  1. I have to give you credit Mero, weeding out a few Saints fans from those hundreds of thousands of fans must be time consuming. Good luck with the new site though
  2. thats all well and good but where are the workforce coming from as they will be all kicked out as far as the brexiters are concerned. We havent the British workers to fill all these new jobs The waiting lists to see a consultantant or a hospital appointment is going to be get worse once the nasty immigrants have been kicked out. I assume you expect to cherry pick which ones goes and which stays lol
  3. I suspect the offer was a derisory 10-15k a week lol. If he has that type of attitude Im not sure that he is suited to us. IMO we want players who a keen to join not just for mad wages
  4. Man u to win league with Liverpool 3rd. Relegated Boro, Burnley, Hull. Bournemouth to finish above Saints 15th These predictions obviously will change if we strengthen the squad measurably. A thin squad will be effected by the Europa league
  5. I feel we have to give time to see if Puel is the right man. I don't follow European football and so did not know of him before he was linked to Saints. I do have concerns that the one player that really was exciting has left as well as a real powerhouse in midfield. We have brought Redmond in who has obvious talent but is he on the same level as players who have left? Puel will bring in a couple of French players I suspect and hopefully they will have more steel than the ones that joined Newcastle
  6. I voted remain and am still sore at the result but we should move on. It is getting sad that we are looking for ways around the result. The way the Italian banks and others connected to them are struggling perhaps we shoud press article 50 now and cut ourselves adrift. I saw an article where the EU have overspent billions and we have to contribute to make the shortfall, if the banks fail and we are not out by thenwe will still have to pick up some of that bill.It will be galling to leave , pay for the bailout and not have the benefits after euroe recovers
  7. Fair point, but Hislop has the worst case of short man syndrome there is,
  8. Jordan Ibe as well, Bournemouth are building a very good young English squad. Eddie Howe is a smart and impressive English manager.
  9. Apparently I have won 10000 dollars lol

    Chilcot

I doubt he will mention the Iraq war lol
  11. I understand your dislike of the burocrats and this will obviously rumble for sometime,
  12. Is Arry their manager again
  13. Brave visionaries lol. Gamblers most like. Perhaps in 5 years you will be able to look my grandchildren in the eye and tell them why you gambled with their future on a whim.
  14. I really hope you are proved wrong. The last thing we need is somebody we know little about and already seems to have questions about her truthfulness. Like me I doubt you knew little about her until a few weeks ago. I did notice though God is a major part of her life
  15. I do find how the leaves are showing great confidence that our future is going to be bright encouraging. I would abhor it if we went back on the referendum and that would be a national disgrace to even contemplate it. I'm not sure how the other counties in the EU would take it either, as we have cost their economies fortunes due to the uncertainty we have caused. If you are on an index linked pension or have assets based in dollars or export to the USA, I suggest you can sit and enjoy the ride but sadly the majority of business and the people of the UK are likely to have a grim 5 years. If you had a business that was doing well and somebody came to you and said that you should cut away 40% of your business ( it was a difficult customer but there to stay) and look to markets elsewhere where you may find new business although not as wealthy a customer, at the same time potentially losing a major part of your core business to your rivals, you would laugh at them. I think that is what we have done. I will be so delighted if my concerns prove to be unfounded
  16. a clever bit of business if they get him, I would be very happy if we signed him

    Euro 2016

Laugh by all means to celebrate like that no way. A Welsh colleague of mine was ashamed of their conduct.
  18. Surely the Chancellor should point out the dire consequences as hr saw it of our leaving. At this moment in time I think the Brexit is the most devastating event that has happened to our economy. I remember my father deriding Healy and co when we had the embarrassment of considering the IMF to bale us out in the 70's. We are either 5th or 6 th in the world regarding our economy, it would be interesting to know what we were when we first went in. Of course we didn't have the new major economies of China India and Russia at that time

    Euro 2016

well why do we show such love and enthusiasm back then? The players were celebrating the humiliation of many of their team-mates
  20. Personally I think Osbourne has done a decent job as well as Carney. They have tried to steady the ship in the face of quite some turbulent winds.

I suppose a lot depends if you are buying or selling. The big oil companies would have made plenty
  22. the thread asks would he improve us. IMO he would and is a box to box midfielder.

    Euro 2016

After watching the Welsh teams celebrations after Englands defeat against Iceland I couldn't give a toss how they do tonight, a good hammering might do them so good. I understand them being quietly pleased, but that was pretty distasteful.

    Claude Puel

as in all things there is no silver bullet but as far as I can see the club is set up to provide others for success. Our fans will be paying high season ticket prices and buy merchandise to pay a lot of the overheads and then the club develops players to sell on at massive profits, which disappear into the ether. I agree we don't want ot be a bankrupt club and also high transfer fees don't guarantee success, but do you not envy clubs even smaller than us who have won trophies in the last 10 years or so? It seems to me our fans are happy to live with bragging that we finished 6th /7th or 14th. I feel we are being cynically used and have been brainwashed that there is some kind of moral high ground to find and develop players who then go onto play at bigger clubs. IMO if the club really want to develop the club as a worldwide brand they actually need to win stuff as the people in China USA and Japan etc are not prepared to o follow also rans. A difficult thing to balance but IMO we need to show a but more ambition.
