  1. I think part of the overall problem and perhaps impacting on Schneiderlin's influence on the game is that we lack movement when we have the ball in midfield severely limiting options. Schneiderlin is just as guilty. He plays too much in a comfort zone. There is no doubt he has class but he needs to up his game it he is going to be effective for us.
  2. Poor game but a win was more important and coming from 1-0 down for the first time this season will have a positive effect on the team. I am going to focus on the negatives first: Lambert is not worth his place in the team start at present. His work rate is lethargic and clearly out of form. However, he is not an impact player to bring off the bench so he will continue to start and I have no problem with that at present. Schneiderlin is poor. For those who still rate him I suggest you focus on him for the whole game. As soon as he gets the ball he makes the simple pass sideways or back (with the very occasional decent long pass). He fails to move forward after passing, is lazy and has little impact. He is part of the reason our midfield engine fails to spark. At least 80 appearances and only 1 goal is not good enough. He does not contribute. For all Chaplow’s failings he contributes more positives to the game. This is an area we must address in the next transfer window. Chaplow is not the answer long term but he is ok at this level. Back to our strikers – why are they not “hunting in pairs” More than once Lambert laid off a short ball but no one about to slot it in. They should not have to go to hunt the ball wide. On the positives: Puncheon worked hard, particularly in the first half and if he keeps this effort up he will find support. Fonte scoring from a great free kick delivery. Chamberlain’s impact on the game. One good goal and a fantastic run and shot that hit the post. Overall I think we deserved the win but our play was, most of the time, mid table division with just the odd spark of class.
  3. Could this be Gaydamac Snr revenge day. Chainrai sued him over a business deal, won about £15m which he then plows into PFC to take the toy away from Gaydamac Jnr and then puts in those who were also trying to stitch him up. If the club is liquidated, player contracts void, no other assets and so Chainrai loses his £15m paid to him by Gaydamac Snr after the court case. Hell hath no fury like a gun runner screwed. Fairy Story......perhaps.......Horror Story....you bet.......Reality.......some hope!
  4. Unless there is any late change of mind by Adkins the team starting 11 is the same as that started the last game against Tranmere. Difficult game but our team is full of confidence and although Huddersfield will draw on their 3-1 win last season they will know it was against a team not then firing. The 5-0 defeat at SMS will play on their mind. I think our progress will be shown by a 1-1 draw although we must start believing in this team and expect us to win every week. Decent display today with a positive outcome will increase all or belief that promotion moves from a possibly to a probably.
  5. It is Sulley Ali Muntari. Inter Milan owe £1m to Pompeyand it is now overdue. Pompey say the money is crutial to their cash flow and without it the money has run out this month and they may have to negotiate a delay is salary payments.
  6. I share every part of this opinion.
  7. As was said above we did it against Bournemouth. Why have two shortish players in the penalty area defending. Put them out wide on the centre circle and the opposition have to leave at least 2 back and it immediately stretches them if the ball comes out. A less cluttered penalty area also allows our defenders more room to attack the ball.
  8. Basically because it is a private matter and no need for comment unless he is charged. Any breach of contract will be dealt with internally and again private and no need for comment.
  9. I think he wil be here for a long term. Of course he has to earn the respect of the more senior players but he appears to be going about it the right way. He seems to be working on fitness. His comments on Saturday about respecting the ref suggests he sees discipline as a way forward. However you cannot just come in and change everything from day 1. His way is for his team to evolve and the Barnard situation will hopefully bring that home to squad. Cortese will want this to work. The Pardew issue has not helped his credibility. He will make sure Adkins gets what he wants (within budget restaints) So far so good. Best man for the job for me.
  10. Agree and a valid point to debate. No need for the club to wrap them up in cotton wool but the players themselves should be more responsible. Nightclubbing until early hours may seem a good idea to wind down from the highs of a football match and no one is going to cry foul over a few drinks but they are in the public eye, they must realise that others less fortunate and full of drink might cause trouble and they should be no where near it.
  11. Posters must be careful not to undertake an internet witch hunt. Let us not forget "innocent until proved guilty" applies in the UK. If you did not see the incident you cannot know the sequence of events or what really happened. If you did see it, you should be talking to the police, not reliving the evidence on here. Let the police conduct their enquiries and if there is a case to answer let the courts hear the evidence and pass judgement.

  13. His idea to insert relegation clauses into contracts is now accepted by other clubs as being the norm.
  14. For me the first thing I want from paying to watch Saints is an entertaining game. Better if both sides are entertaining but I will settle for just Saints. After that I want meaningful wins. Not battering some useless team into submission (as enjoyable as that might be) but to say we have come out on top against a decent team. Next I want an atmosphere so big crowds filling the ground is a necessary addition Price has to be a consideration for all of the above. It has to be affordable but not necessarily inexpensive. I would be happy to be the highest ticket price club in the league (but only just) if I was getting value for money and the real chance of moving up a league to compete at the next level. I want success but not at any cost. Let’s just say reassuringly expensive success. A sort of M&S rather than a Harrods or Tesco
  15. Excluding the first and last paragraph of your post, I agree this is a good assessment and probably correct but there is good information out there (without disclosing good sources) that Pardew wanted out but could not afford just to walk away, Reed was tasked to look for a replacement by Cortese as far back as the close season etc..etc..etc so I can understand the posters views you incorporated as quotes in your reply. The truth is out there but depending on what side of the rumour fence you are on it all gets a bit slanted
  16. Decent time with us previously. His 3 year contract with Preston runs out in January 2011. Could be loan now with an option to sign in January? Solent are near to the club so if they are saying that on twitter it just might be true
  17. So someone with coaching badges gives his views without being rude to any poster and you write this! Shame on you. Give an opinion on the points raised by all means but no need to have a go at the poster for holding valid views. Thought you were better than that.
