  1. Your source is creditable and has been involved with the group. I will say no more than that. Like you I have been given a number of dates from other sources that have passed by. Forgive me for not holding my breath. I am sure your source has been told it is still on just as Long Shot was told by Fulthorpe. Tin hats if you post such details on here though
  2. Have thought more about this. We do not have an out and out experienced role model bowler in the squad. Cork has been there, done it and has the on and off field experience. He will help our bowlers in the nets with tips and encouragement and when playing will be able to offer that bit of advice to a bowler that might just make a difference. Remember Bond telling Tremlett to cut down his run. It has helped his bowling and "fitness" a bit. Also a bit of sun on their backs and I can see Carberry, Lumb and Benham coming good next season on a more consistant basis. For the latter I think it may be a make or break season but he has undoubted talent.
  3. posted by, Neil Morrice | Tue 16th, Sep 2008 11:02 MICK MARSHALLS HIS TROOPS THE BOSS is an increasingly regular sight at his desk in the main office as was the case on a busy work morning today. The healing process from his injuries is in its full throes, but while admitting to "hurting all over" he is clearly over the worst and well on his way back to normal. Mick watched the footage of today's action after discussing the work with Eddie Creighton, Cathy Gannon, Candy Morris, Michael Geran, Sam Hitchcott and Tadgh O'Shea. I know he was delighted to hear Sam's bulletin on Youmzain who is literally bursting to get back on the racecourse. http://www.mickchannon.tv/news.php
  4. I reckon Giles White is our new Manager. Just a huntch after listening to Cork interview on Sky
  5. What a waste. Spoke to many Lancashire supporters last year and they doubted his ability of late. May be able to pass some of his experience to our young up and coming though. May be that was the reason.
  6. Shame, I liked Michael as a person and an opening batsman. He was a bit peed off about being dropped from the one day side recently. Do't know who the new signing will be. Ramps has been mentioned. Don't want Vaughan. I rate him to get his form back and we will hardly see him play. If he does not get his form back what is the point in signing him. Bransgrove took the same view with Simon Jones before last season started. Now we know, it is Dominic Cork ffs!
  7. Nothing so far.
  8. Hants have offered Billy Taylor a 1 year deal to play in 1 day comps only.
  9. Of course, where are my points. 5 will take me above Forest
  10. Funny that because that is not how the family or friends pronounce it!
  11. I will take you R Long Shot you forgot work or other social commitment (I think you know what I mean(
  12. Charming

  14. I doubt that more than 250, may be 500 if I am generous, are staying away purely because of the Lowe/Wilde alliance. I would suggest the majority of last seasons "regulars" simply got fed up with the last few seasons crap and with mainly young, untried players at this level coming in could not see any chance of an improvement. Coupled with the economic crisis hitting most of our pockets and £26 to £28 a game plus other costs associated it is perhaps understandable that gates have hit such a low level. A few wins, good football entertainment and a climb up the table and gates will no doubt improve to near to last seasons levels. Those who did not attend last night missed a cracker of a game.
  15. Not going to happen like that TS.
  16. Lets not forget Marshall, there goalkeeper who made quite a few great saves. We had 12 shots on target and 10 off.
  17. Just back and I really enjoyed that. Just going to relax now. Well done the lads.
  18. May be the Nay's were right. The DJ has opened up 200 points.

  20. Always a shame when someone posts with good intention and without a track record for bull****ting yet is challenged almost for every word posted.
  21. We should be able to pick up USA for a song soon as they have just voted to go into financial meltdown Bit of arm twisting going on at the moment. The whips are out (just to keep it topical )
  22. Yep I have spoken to someone I know. Ladbooks were offering 125/1 on a Saints 2-0 win with Surman to be first Saints scorer. I pointed out first goal was an own goal. Ladbrooks say the first saints scorer was still treated as Surman. So there you are folks. Mystery cleared up. I would have thought the bet was a real Long Shot Well done to him taking money off the bookies.
  23. Could it have been a football bet? After all he said he was at a football game. Sort of score and scorer combined?
  24. Then you are a liar. I know your rantings over a long period on the old 606 and you would never have accepted such an inexperienced coach. Stop trying to justify your obsession with Lowe. I am not an out and out anti Loweite but you are driving me there.
  25. It was 3 people putting on a £10 bet each winning £1250 plus £10 stake = £3780 Not difficult really. Unless you think Long Shot is telling porkies!!!
