  1. I have an XJ and it is a superb car. It would be great if they were also built in Southampton. Of course there is an disused factory where it could be sited.
  2. It was convenient that Cotterill had his piece in the media. I wonder if he has been having words with the powers that be. They must get success quickly or the 3 Amigos champagne corks will be re-inserted but not back in the bottles
  3. I assume it was a full house at Cheltenham yesterday? Unless of course it was a long way for the Blue Army to travel, 3pm on a Saturday, live on TV.,high priced tickets , etc etc etc
  4. For those who got tickets I'm sure it was superb. Personally watching it on telly made no difference if it was in London or Tokyo. We have posts on here about people striking in the public sector for higher wages, well some of the reason they cannot have those is down to the debt we added to having the luxury of the Olympics. Tourism dropped last summer as people don't want to go to the city holding the Olympics.so there was other hidden costs eg less tax revenue. I'm with Whitey,
  5. that may be the case but it was unfair to leave him out when he was in superb form.
  6. To play a wicket keeper over The strength of his batting over glove work is madness. A stumping or brilliant catch can save 50runs. Seems we have a case of the old boys club in the management . There again as Bransgrove loves his people's club at Pompey why am I surprised
  7. Hamsters on the9 in the forum match was pretty tasty lol
  8. it occurred to me that the taking out of their premises of the valuables eg the table and chairs that have a large value, could be construed as hiding assets from the creditors. Why have the HMRC not seized them ?
  9. it was Norris not Nugent and so 4.5k a month lol. What did Allen say, something like it was Norris day on the anniversary of his late goal. Well we should have our own Norris day each time his next installment is due
  10. talk about your visions being destroyed in an instant. Here was I worshipping all the repartee and humour that this man posts, to then find out his name is Brian. At the very least it should have been Tarquin, or Harrison, but Brian!!
  11. If Mata playing for Spain had made the same chances and scored there would be lots of articles talking about the 'magician' Mata was. Even some Saints fans are too blind to see the quality the man has in his locker. Englands attacking game was so much more fluid, the way RL dropped off and made space. For me Walcott should play the Welbeck role, and let RL do his stuff aka last night in Ukraine. Walcotts pace would be ideal for RL's passing and set up play. Hopefully RL can play the no 10 role for saints
  12. talk about blatantly touting for a job
  13. I dont think many people think that, well i dont. What we have to do is be sensible, there is only so much money to go around. The more the Government pays out the more it has to draw in,add to that the threat of inflation and so it could mean higher interest rates. Then we are worse off
  14. Phil,I think any fair minded person would agree. The bankers have personally cost me hundreds of thousands of £'s. Both ends of the political spectrum are to blame, as always the people in the middle of the 2 get hurt most.
  15. There will be no Frost on Sunday Im told
  16. when people understand that society does not owe them a living we may get somewhere. There are billions of Chinese, Indians, and others around the world that want to eat our kids next meal. Unless we stay competitive in the wages and conditions we will be at the mercy of our competitors. I dont want to see child labour and the working man being treated poorly, but we all have to be realistic and the strife that strikes cause will end in tears. The public sector also need to understand that the government have a budget and unless they stick to it or things will never get better.
  17. they have to justify their existance. If they have genuine grievances then fine. Sadly too many of these people live a life of envy and distorted politics, unrest makes them famous. Anybody around in the seventies remeber the names of the union leaders of the day, I cant recall many in the last 20years or so
  18. is it ok by the authorities to provide only one toilet for 900 people. i would have thought the local council should have something to say about that
  19. Is he just off to a David Blunkett lookalike contest?
  20. You are a wag Turkish. One of the biggest trolls on here but at times you give good debate. MiserableOldGit should be given the respect he deserves. Too many posters have left due to the intimidation a pack mentality on here. Yes we all put some nonsense on here but some just do it for effect and to make an online celebrity. MOG don't let it get you down,we all get to an age where the childish posts cheese you off but just skate over them and read the educated and decent debate. Not mine of course bu there are some good and also very amusing posters on here still
  21. You get the point though
  22. Anyone got the stats of how we got on in the PL with those 2 playing alongside each other?
  23. I also would like to see pace in the side. I assume Mayuka was brought for that ,but he doesn't seem to cut it