  18. Let us get this into context. Mitchell contacted Saints to ask if children were allowed in the boardroom. He was told a decision had not been made yet but that he was unwelcome in the boardroom. It is understood that this relates to Mr Mitchell's comments in public that Howe had been offerred the Saints job and had turned it down. Solent say Mr Mitchells comment regarding the job offer were unfounded. Mr Mitchell says he was telling the truth from what he was told! There was a bar bill unpaid until last week for £300 relating to Champagne at the cup game earlier this season but I think that is a side issue. Mr Mitchell was not banned, just unwelcome. He has now purchased a box for the day. Storm in a teacup caused by a mouthy Mitchell. Enough said.
  19. Do they? How do you know? leftback is just one opinion. I would like to hear from him on other subjects from within without the prejudice slant otherwise it will come over as a poster with an agenda.
  20. The problem with left back's posts are that they are so anti Cortese with a passion that it is easy to just brush them aside. However, although this is the ranting & ravings (that's how it comes across to me) it is clear that this information is coming from within the club and I for one am taking it cautiously on board. I hope Mr Cortese reads the posts or at least they are drawn to his attention, not to carry out a witch hunt but to give him feedback and food for thought. I would be interested to know what left back thinks of Mr Adkins in the short time he has been with the club and how his relationship is developing with Cortese and the Reed camp.
  21. This is what he said a few minutes ago Good morning peoples , on my way to melwood for breakfast then flying to utrect wish me and the team a safe flight! 2 minutes ago via Twitter for BlackBerry®
  22. I did not see the game but went off to bed last night very disappointed with the result especially as we had taken the lead. However this morning having read Chap in the Chapel posts, a posters view I respect, and then reading Adkins after match comments I feel a little more confident that we will get it right soon. Adkins pulled no punches and identified our problems with ease. We need to pass the ball, we need to keep possession, we need to get width and we need to get quality balls in. These are fundamental issues and easily put right with the quality of players we have. A good insight into what he thinks of Guly as well. Using Adkins words “........he's got to realise as well it's not just what you do when you've got the football, you've got to work hard as well. He'll learn that coming into English football but he has quality.” “It's going to be very difficult for him - he doesn't know the language, he's come to a different country, a different environment and it would be hard for anybody to settle in and we need to allow him the time to do that. He's obviously a quality player with where he's come from and we've got to allow him that time.” We have the right Manager and a decent squad. It just needs a little more time and a couple of loan signings until the transfer window opens. If Adkins can get the team playing the way he wants I am going to enjoy the football and not worry too much about the end of season just yet. Bournemouth on Saturday will now be a very interesting game.
  23. Inheritance Law Under Swiss law, descendants, parents and spouses are statutory heirs. In absence of a will or inheritance contract, in principle the following applies: The surviving spouse gets: a) half of the estate if there are descendants of the deceased, or b) three quarters of the estate if there are no descendants but parental heirs, or c) if there are no parental heirs either, the full estate. Children always inherit in equal shares. Statutory heirs are protected by the mandatory rules on statutory legal portions (also called forced heirship). This means that a person may not dispose of his entire estate at their discretion. Rather, their descendants, surviving parents and spouses are entitled to a portion of the estate by statutory law. The statutory legal portions are based on the aforementioned statutory quotas which the statutory heirs will get if a person dies intestate. Descendants are entitled to three quarters of their statutory quota, and surviving parents and spouses each to one half of their respective statutory quota. It is important to note that under Swiss law, the heirs acquire all assets and all liabilities of the deceased at the moment of death. The heirs form a simple partnership (Communauté héréditaire/Erbengemeinschaft) until the estate has been divided according to the applicable rules. You may dispose of your estate either by will or by inheritance contract. While the will consists of a disposition by the testator only, an inheritance contract is an agreement made by and among the testator and the statutory heirs and/or third persons. Wills: The testator may either choose to: i) write a holograph will (which needs to be entirely handwritten, signed and must include date and place), or ii) obtain a will drawn up and certified by a notary. In case of emergency, an oral will can be made before two witnesses. Wills can be changed at any time. However, you should make sure to state that the new will replaces all prior dispositions made with regard to your estate. Inheritance Contract: By concluding an inheritance contract, the testator may oblige themselves to bequeath their estate or a legacy to the other party (or a third party). It is also possible to conclude an inheritance contract in order to waive an inheritance. Inheritance contracts need to be certified by a notary.
  24. Yes we did.
  25. I know nothing about the new Labour leader but I hear today the majority of the Labour MP's did not vote for him, the majority of the Labour Members did not vote for him. It was the Union vote that got him in. Reports from various past offices he has held say that if he can put off a decision he will! As one person put it "Ed drinks Rose Wine as he cannot make p his mind if he likes Red or White" The Unions will soon ask for pay back time. As a Leader of the opposition that is not dangerous. If he ever became PM this country will have real problems. Well they would if he breaks the habit of a lifetime, allegedly, and makes a decision.
