  1. if you look at the picture from the news you can see in the background there is a sizeable contingent. Forget not the Naval connection and many may have traveled back to met an old flame at the dockyard
  2. i think our kit is great and the days of fans looking like walking deck chairs are in the past. Just need to get rid of the sponsors logo
  3. it has been edited now and the picture and Clyne's name corrected
  4. and we have Pompeys answer to Lucy Pinder
  5. TB has now lowered himself to feed from the sewer pipe like the rest of them. There he is lying on his back with his mouth open waiting to feed on the next log that falls his way. At no time does he consider the pain that 'great club' has inflicted on the creditors. For every free tour they have on a fan, they have begged, cheated hundreds more and the tax payer on their way to the top table.I suspect many of the decent Pompey fans squirm at the begging letter today and will hate the fact that such an act is being played out in the name of their club. I am always suspicious of the actions of these people and perhaps Trousers is correct that they are hoping to hoodwink the FL. I thought when we were given our points penalty that we were told we would not get our golden share or a bigger penalty if we appealed.
  6. So not toast then? Bloody hell im going to have to go and relaunch 'Pompey will get away with it Newco' If that comes to pass they would have dodged the bullet yet again.
  7. perhaps it is good business. The trialists told to go on their own steam and so costs are kept low, whilst no appearance money etc is paid to the contracted players
  8. Very interesting insight Pat. I didnt realise the Wright was treated badly.
  9. Hasnt Pompey been funded by local businessmen for the last 10 years, they of course did not intend to
  10. Until it was run around the Salisbury area, i had naively thought that there were people running the whole route not getting on and off a coach. hardly the Olympic spirit
  11. Oh dear i might have to reconsider 'they will get away with it' tm. I was confident last week reading on here that they were indeed finished , but seeing the likes Howard etc joining up as trialists and I may have a re-think. Taking on a no.2 shows that TB feels there is life in the club. Pretty disappointing really that they can still try and sign some decent players for that level.
  12. yep that will be good, although you know how things change in this saga, the name could be re-listed again !!!!
  13. I wonder how TB feels at present because it seems to me , that decision could well make his liability as an administrator land in his lap. It will focus his mind as he could well end up with the liability. This could hasten his decision what to do with the club
  14. PKF administrators have just made a statement announcing that due to unforseen circumstances 'Pompey will get away with it ltd' has been put into liquidation, as the director OldNick has been unable to trade on this since midnight on the 12/07/12. He would like to thank all who have been loyal to this brand, and looks forward to future business trading as 'I told you all along that they were toast' The companies assets £50 will be donated to a childrens charity of the customers choice.
  15. I assume we can take his word that it was just for the odd throw in. How many times did we seem to let late goals in and get draws not wins etc? It just underlines what contempt the players really have for fans. we pay, and are up for it every game when a percentage of them want their big pay packets and also happy to give a free kick throw-in etc just to get a bit more. Shameful that 2 of our players have held their hands up to this, and we call Pompey cheats
  16. No wonder NC does not wish to have anything to do with our past. Did Clau get his testimonial, if so he had fans pay for that as well.
  17. yet another subtle way of trying to get rid of a player on a legal contract. Once Varney , Norris and Kanu are gone then the whole of their efforts will centre on the 30k a week man
  18. i made a visit to the memorial yesterday, I was in London for a couple of days and felt I would show my respects. What a magnificent tribute it is. I read a few of the messages from relatives and it was very poignant. If in London go and visit it, the bronze is magnificent and the whole feel of the place is very respectful.
  19. these rumours are what makes forums fun. Well done, Turkish Id rather you post a snippet than keep it to yourself.
  20. speedy recovery Whitey
  21. My opinion is that, the criticism of the bombing campaign does disrespect those brave flyers. It is MY opinion not those expressed by others. Those airmen went out and did what they thought was best at that time, and i suggest had they been able to roll the clock forward I doubt they would have bothered. Their sacrifice (Im sure they didnt wish to die) and the aftermath of their efforts by questioning their role in the victory, has been a large part of the reason they have not been honoured before. It is shameful, and whilst i do not condone the deaths of some innocents I find it difficult to comprehend how we could have done it any differently. Civilian causalities are still happening now with our modern weapons, although not targeted of course. I doubt that CEC intended to show disrespect and those men gave their lives for the freedom of speech and our liberty. Iam perhaps too sensitive to the criticism of Harris and the bombing campaign but the trendy, 'lets be ashamed of our nation actions' does not sit well with me.
  22. deadline day to me is when the CVA was to be agreed and BC to take over. If you wish to qualify it more then Iam happy to do so. more importantly where is the money to go, I would prefer a Childrens charity
  23. Sadly it seems to me you have already done that.
  24. as they have appointed a recruitment officer TB fully expects them to be alive for a lot longer. Again the media are helping TB apply pressure on Tahim by the subtle and not so subtle press releases. If he is not gone by the deadline or taken a massive paycut I will give £50 to a charity of the posters choice on here.
  25. The administrator knows that he will carry the can if he does it wrong. Therefore if MA is taking staff on, I suggest that TB knows that BC is taking over whatever and they are posturing trying to rid of the higher paid staff and there is a lot of bluff going on. TB is under the constraints of the law (i know, we are talking Pompey)and is liable in certain situations.
