lads have made is very impressive. I still believe you are buying air, but the worlds speculating day traders are loving it. Just be ready to jump off the bus while its still rolling, once it pulls up everybody will be getting off IMO
  7. Coutinho tried, he was in the same position. Liverpool played itwell in respect they signed VVD and then sold the star. We had 3 weeks warning sold our star player and have nobody lined up. We did have Ralph come out and tell us that we are a small club
  8. How did he fail it, not taking enough
  9. boom boom lol
  10. yep to be fair to Patek, they are real watches. Rolex make 20 k a week and so are mass produced but as you say make themselves expensive so people desire to own them. The Chinese knockoffs are so good that it is nye impossible to tell, so that just shows that they are sold on their name only The nonsense of having to be a brand name.
  11. I thought it suited him when he played in front of the fullback under Puel
  12. yes it has gone on players. Not over and above
  13. behave, he hardly had a game until recently and been on the bench. If you saw his goals they were scuffed most of the time. IMO he os not ready yet. The club would love to have the heat taken off them by the fans calling for Gallagher, it is Jay of last season part 2. We as fans lost out as the club was able to take the cheap option of keeping JRod instead of buying, all on the back of a fluky goal against Sunderland
  14. I put a thread up about this last week. As always there were the yes men who said I was wrong and there is plenty of time. I also notice the smoke and mirrors how Ralph was said to have said the 75 would be put back but now it seems that has changed to over the next few years. It is comical how the PL millions are forgotten and only once we sell for a fantastic price that is used as the excuse of a budget. The fans have the wool pulled over their eyes all the time
  15. I get the sarcasm but in the last couple of games he came on set up a gilt edged chance for Austin and Gabbi yesterday...but don't let your dislike get in the way of good judgement. With quick minded players alongside him with pace he would be a very good player. It seems to me the manager has put shackles on him. Pep cant be that poor a judge, he is also frustrated seeing how Redmond has had his progress stalled
  16. i get what you are saying but,Les and the Liars told us that CL/ European football was always the aim. Yes those clubs get big gates but they don’t get the PL riches. les and Ralph raised our expectations and that has brought them a problem Hence noe Ralph is saying we are a small club, all part of pulling us down to be thankful for just surviving every season. frustrating watching Everton Liverpool the other night where about 8 of our explayers were on show
  17. yeah but 8th wasn't good enough so 9th pah lol. Hughes would be a panic appointment IMO
  18. you're getting old to know about that lol
  19. I don't think the best brands will let you sell at discount prices. To get the dealership you cannot discount, that's why Rolex is a strong brand.
  20. but is he? I don't think he has been successful anywhere
  21. How can our fans want Hughes!!
  22. Tell you what, I was going to Devon today and stopped in some services on the M5and there were about a dozen Bury fans. I didn't know who they were playing or how they are in their league. Only when I watched final score did I see that they lost 3-0 to Plymouth and are 11 points adrift at the bottom of their league. Now that is true fans and also something really to moan about. Cup final and 8th and we sack a manager lol
  23. when he starting limping after a challenge a big part of me thought 'I do hope so' The commentators really did big him up, there was a moment 2nd half where he left the ball for the keeper to come but really he should have cleared it and they blamed the keeper. There really is a massive bias towards Liverpool compared to any other club in England. At no time did they mention his appalling behavior
  24. Les Reed football supremo lol, I bet he loves that tag
  25. the really sad thing about the clubs head in the sand approach, there are a lot of decent peoples jobs at stake here. I remember last time we went down the jobs lost was awful
