As Del boy would say 'its a nice little earner, Rodney'

I suspect you have under estimated. As the year goes on there will be local inflation that will also impact on your other costs, not just the dollar purchases. Im glad you believe its worth it, Im not sure the majority who voted to leave really were prepared take a 200k+ hit. Sadly people who voted remain also wil have to take such medicine.

Isnt it odd that now the vote has been made, the BBC are not concentrating their time on the Syrian refugees not coming in their boats into Europe. They musyt have stopped coming now Brexit has happened
-
GM, how has the commodity price inflation due to the pound falling affected you? I know that a roofing company told me this week that their lead is costing 10% more, not all will be down to that but th costs will be feeding through in a minute. Obviously our exports will be cheaper

http://www.hl.co.uk/news/2016/8/9/brexit-bulletin-what-the-rest-of-the-eu-wants interesting, and if we got away with that it could be not too bad.

I would also be happy with a mid table finish, but I find it sad that our fanbase in the main is happy to accept being also rans. We get close and then fail to invest in our achievements to push us on. It is a great business model if you own the business but as a fan I find it depressing and frustrating.

Whilst I understand why you think this, SFC will sell if the offer is right. They know it is our last chance to cash in on the player. Obviously it would make Jose talk about Cl look foolish

time will tell. If we don't get a Trade deal with the EU we have. I also had clients from Norway today and they said that they hope that we don't use the Norway way, they complained they have all the negatives and costs without any input into the regulations they have to follow if they wish to do business with Europe.

Im surprised they didn't get the nation to buy him, after all they got the stadium for next to nothing

The sick man of Europe became one of the strongest in Europe mostly on the back of being part of the EU. I do agree with the Brexits regarding the burocrats who seem to be Sepp Blatters, but to kick 40% of your business in to touch is not clever. I was talking to somebody who is very much near the top of the negotiations and there is a feeling that Europe will stall and the 2 years will be up and we will have to adopt the WTO terms of tariffs and quotas, that would be bad for our exporters. The Europeans don't have to agree to anything but leave us hanging.

Turkish, Surely you can see that Cortese is not the reason the boxes are not filling 3 seasons later. Make a decent product and the companies will come. If a company is taking clients to Oxford street instead of the full game experience they are not major players. I have taken a box in the past and found it pretty poor value, up the game and then you will see people coming on board.

Hull will be still difficult for the first few games into the season.

I normally like the kits but this one is odd. The Virgin logo is badly positioned IMO
-
I think MP was the one pushing for Osvaldo. It is amazing how NC gets all the greif but people forget the Liebherrs never knew of us until he put the investment opportunity under ML's nose
-
yep it must be Cortese, he is still putting the prices up year on year and still not providing the quality. It is not impossible to get custom back if you get the product right. Those people would know that Cotese had left, and it is difficult to get a tray of drinks up from Oxford St at half time when entertaining clients. If you really are entertaining yuor business clients they will want luxury of a box , easy access to food and drink, so I doubt they are not going due to Cortese but basically the club are charging too much

I would suggest the VVD would be a greater loss, as he will improve as a player and his value increase greatly. Fonte would be a massive loss but this time next year his value will drop dramatically.

Oh ok, I was surprised at the original quote

Yesterday in the press Lovren and wife were mentioned and it said that Lovren was earning 16k per week. Considering we have been told that the players leave for massive wages (in football terms) perhaps we are not paying high wages as I had assumed he would have been on 20-30k at Liverpool
-
16k aweek! I thought he left for massive wages (in football terms)

Terrorist Attacks - WARNING: CONTAINS DISTRESSING IMAGES
OldNick replied to sadoldgit's topic in The Lounge
to be fair any attack by Western forces on ISIS would be seen by them as terrorist. The Germans called Bomber Command terrorists -
I assume the other 87 clubs have it wrong or cant afford natural grass. There must be a reason why the others use other than natural, we might see come January when it is a mud bowl. They have the best natural grass on the South Coast, and in the top 5 in England. Will they do a commemorative dvd about it?
