  1. Being cynical I dont think that the dutch player was coming and it was a smokescreen.Or that the bank has indeed pulled the plug on a deal as we couldn't afford him.
  2. Robbie Coventry finished one place below us and as they lost last game of the season away at Charlton would have gone down had Leicester won,and so were closer to relegation than us.Dont believe me , read back and see others will confirm
  3. Lets hope these messages give him a lift. Come on Ed you have us all behind you.
  4. Greenridge, Im not saying Flashman was not theo thers .I believe at present he is not NC. I had too many petulent, hissy fit posts from Flashman to believe that NC is the same poster. The posts are far too edcated, I would expect they cme from closer to RL's circle, not as in a pr plant but just a a supportive collegue (not friend)
  5. May i ask.If LC took over tomorrow and did those things and we went down, whose fault would you say it was? I suspect RL would get the blame whatever. May i also point out SISU did not help last season and they were closer to relegation than we were.LC also came out and criticised their position saying that htey had not done much good
  6. In principle do you not think in hindsight if we had one end that was full of fans singing and causing an intimidating atmosphere that would be better. I do agree that the away fans should be put in a worse position where they could not make such an impact.Newcastle put them up in the gods (a massive stadium of course) and norwich i read only gave us a small strip on the side where the impact is less.
  7. That is true.THe very anti Lowes believe they are fighting a just cause , whilst i always felt that I was protecting the club (Not RL) from unfair abuse. I have niw become more anti RL in so much he did not act quick enough regarding Jan and also put in Wotte and not an established CCC manager.Having said that Wotte's interviews have been ok and that has encouraged me a bit.
  8. Now that is madness, the cost would have bee reduced by very little doing so, unless of course it was a tongue in cheek comment
  9. To be fair even the more anti RL fans would take that and many would hold their hands up and say fair play.I think the anti RL' the more understanding RL posters and even the ones in the middle are not out to score points, all they want is us to stay up get back to a stable financial position and then go from there. It is fear of relegation and the trip into oblivion that is feeding this unrest
  10. I have been accused by a couple of fans of being a PR plant. That was a lol moment. I think I recall that during the Wilde bunch takeover they also had a couple of paid plants.I think it is ridiculous we have any. There are many intelligent people in all camps whop put up reasoned arguements. what the club should do is be more pro active in fire fighting blatant mistruths on here. Surely it would be easy for them to register under Official SFC responce and counter any real mistruths. The club web site is only a money making machine and that comes first.
  11. Would it in hindsight have been better if the fans who sing and get behind the team have got their seats in the Chapel. We could then have had a proper 'home end'. Somewhere the fans would really get behind the team and we'd have our own Kop,Stretford,Holt end or even the Milton from the 60's. I know a lot of the momnkeys want to stand next to the away fans but as for causing an intimidating atmosphere, having a whole end full of fans wanting to sing and roar the team home would be good. Please do not associate it with the Chapel now, but how it could have been had it been arranged better.
  12. I did wonder at the time if it was him. That was the first season I moved to that position and he sat behind me along a little. He hasnt been there for 2 seasons.Bit thanks LS
  13. Sundance is not NC IMHO
  14. I dont believe he is Flashman at the charge.I had many run ins with him and there is no way the style of these postings are by the same person. NC is a very eloquent poster and does not (at present) turn into a rabid frenzy when he gets abuse unlike Flashman.
  15. Mike are you 100% confident that there will be no trouble ? I do hope there isnt because it will only serve the boards interests in calling them the mindless minority when patently that isnt the case. I have spoken to a few fans who are not from the Northam since the Donny game and some are not going tomorrow as they dont want to see those episodes again. Another couple were so upset that they were due to go into Southampton after the game to the cinema but just drove back home. Some youngsters said that the town that night had a really bad atmosphere. I am not saying the march should not go ahead and I hope it gets the right result but i cant recall it ever doing anything rather than give the media a chance to make people look a bit dim or chavvy.I can see the cameras panning on the hoodies at the front pulling faces at the camera and singing Southamprton til I die while pushing Duncan or Steve out of the weay while they are being interviewed.
  16. Oh I must run off and report you to the mods for this lol. I add a line from you next post to show that your outburst was in fact incorrect Alpines quote 'As for Pearson, I was completely non-plussed by his appointment at the time considering some of the people available. So what ? I never demanded his removal after a crap result.'
  17. Guan that is not quite correct.Had Leicester won and the other results stayed the same Coventry would have gone down. Your point is correct though. As for Wes , yes it is down to points gained the whole season, but when Gb left we were closer to play off than relegation, when G&D left we were closer to the relegation places and when NP left we were only 20 minutes away.NP is not the messiah, he is a useful manager who is guiding a very good squad out of L1. He inherited a squad that was too good to go down and it was a travesty it happened. He is now cutting his teeth in L1 and doing a very decent job of it. The soul of our club has been ripped out, Leicestrer have a sugar daddy who has absorbed a 14.5 m loss (their 2nd time of being saved, what is it about teams who play in blue) and so it is near impossible to fight the unrest the financial mire and the board squabbling.there is only one way for us and NP would I doubt been able to arrest the slide. We need hope, fight and desire.Killer may give some of that in the dressing room, with Wottes tactical brain ,I hope, to get us moving upwards.
  18. who when RL was under pressure before was going to buy the club.He went on the radio up against RL. Is he not interested or was he never able to come up with the goods. He was a true fan and I think had s/t's on the Northam
  19. good job they did. I wish we could kick the person who recommended that big useless lump from Stoke to Pearson and Crouch
  20. Duncan I have not read all this thread through. Is the protest about ridding us of RL and installing LC. If so his comments this week add up a bit more. I do worry that it will be hijacked by the more vociferous of fans and respected fans will be outshouted. I will support anyone trying to get them ALL out, I dont want to be associated with just a part of the gang going.
  21. Just that NP was getting all the credit for his signing when it was GB's goalkeeping coach who sounded him out and got him here, apart from that it was NP's superb talent spotting.
  22. I recall your incredulity when he was first appointed.lol
  23. Fair assessment as far as Im concerned
  24. RW was on Malc Websters advice//insistance so Im told.Lucketti did ok but was not there for the win against Sheff utd last day.
  25. He has never lived up to the hopes we had.He played ok but was rarely head and shouldes above an average player for us.I was always doubtful that his heart was with us after his transfer took so long.To me he was stalling for a better offer and when it didnt come he reluctantly signed here.
