Now this is a thread I do like with plenty of good inside information. I agree with leftback (shock horror!!) His original title should not have been changed. How do TSW expect to draw people into the website if they are going to tame the headlines! This is not the first time they have done this. There was nothing wrong with the original title. Get a grip Mods.

Mike Richards shares a box with 6 others. Still a regular supporter of Saints and Hampshire Cricket.
-
That would be a "where did you dig that team up from" moment!
-
You are quite right of course. As my Grammar used to say, use your ed or you will end up in the ditch

I am going to go out on a limb here. I have just read some of his recent threads. What he is posting is news to many of us at a time when very little is getting out of SMS or Staplewood. His posts are slanted against Cortese and I think that is because it is coming from one particular source in the media via a club leak. I treat what he has to say with caution but not outright dismissal. There is no smoke without fire. Is he a Saints supporter? You bet he is. Is he bias? Yes I think he is based on what I have heard from him in the past. Does he know the game? Yes he does. Do I know him? No not personally but I have heard him speak publically before. He clearly dislikes Cortese just as he disliked Lowe but thought the world of Crouch. Enough on him though. I am not going to say who he is, just thought outright dismissal of his posts is probably unwarranted. I COULD BE WRONG THOUGH. I HAVE NO INSIDE INFORMATION

Dagenham & Redbridge away league results this season: Sheffield Wednesday L 2-0 Notts County L 1-0 Bournemouth L 3-0 Charlton D 2-2 Colchester D 2-2 MK Dons L 2-0 Rochdale L 3-2

So that is Davis Richardson - Fonte - Seaborne - Harding Puncheon - Schneiderlin - Hammond - Lallana Lambert - Barnard Happy to see Chamberlain as impact player from bench. Guly unlucky not to start but Barnards energy more important at the start. Worried about our central midfield but although Chaplow has energy and commitment his passing is a bit wayward. Assume he is also on the bench.

Want me name you then?
-
He is expecting to negotiate a new contract with Saints before the season ends.
-
The Chief Scout will be 60 years old in December not that it matters, we only employed him this season. leftback is not employed by the club so must listen to tittle tattle from one side or one person. I have heard his bias opinions before.
-
That is not what he says. He loves it here, wants to play every week and feels that is best with Saints at present.
-
For those PM's to me, no I am not going to give a name. My response was to leftback. I am not about to uncover him. We might lose his little gems!!!!!!

I have just worked out who you are.

Nick, I have said it before and I will say it again - Kelvin Davis is the best shot stopper in this league and better than many in the higher leagues BUT there is more to it than that as Adkins, a past professional keeper will know. Does Kelvin dominate the box - No Is he vebal enough - No Is he any good at judgement when to come and when no to - No Is he good at distribution from the back - No Does he read the game well - Debatable I do not expect a world class goalkeeper that would slot into any Premier side. If so that is where he will be. I want someone with a bit of all the above, who can develop and hold his own as we move upwards. That may be the reason Adkins is not glowing in his comments. Kelvin Davis saved us 2 points Saturday with his save, undoubtably. But many others make good saves - the Oldham keeper from Lamberts free kick for one. How many times have we found a goalkeeper in this division whose saves have stopped us winning or indeed drawing games. Now do you see why some of us are not over the top with Davis's contribution overall
-
Most are not doubting his shot stopping abilities but there is more to a goalkeeper than that, like commanding his area, coming for crosses regularly, making the right decisions when to come for the ball, when to throw and when to kick etc.
-
I think part of the overall problem and perhaps impacting on Schneiderlin's influence on the game is that we lack movement when we have the ball in midfield severely limiting options. Schneiderlin is just as guilty. He plays too much in a comfort zone. There is no doubt he has class but he needs to up his game it he is going to be effective for us.

Poor game but a win was more important and coming from 1-0 down for the first time this season will have a positive effect on the team. I am going to focus on the negatives first: Lambert is not worth his place in the team start at present. His work rate is lethargic and clearly out of form. However, he is not an impact player to bring off the bench so he will continue to start and I have no problem with that at present. Schneiderlin is poor. For those who still rate him I suggest you focus on him for the whole game. As soon as he gets the ball he makes the simple pass sideways or back (with the very occasional decent long pass). He fails to move forward after passing, is lazy and has little impact. He is part of the reason our midfield engine fails to spark. At least 80 appearances and only 1 goal is not good enough. He does not contribute. For all Chaplow’s failings he contributes more positives to the game. This is an area we must address in the next transfer window. Chaplow is not the answer long term but he is ok at this level. Back to our strikers – why are they not “hunting in pairs” More than once Lambert laid off a short ball but no one about to slot it in. They should not have to go to hunt the ball wide. On the positives: Puncheon worked hard, particularly in the first half and if he keeps this effort up he will find support. Fonte scoring from a great free kick delivery. Chamberlain’s impact on the game. One good goal and a fantastic run and shot that hit the post. Overall I think we deserved the win but our play was, most of the time, mid table division with just the odd spark of class.

Could this be Gaydamac Snr revenge day. Chainrai sued him over a business deal, won about £15m which he then plows into PFC to take the toy away from Gaydamac Jnr and then puts in those who were also trying to stitch him up. If the club is liquidated, player contracts void, no other assets and so Chainrai loses his £15m paid to him by Gaydamac Snr after the court case. Hell hath no fury like a gun runner screwed. Fairy Story......perhaps.......Horror Story....you bet.......Reality.......some hope!

Unless there is any late change of mind by Adkins the team starting 11 is the same as that started the last game against Tranmere. Difficult game but our team is full of confidence and although Huddersfield will draw on their 3-1 win last season they will know it was against a team not then firing. The 5-0 defeat at SMS will play on their mind. I think our progress will be shown by a 1-1 draw although we must start believing in this team and expect us to win every week. Decent display today with a positive outcome will increase all or belief that promotion moves from a possibly to a probably.

It is Sulley Ali Muntari. Inter Milan owe £1m to Pompeyand it is now overdue. Pompey say the money is crutial to their cash flow and without it the money has run out this month and they may have to negotiate a delay is salary payments.
-
I share every part of this opinion.

As was said above we did it against Bournemouth. Why have two shortish players in the penalty area defending. Put them out wide on the centre circle and the opposition have to leave at least 2 back and it immediately stretches them if the ball comes out. A less cluttered penalty area also allows our defenders more room to attack the ball.
-
Basically because it is a private matter and no need for comment unless he is charged. Any breach of contract will be dealt with internally and again private and no need for comment.
-
I think he wil be here for a long term. Of course he has to earn the respect of the more senior players but he appears to be going about it the right way. He seems to be working on fitness. His comments on Saturday about respecting the ref suggests he sees discipline as a way forward. However you cannot just come in and change everything from day 1. His way is for his team to evolve and the Barnard situation will hopefully bring that home to squad. Cortese will want this to work. The Pardew issue has not helped his credibility. He will make sure Adkins gets what he wants (within budget restaints) So far so good. Best man for the job for me.

Agree and a valid point to debate. No need for the club to wrap them up in cotton wool but the players themselves should be more responsible. Nightclubbing until early hours may seem a good idea to wind down from the highs of a football match and no one is going to cry foul over a few drinks but they are in the public eye, they must realise that others less fortunate and full of drink might cause trouble and they should be no where near it.
