Chelsea is a massive upgrade. They can significantly outspend Spurs and they'd probably double his wages whilst they were at it. I don't think it will happen either but I don't think Poch will get a bigger offer for a while yet. (that's if Chelsea are even in for him) If they are, then i'd imagine it would be a move in the summer.

Hi guys. Not been a member long but I've been reading this thread for years so thought i'd finally post something. I tend not to pay attention to what they say down the road tbh. I was in the Navy for 13 years and was obviously based in Portsmouth for the majority and although a few members on a fan site can't really be used as a yard stick to judge a whole fan base, the majority of their fans genuinely do believe some of the **** that's posted on that forum. The amount of times I've heard about the 0p in the £ CVA is hilarious. The fact that a CVA was designed to pay creditors a reduced fee based on remaining funds and has to be agreed to by the creditors themselves seems to allude them somewhat. What creditor who is owed millions would agree to be paid nothing? In any case, a CVA simply didn't exist in our case. Anyway, the pleasing thing about the whole situation is that they can babble on about History, administration, CVA's, Dock strikes and under water stadiums all they like. The fact of the matter is, they are at the lowest ebb of their clubs entire history and are extremely bitter about it. That's why history and attendances (**** knows why they bring up attendances when conversing with Saints fans tbh) are brought up so much. I just tend to sit back and smile when I hear it nowadays as it's funny. Anyway, please continue.

It's a shame that one of the more highly rated young players in world football has flopped so hard that he's now in the championship. No club wanted him because of his wages. Hope he bucks his ideas up and just gets on with his football as he's such a talented player!!!

He's signed for Boro on loan until the end of the season. If ever there was any confirmation needed that he's not wanted, then this is it.

I think he gets too much stick tbh. Like I said, he's not great just that his style would offer us something different that we need. He's being kept out by Eric Lamela in all fairness, who is a fantastic player.

I just think he's exactly the type of winger that would suit us. I'm not saying he's a great player but I genuinely think he'd do well here. We need someone direct who will run at defenders on that side and someone who can also cut inside and shoot.

A friend of mine who has links to a few few Spurs ITK guys said that Levy is looking for 14mill for Townsend and not a penny less as he's an England international. Would you want him for that? Seems about right in this day and age and he'd be a great signing for us imo.

He's one of the biggest disappointments I've ever had whilst supporting Saints. Having seen a fair bit of him the season before we got him I was ****ing buzzing. Thought we had a lad who would go on to become a genuine world class player. Really don't know whats happened to him. He's got all the tools to be able to succeed but he's been a major flop :(
