  1. Or could show that Jordan could not value a player. I think a similar thing was said about us buying Perry Groves, i think Arsenal thought he was worth 75k and we offered 250 (?)
  2. It must have been the wording in my post that did not make that clear.
  3. thanks I wondered who the player was. If it was Jose he was a bargain
  4. I don't know everything, I do know that you are very precious and if anybody dares to have a different opinion to yours you get pretty tetchy and throw your toys out of the pram. I respect and enjoy your ability to publish a book but that does not stop me adding my opinion right or wrong, on a forum. If you stood back and thought ,you may understand that we all do not make our judgements on the Chairman on the basis of your commercial enterprises. You obviously have your circle of friends/contacts but that does not mean you have all the facts. Excuse me for being grateful to NC but also if the facts come out that he indeed was a negative to the club I will be happy to move my stance. I also suspect you will be praying he does not return,as I do wonder if your thread telling the world that one of his close colleagues was disloyal no sooner the door had closed could cost him his job. At this time my loyalty is with KL as I hope she will do the best for the club and her fathers wishes.Time will tell.
  5. I'm sorry but there were no other parties in position to buy us. Although it was rumoured that there were waiting in the backgroundwho were prepared to pay 6m (6m)if all else failed.Liebherrs had made an offer but Mark Fry had made Pinnacle the preferential bidder. ML could easily have walked as he was frustrated by that.
  6. Yep we all believe our club is very desirable and the worlds rich would like a piece. The reality was that when we were so close to extinction we had Pinnacle and Mark Jackson as our best chance!!! Iam so glad the bully had the foresight to save our great club so we can still have our spats
  7. She doesn't need the money but she doesn't also need the hassle. Her danger is that if she sold some of the assets the clubs worth would drop accordingly
  8. it is funny how they think that we are worth 120 m and not 175m, the person can pay the 120m is hardly going to shy away at the higher price, they would obviously negotiate but people who can play around by buying a football club for over 100m does not see money as a deal breaker
  9. He doesn't sound that convincing to me, it's as though he has been reading this site
  10. Lol, yep I was disappointed no pipe or slippers came with the Jag, probably too fast to put them in
  11. Woman in court for shoplifting a tin of peaches, the judge wants to be tough on crime and asks 'how many peaches were there in the can?' '6,your honour ' the clerk informs him, to which the judge says 'I'am going to jail you a year for each peach, and so 6 years prison for you' with that her husband jumps up and shouts 'she stole large tin of peas as well' '
  12. Probably the same person who rang FB . If NC did return I sense there will be a job vacancy pretty soon
  13. Griffo mate. Idont think you should be putting up this private and sensitive info. Someone's job will be on the line
  14. I don't think our best defence was in front KD when he played
  15. Boruc is our no1 keeper, he could have done better with the 2nd yesterday. He gets more slack for mistakes than the other keepers but a few mistakes a season is what should be expected. Watch all the keepers mistakes yesterday in the PL
  16. yep that's right take off the engine from midfield put on Gaston ,while they added legs and power against them, brilliant
  17. lol
  18. If you watch how Mourinho plays against our type of football it is the same thing. They players sap their strength for the first 60mins and then they bring on fresh players to add energy in midfield
  19. I thought any tackle from behind is a foul whether they touch the ball or not. The reason they try to stop such tackles was to stop this type of injury
  20. what receipts and photos? you know the form on here CB, can't say for legal reasons. I did see that with my own eyes though, You are of course correct in that it was not a court case per say but court proceedings. As Nc did not go through with it we of course would take it that he was not the innocent party.
  21. how can his assists be unrelated to being good at linking play? To be fair to you i dont think you are one of those rabid anti RL posters but I feel he is getting some pretty pathetic stick. To expect Sunderland to play poorly in the 2nd half was optimistic, if we had kept it to 2 nil at H?T then perhaps. therefore they upped their game put in more energy and made it more difficult for the whole team, including RL
  22. so the facts of the court case are? oh you want me to take sides on a court case without the facts. It is funny that, from somebody who never makes a statement, but just tries to pick away at others opinions. Too frightened to take a stance in case sometime later they may be proved wrong. You keep it up Mr Humourless you're doing a fine job.
  23. oh, your post regarding Phil was supposed to be funny. Yep went right over my head ,all those others who posted their Lol's got it though
  24. well 5 assists as well as numerous other chances he has set up but lack of finishing keeps the total down. Who has managed as many or more assists, AL? who is our main creative midfielder perhaps.
  25. Well if i have to take a view from FF's accounts i may be a tad unconvinced 'as there is no wrath like an author/historian scorned' , he admits himself that he was not happy with events and so not all of the episode perhaps was relayed in an even way. As the case was dropped before it came to court then i would lean in the landlords favour. Was it the floor, a swimming pool, the lack of gardening that was the initial problem? nobody seems to have given a consistant reason why there was a problem.
