  1. The PL branding will be effected big time if 1 of their clubs is unable to fulfill the fixtures, and the league having to take points away from some teams. Liverpool will be the only power team who would be happy for that to happen and so they will vote in favour. It will make a mockery. I think the PL thought that the judge would order a 28day reprieve and so give them more time to find a backer. It was a close run thing and the PL will now be busting a gut trying to find a way out for them. The world wide issue is at stake, they are not worried about the home market as we are no longer the real target audience IMO. I was wrong it sems that the judge appointed the accountants, if Pompey have i doubt they would chose people who were not a little understanding. I do not know how Vantis are rated and without doubt well above board, but it does concern me that if they had been at the club for a month and not seen what seems quite obvious , it is a bit worrying. Of course they may not have seen any of the accounts and so unable to draw any quick asessment re trading while insolvent.
  2. stand back and look at it from the PL's side. They are desperate for a PL side not to go into admin. They in my mind will do as much as possible to help that from happening. Giving the money to Pompey is not really changing the events on the pitch but also can be dressed up as keeping the leagues integrity. Forget not Dave Richards Chairman of the PL introduced Al fahim to the club, we dont know what other cosy agreements they have with Storrie. It is dirty politics and I still think Pompey will escape, so close to true justice the other day but now out of its clutches. if Vantis have already been working on Pompeys books for weeks then that also worries me. Id have thought they would have been honour bound to put them into admin as soon as they had seen them trading while insolvent. I dont feel happy with what is reported on here this morning.
  3. The FA surely are leaving themselves open, in not immediately frezing any of PFC's fixtures until they can assertain whether they are indeed trading illegally. The FA have seen in court that a judge and HMRC have agreed that they believe they are trading illegally. I would have thought their lawyers would have got them to act imediately as it could leave them open to private claims. I know its fanciful but why couldn't groups of clubs fans who are directly effected make psycological claims that their team has been relegated and the stress involved. the clubs players (as Sheff utd threatened to once) sue as their potential loss of earnings etc. Fanciful i know but in this world!
  4. My understanding is that is not an option.Whether they pay up or not they have to supply concrete evidence that they can pay all the debts (read Phils post , who to me sums it up perfectly) If not it's goodbye.
  5. i think you will find that I had stated that after speaking to a corporate lawyer sunday,, he said that the judge would appoint accountants to look at the clubs accounts. I think the short timescale would be a surprise to him though. I have always thought they'd get away with it, but now there is outside accountants in,I feel that much will come to light
  6. I wonder how quickly they get into the club.I suspect fans of all clubs expect them to find some unusual trails of expenditure. i wonder if the revenues case against certain people might get some more evidence.
  7. Interesting, I still wonder that when ANY of their suppliers read that the judge agrees that they are trading while insolvent will pull the plug immediately or quickly join the list of creditors. Any staff ,hire cars, the electric company and IT etc surely should withdraw their services and goods
  8. and if Cardiff go to the wall as well?
  9. that might be good to text around, to counter -10 in southampton stuff all those months ago.Anyone got some good lyrics to Amarillo, .....'road to extinction' could be good
  10. If only more of your fans were as reasonable as you and PES and the rivalry would be proper , not that ugly stuff so many spit out.
  11. Lol
  12. I heard last night there were a few incidents where some fans were fighting between ourselves, any idea why?
  13. I dont know and dont think anyone who does has posted on here.Clapham has disappeared today of all days, lazy sod is probably doing some work instead of keeping us informed
  14. If Pompey had a home game saturday I think it would have been very hard for them to fulfill it.My reasoning for this is that the judge has stated they are insolvent, therefore who in their right mind will provide them any services or goods?
  15. 7 days for them to find some more imaginary friends. Anticlimax better than 28 days
  16. I just realised that would be the money they held back from transfers to be paid
  17. if true that is opening a can of worms
  18. not ground breaking but totally illegal.
  19. Fu## me that is serious
  20. you just know this site is going to crash before we know the result
  21. 'Stop this persecution of Pompey today allow our beloved team time now Chanarai is in place to steady the finances and try to find a genuine buyer who loves the club as much as our fantastic supporters portsmouth till i die' Dont you just love some of those quotes, they really are quite funny
  22. the judge can appoint accountants to review the situation. No Clapham so far today so that is how I can see it.
  23. It could be worse than Stalins burnt earth strategy Lol
  24. 'we as a club will always survive because we were born fighters, we have always had our best players sold, we have always been ripped off, but now we have the best leader in AVRAM GRANT there is real hope, this man was born to lead us! ' Typical nonsense taken from the news chat. They cant understand how they came to buy those star players in the first place, the reason why they are where they are.,
  25. watching Avram last night made me sick. Trying to say that decisions are against them in a game the ref sent 2 of the opposition off and added 6 minutes injury time. Then we are fighting the world, why the PL didnt make it fair so that we could deal in the transfer window.Lol Do these people really believe they are hard done by with a squad that cost more than their competitors and also wanting to add to their wage bill, whilst avoiding the HMRC
