And what happens if we appeal? Surely any suspension(s) would then have to wait until the appeal is heard, which will probably not be until January.

We should go all out for a win tonight - but we have to start the game in a positive determined mind-frame, not like we did against Tranmere (in the first half) when the players looked like they were suffering from a morning-after-office-party, and distinctly seemed like they wanted to be elsewhere, miskicking all over the place! Imho this is more important than against Leeds on Saturday because Leeds are so far ahead in the table that they are not going to dictate our season and play-off ambitions. And we will tonk them at St Marys anyway. But one game at a time. I expect a win tonight, after an uncertain start (if Saturday is to go by) so 2-1 COYR!

Did you mean ' to DO the books'?

A legend is: a collection of stories and memories (popularly regarded as historical, but can be myth). So whether sporting or not, details of individual ability, personality, misdemeanors, mistakes and heroics all become heresay, and personal viewpoints or bias are irrelevant. So for examnple, 19, your very own personal criticism of Le Tiss can only fuel his status as popular legend. I guarantee that no legend exists that (or who) isn't a pot of controversy and contradiction. The more extreme, the bigger the legend. (Take Ben for example.............)

Deano, you're joking of course. Ron has never claimed to be Michaelangelo. This is a caricature, and goodness me! Danny's head is too big! Whatever next! Gerald Scarfe, Steadman, Riddell, Steve Bell, Martin Rowson, Low, Bateman, Vicky, Gillray, you and your mates have been doing it all wrong all these years. You should not be exaggerating features. Deano says so. No Deano, Ron's drawing in a non-serious way and with some deft pen and ink-work successfully captures the living essence of the man. Pretty well.

No, Saints weren't average, they were diabolical in the first half, and came onto the pitch looking like they wished they were still in bed. It must've been some office party! More miskicks, and wayward booting than I've seen for years. Their kicking (when they connected) was to anywhich way. Antonio was by far the worse culprit. They just weren't looking before they booted. Much worse than against Brighton, and Saints were lucky not to concede. AP looked pretty furious at times, scribbling notes on his pad. It must have been some half time rant!.

Yep, it is a bit early to start. But that's the modern footballer for you.

The intelligent and honourable thing (yes, pigs can't fly either) for Portsmouth to do would be to borrow one last time to pay their footballing debts to clubs like Watford, and the HMRC, then go into administration this season. That way the crooks will lose out. Skates will be relegated, but escape 10 points deduction next season from the Football League. (That only leaves them with deductions for possible financial irregularities). They won't be able to afford players and will have to rely on their Acedemy, but perhaps one day they will eventually be able to restart their career in League 1 or the Conference with a clean sheet.

This MUST be implemented imho.

Yep. It is a disincentive for me to renew my ST next season as I now have to miss so many matches. I'm losing out seriously as my work schedule changed since buying the ST. Something that needs to be considered next season when costing ST's so that Sats only matches are offered imho.

This is a positive and welcome step. Well done, Nicola and Markus. I do hope though that the Charter can be reviewed periodically in consultation with supporters to take into account views and changing circumstances. One thing I would heartily recommend is that Season Ticket holders are given refunds or comps when match dates have to be altered to times that the ST holder cannot make. (They are always re-arranged to Tuesdays and I work Tuesday evenings, and sadly its a job which is impossible to bunk off, grrr!)

For me, the most encouraging aspect is that we are playing positive exciting football again, which is the trademark Saints football that the club has been famous for. I did not expect this would be possible in the rough and tumble of league 1. How far we go is dependent on Alan, Nicola and Marcus being able to attract the footballers that make this possible in each division, and I am confident they will. Onwards and upwards!

No. I think we should play our best team against the Canaries and do our best against Leeds. On paper Leeds should prevail, though we are capable of winning or drawing. Defeat at Leeds will not affect our long term aims, but winning the JPT will be a colossal psychological plus. (Not that I'm saying we shouldn't go all out to beat Leeds. But the Norwich match comes first and we take one step at a time.) It would be bizarre to play a weakened team against Norwich. That is not our style any more!
-
Goodness. This means that SCW's colour scheme will be ruined!
-
This is an absolutely brilliant idea. Everyone can then enjoy his talents, (However the club should remunerate Ron appropriately for this. Perhaps some of his existing caricatures, like Tim's one of Danny could be used, with Ron being paid a separate public display fee.)

It amazes me how people can get so worked up by this Papa or Antonio debate. They both have complementary skills, both are raw diamonds with much to learn, both surely are going to address their faults, both are going to improve what they do very well, and both will become excellent footballers, hopefully for us! So be thankful we can look forward to intriguing options. Be patient. Slagging either one or the other is pointless, warriors.
-
No, I think they should take the glazing out and harden 'em up!

Woe is betide us. We are the forgotten We are the outsiders. We are plagued None want to know us. Do we care?
-
Walsall will be overconfident and blow it.
-
He is too fast for the lino, that's for sure. So some of the offside decisions are taken from an oblique angle, and cannot therefore all be correct. But we surely don't want Papa to amble up. He's doing fine. Criticising him for falling to the offside trap is like criticising Lambo for the number of shots he makes that don't go in. Papa still gets into the goalmouth on crucial occasions which leads to goals. It's pitiful that our supporters should be jeering him. Haven't we learned?

Tim, I'm very glad that you mention that it can take to produce cartoon artworks and that Ron is a perfectionist. As an ex-illustrator I know about the pressures that can be involved in producing artworks, and so hope that we all, in our enthusiasms, don't forget that Ron has been (and possibly/probably still is) coming out of traumatic personal experiences that would test all of us. So my request to everyone is don't expect Ron to be churning studies out as a service to our beck and call. Ron is retired and one or two a week would be a good rate, should he wish to do this Then he might want a break away from commitments from time to time. When pleasurable hobbies become a business it can add to pressures, which we wouldn't want. Also I'm not sure if artwork fees have been mentioned, but original works by cartoonists can sell for good sums, so we should not be expecting to be buying these on the cheap (not that I am sure anyone would expect to). Copyright ownership must always remain with Ron the creator, even though individual drawings might be purchased, so that he can continue to benefit from print sales. So, great ideas, but I do urge patience.

If we draw agin Walsall we'll go sideways!

I would be great if he could do some of Le Tiss. They would sell like hot cakes.
