if a couple of thousand turn up it will be of some use, if it is only a few hundred at best then it will be brushed off as a minority. I beleive that the removal of Jan will mean quite a few who would have gone and were only waverers will now not turn up and wait and see what transpires. At the end of the day it is hard for fans who love the club, then be part of something we all know in some way damages it.

Yeah but you know I dont mean it
-
No probs. No im not one for marches although I do understand why its being done.I have business committments and leave at the very last minute to get to the game.
-
Ooooooops, I think id better edit it
-
and we are in the position to get top players. You cut your cloth accordingly. To be fair the loans in the main in the last few seasons have done well for us.
-
I dont think it was a case of him losing the dressing room, not as far as my information anyway.
-
If we go down I will blame RL . not for trying the Dutch/youth experiment but not changing the manager sooner
-
but we all know what your non-plussed is and it isn't the dictionary definition. I think we should do a poll on how many think your non plussed would be. would it be, outraged constant derision to give the new man time or laid back and see what happens
-
Duncan that is a really good post from my perspective because it is balanced and fair.Too often in the past they have been so biased that they have been easy to dispell.I hope your reasoning and a real bit of balance is used tomorrow and not the hotheads who could ruin a decent well meaning protest.
-
The window closes on the 2nd of Feb I think, but of course we still can get loans in for a long time after that.So a new man would be able to get players in
-
just a few minutes ago i conversed with a pal who is very close to things and I asked what was the mood like in the squad and he came back that it was a much better mood around and there were tactics being worked on.Or words to that effect

I dont know if you are old enough to remember when the Milton was our end, on its day it could generate a tremendous atmosphere and it had no roof. The thought of ALL the fans who sing and drive the team on in one area is mouthwatering and you would soon forget the Northam.I agree it generates the most noise in the ground but it is dissapated by the away fans and also where we have sections in different areas around the ground eg the Itchen.
-
It all depends on if you think we will forever be where we are now.I have the hope that these dark days will go and things will get better.Having a 22k stadium would have us with near on the same outlay but without the opportunity to grow and increase revenue . please do not give me the money is not impoortant as it is, not only for day to day running but the purchase of better players to help fill the ground. In the last 2 years a 22k stadium would not have been big enough on many occasions.

Dont be so hard on yourself Alpine

that can be the case. The credit is given to NP as though the was a magician. It was Webster who told NP he could get him when we had a keeper crisis.NP went along with it and the chairman sorted out the rest. That is good teamwork but it was not NP's talent spotting.

Again Robbie your faith is misguided.ONLY with LC is is a bit melodramatic as his fighting spirit took us to within 20 minutes of relegation under his chairmanship. He may be the best way of a really bad bunch at present but he definately not the only way.
-
Robbie Iam confused what is best for Saints at present. The home defeats against Forest and Donny really knocked our confidence. That has opened the wounds and then there was an ourtpouring of frustration.Rightly so. I still believe if we had won 2 more home games and say 5 points clear of the relegation position this all would not be so restless. The fans were patient and would still be so as in principle they do understand the clubs constraints.
-
Woud we be looking to buy players if about to go into administration?
OldNick replied to NickG's topic in The Saints
Being cynical I dont think that the dutch player was coming and it was a smokescreen.Or that the bank has indeed pulled the plug on a deal as we couldn't afford him. -
Robbie Coventry finished one place below us and as they lost last game of the season away at Charlton would have gone down had Leicester won,and so were closer to relegation than us.Dont believe me , read back and see others will confirm
-
Lets hope these messages give him a lift. Come on Ed you have us all behind you.
-
Greenridge, Im not saying Flashman was not theo thers .I believe at present he is not NC. I had too many petulent, hissy fit posts from Flashman to believe that NC is the same poster. The posts are far too edcated, I would expect they cme from closer to RL's circle, not as in a pr plant but just a a supportive collegue (not friend)
-
May i ask.If LC took over tomorrow and did those things and we went down, whose fault would you say it was? I suspect RL would get the blame whatever. May i also point out SISU did not help last season and they were closer to relegation than we were.LC also came out and criticised their position saying that htey had not done much good
-
In principle do you not think in hindsight if we had one end that was full of fans singing and causing an intimidating atmosphere that would be better. I do agree that the away fans should be put in a worse position where they could not make such an impact.Newcastle put them up in the gods (a massive stadium of course) and norwich i read only gave us a small strip on the side where the impact is less.
-
That is true.THe very anti Lowes believe they are fighting a just cause , whilst i always felt that I was protecting the club (Not RL) from unfair abuse. I have niw become more anti RL in so much he did not act quick enough regarding Jan and also put in Wotte and not an established CCC manager.Having said that Wotte's interviews have been ok and that has encouraged me a bit.
