Do you really expect a team to play flowing football at the flick of a switch? It will take more than 6 months to get the team playing great football.Do you not think the football for at least 3 seasons has been poor and even in the PL we were hardly Brazil. This is a young team and they thankfully have the majority of fans at the ground giving them the support they need. Hang in there, if RL left it would be no different unless you want a hoof ball team.I myself feel more attachment to the players than I have for a long time.

I cant go today due to a business commitment.I am more than happy to see the club trying this way. If it is RL's plan then on this Iam a Lowe luvvie, and loving it. Having young players who have some attatchment to the club gives me more enjoyment than seeing a load of overpaid players going through the motions. For all his faults he does have an honourable code and he could have sold his shares at a premium but wouodnt do so unless all were offered the same.Many will scoff but I would happy to do business with him because he would keep to what he agreed. David James has been in fantastic form for you since joining. In fact he would be the main reason you got to the cup final with his penalty save and some other other great performances. I can also confirm that the ticket office sent back to me a most useful and polite reply to a question i had.I have now been able to purchase my tickets. Although the seating plan to my mind bears no relation to the real position of the reception ticket office and megastore etc.

Weston, all along there has been a smokescreen and perhaps many were duped but LC has now confirmed that there was some kind of contact.Dont forget MC admitted she flew across to someone with direct contact to Allen to try and get the interest going again. I again believe (rightly or wrongly) that the board qwould be desperate for the fans not to really know that they had totally co###ed up something that was potentially the biggest thing in our history.I do know that RL and co were hopping mad as they saw it going pearshaped and they were at that stage not empowered to move things on. You were lucky not to be at least 1 goal at half time and yes you took advantage of the weakened Milan team and scored 2 only to let them draw when they put on a couple more players to change the game. Your fans were the only good performance on the night and if you still have to play at home again it will be interesting how many turn up. You luckily scraped through into the group stages and have been humbled by some average opposition.

I didnt listen to the show but it is interesting that now LF has admitted Allen was interested in the club. At the time I was told that Allen didnt carry on as he was sick to death of the dithering of the board and a certain person who had long standing family ties to the club would not agree, also a member of the Wilde bunch was also dragging his feet. By the time they came around reluctantly Allen lost interest. I said at the time on here, the board would always deny that Allen was there as the fans would never forgive the board losing the biggest opporunity in the clubs HISTORY. It seems we have had it from as close as it can get that as I was reliably told, Paul Allen was interested in us. many will rubbish it, and that is why the board has got away scot free with their incompetance at that time. We must remember that there were fans on the board and they were party to losing that fantastic opportunity. Sad, sad news that I had always believed and now it seems that LC has confirmed it.
