that post was following 1 where I said Lambert needed another forward alongside to help.Saga is just too hit and miss. When did he last score?
-
Oh yes lets just order another computer system that bleeds more money. BTF is about to start the job and so obviously knows more, but it doesnt get over the fact that there must be overstaffing.
-
so without going into your personal details going to be on less than a normal nurse. Are you going to do a job that at present 2 nurses are doing?
-
Of course you have to have these people but if we used the same overstaffing in the whole of the economy everything would come to halt as we would go bust. We are back to the usual problem with state run industries, overstaffing and inefficiency. It would be impossible to run the NHS down to the last penny saved, but surely you must see that with so much resource thrown at it we as a nation will not be able to afford it.Im sure if you were honest with yourself you could see that there are many jobs that could be absorbed and cuts made.

I dont know if you are trying to be patronising but it seems so. I think you are over playing how much having a chain of people is saving. i dont expect a nurse to buy the bandages and have examples in the past where inexperienced negotiators have done and then overpaid. Now I believe the tenders go up on the internet for people to bid on. That is an improvement as it makes competition. It is easy to brush over overstaffing by trying to use the 'nurse out of work, or wasting her valuable time' card. There seems to me to be such a chain of command that we have a lot of maangers who are not needed. Something has to give, we cannot go on funding the NHS to the extent it is at present.Choices have to be made and whether it is frontline services or management go , that difficult decision will be made.I myself would like to see more management go but the NHS has grown to such an animal it is going to be difficult whatever route is taken. The pension liability alone is frightening.

why are they excuses, they are as it is at this moment.I myself can see some real problems in the goalscoring department. He needs to address that quickly.I cant see natural goals scorers there and so he needs to be backed in getting at least 1 in.
-
And how many people does thatr process go through to order the bandages? May i ask also the clincians keep their private work, can you give me an example? So they work extra hours , does that mean on overtime?
-
Yeah right, it has nothing to do with Storrie he was only following orders...lol You can stay in the PL living within yours means, you bought your success and now are whining because you have to take some medicine.Take it and get on with it. As for you having more points than us, we had a points penalty for going into admin, sadly you didnt have that when you did.

'Many, if not most, managers in the NHS are clinicians carrying out their 'proper' jobs as well as carrying out management responsibilities.' How do those 2 statements not conflict. You started by saying that they were combined jobs but now just managers telling these people what to do.Can you not see why the public at large are confused why we have os many managers running the show.May i add many say the French and German systems are very good, do they have such a massive workforce. i want the NHS to be strong, but at the same time if we can make it work efficientlythat can only be good for us all as taxpayers and patients.

My friends went over jan time a few years back and the wife and kids were crying as they were so cold.Be careful when you book.I would also say it would be preferable if you went to Florida it is magical. Virgin are supposedly doing some great deals to Orlando at present if you book in september.

Dont think he'd be interested.I noticed last night that the wind turbine contracts have gone to the North East not to the IOW etc nothing to do with elections comig up of course.
-
Can you explain that, are you saying they are one minute seeing patients then the next filling out forms and doing costings and getting quotes?
-
Bournemouth had a fantastic end to last season ,and a great young manager in place. He has had plenty of time but he has done well.Newcastle have a team of top players and a couple of wins was always going to spark them.
-
Nothing wrongwith having concerns. My mindset as you well know is support the club and try and unite behind it even if you have some reservations.I doubt there is a manager that any of us would agree with every time. I also would have liked to have had some players in earlier and got us up and running with an early win.It becomes harder each wek as the win doesnt arrive, the players and fans will get twitchy. We are playing not too bad but we must not fall into the trap of 'we are southampton a bigt club and you are little yeovil' We should respect all the opposing teams and not just keep saying we should beat them because they are c### because frankly so are we. We are slowly getting better but few of our players would get into everyteam in this league, probably 3 at most. KD Hammond and Lambert.
-
So you dont think it needs to be addressed? I suspect the wider population do not know this and it certainly puts things into focus. That is one hell of a workforce and so there must be room for reducing it.Perhaps at management level instead of at the bottom.
-
DD our sole purpose must be staying up this season.I said on numerous occasions we needed a good start or the ans would start to get jittery. We have to cut the gap between us and safety soon I agree but putting up every game is a must win only adds pressure to us.It is patently obvious we need somebody up front alongside Lambert who can put the ball into the net, we need to get a 2 goal lead.I do think that once we have got a win we will then relax more and the best will follow.

Met up with Dubai Phil last night for a drink in Salisbury before he goes to Florida on business/pleasure. His revelations are both alarming and amusing. He tells it well and I hope he finds time very soon to post it.
-
I agree many have not said Pardew out, but quite a few have alluded to it. More subtle and underlying quotes.I myself got the impression you had alluded to the same, but i could be wrong.
-
I think the NHS is great.I hate the waste and would like that to be addressed. It astonished me this morning when it was stated that the NHS is the 3rd biggest employer in the WORLD !!! Bigger than the Russian army FFS
-
I expect it's both. I do love the grammar police, it is so much sweeter when they get caught out.

CB you do get a bit narky if people have a differing view to yours. You obviously think that with all the politics and fans division that to then run a football club is easy. The managers you say have done it in one season I cant be bothered to research.McLeish took over a PL squad that was not stripped of its star players, the same can be said of Mowbray. Billy Davies did remarkably well the same as Coyle and Keane.Right place right time but i take nothing away from them.Coyle especially on very low budgets has wheeled and dealed and used no superstars to try and make it. I do hope you keep your own personal finances better than SFC did over this period, as you may think it was OK to take a punt but I myself thought it was reckless and we are now suffering from that spin of the wheel. In the summer period after that playoff season allegedly we couldnt even afford to have the mowers serviced and had a stop put on some of our accounts. It was only due to the sales we made from the squad kept us afloat. I dont believe that GB is the best manager we have had but he did what he could in probably one of the most turbulent periods in the clubs history. I feel sure in the next few months a few things will come out and people may see more of the picture thsat was going on.
-
The first part of my post was too hard for you to comprehend I understand that. As for the Torquay match I also agree to get people along 15 is too high and perhaps a tenner would have been better. For Charltons scheme to work they need 3 times the gate than we get.I doubt that will happen.I also think it is an agreement between both clubs re pricing.
-
it is a good one. I had hoped it may have been true...am I wrong in that??
-
is that why Phil is flying back? Anyway if you are playing it will soon be 'young crocks' i couldnt make it sunday anyway, playing cricket against bramshaw. Scored 48 sunday just gone. Caught on boundary going for a glorious pull for 6 for my 50...never mind we stil won.
-
I noticed that.I looked and was surprised it had gone.I doubt LC would baulk at paying to watch us.
