He definitely has the intensity. Just needs to work on his fitness.

Respect. Back in those days though, football was very different. It was easier to mount a league challenge and keep players at unfashionable clubs for longer. Wages weren't astronomical compared to club income and rich owners could do what they wanted with no restraints. In my era (started watching properly from around 1990) football was very much starting to turn into a business and we have been a selling club all my life really. Didn't mean to come across as condescending. Just making what I think are valid points and I feel fans need to manage their expectations better and also not fly off the rails every time we go on a really bad run. Hell we've been relegation fodder most of my life. It's nice to be where we are atm

****inghell this forum is insufferable when we lose a few games. Now I know why I usually steer clear when we lose.
-
No but you can cherry pick mistakes like this from every single club in world football. What makes Saints so special that every signing we make should be an instant hit? I'll be the first to admit that I had high hopes with Ramirez after seeing some of his football in Serie A and yes, he and Osvaldo were monumental flops, but it happens. Blue line, move on and all that.
-
Ha. Well we'll see I suppose. He covers a lot of ground when he's on the pitch and is full of beans until around the 70th minute where he fades. If he can step up his fitness to Pochettino levels then that's exactly what he'll be.

How long have you been a Saints fan for? Because other than Le Tiss this is something Southampton have always done. Lets also not forget that all of the players that have left have pushed for a move and forced the clubs hand. It's all well and good trotting out the bull**** line of 'we keep selling our best players' but what exactly are we supposed to do? Offer them 100k a week? Never going to happen. Just accept where we are in the football pyramid and come back down to Earth a bit. Yes it's frustrating but with FFP there's really F all we can do about it. We can't compete on wages with the big clubs so players will want to move on. Rather than cry about our best players being sold and us going on a bad run grab some perspective. If we can turn around our form the top half is still extremely doable. Those who thought we were going to get into the top 4 and build a 55,000 seater stadium (mlg) filling it every other week need a reality check. Hopefully this is it.

We really need to win this game. Watford are exceptionally difficult to score against so I hope Pelle is up for it!!

We're a well run club in the Premier League. All teams go through bad form and we're no different. Get behind the team, don't ****ing boo them and together we can get through the tough bits. I know i'd rather be here, than playing in league 1!! Also, we do play some really nice stuff still but confidence is low so we're not getting the rub of the green atm. It'll turn around. Of that I have no doubt.

Mate, if I was you i'd take a step back and actually watch him play. Yes there are question marks around his ability to play 90 minutes but if you watch him play you'd realise that he is one of our best players. When we first got Morgan he was very lightweight and I honestly didn't think he'd make it in this country. Now look at him. Next season, with a full pre season under his belt and hopefully a little bulking up we are going to see exactly what Clasie is capable of. A high energy box to box midfielder with an exceptional passing range. Stop writing him off ffs and stop calling him a crap signing. He isn't. He's quality. When will some of our fans learn to give players time to settle? It's infuriating.
-
I don't want him gone but I've got a bad feeling that the board will sack him if we lose our next two games.
-
Classie was our best player. Juanmi did well when he came on. Was good in the build up to our goal.
-
We honestly weren't that bad today.
-
Well we lost but were by far the better team. Reading this thread though you'd think that we were bottom of the league and getting dicked 5-0. Some of you need to get a grip tbh. Palace will be buzzing that they've managed to come away with the win here but they have. I am starting to wonder though if Koeman has lost the plot a bit. He knows what works and what doesn't. Seems to keen to stick at what doesn't though.
-
Will be seathing if we go out and Palace draw pompey!!
-
Annoying thing is, we've been the better side.
-
Bloody hell. Every time we get on top lately we concede. Whats happened to our defence? It's ****.
-
well we're well on top now and need another goal to show for it.
-
He's been their best player so far this season. Wycombe fans are raving about him!
-
Yeah I would say so.
-
Nowadays too many people in the world are looking for any excuse to be outraged.
-
Yeah it was stupid but emotions can run high during games. I'm sure Koeman has slaughtered him for it. Booing is ****ing childish and doesn't solve anything. I can't stand it.
-
So is Clyne tbf but I just told them he was my sons favorite player
-
For starters, any fan that goes to a Saints game and boo's any player playing in a Saints shirt can just ****off. They aren't Saints fans in my eyes. Secondly, Mane turned up late for a meeting. He didn't spit out his dummy trying to get a transfer and refuse to play, so he's not on the same level of ****ishness as Wanyama. Why the **** would anyone boo one of their own? It's counter productive.

I personally wouldn't bother with that one mate. You want one with a proper card insert which allows you to add a couple of pictures. Not only will your shirt value rise it also looks much much nicer. If you can get hold of a signed photo of Bertrand to accompany the shirt in the frame then it will set it apart from the rest. My Clyne match worn is getting the same treatment as is my yellow third kit from last season. Sounds cheeky but I emailed the club and they sent me a hand signed photo of Clyne through the post, they are really good when it comes to things like that.
