Dodgy bounce Gaffer I swear.

Has anyone else been watching the Emirates Cup this weekend? The performances of Jack Wilshere have certainly caught the eye. I'd seen glimpses of him last season and watching him now the amount of confidence and ability this kid shows at such a young age is impressive,certainly think he's showing far more ability then Theo did at that age. Reckon if he is given the chance at Arsenal this season he's got every chance of going to the World Cup next year.

The weight of expectation around our team from our fans this season is seriously gonna cause a lot of negativity on here. Too many people think that just because we're owned by a billionaire that we have some divine right to be spunking millions on players ala Abramovich just to secure success. We've got the whole of August to sign the right players,which still leaves more than enough time to get a squad with some kind of hope of making the playoffs. Wait until the end of the season before you all start slitting your wrists,just be ****ing happy that we 1. Have a football club and 2. are completely debt free.

What an incredible thing to say to someone,that must have felt amazing to hear. Very saddened to hear about his death,a true footballing legend. I remember when he first came to the Dell as Newcastle manager in the 00/01 season and he got an incredible ovation from the Saints fans as he made he way to the dugout which showed how well respected he was throughout the football community. That video doesn't do that save justice,it needs to be played at normal speed to appreciate just how great it was. Like most people I'd be gutted if he went to Pompey,but to be honest he gave his very best years to us,didn't look half as good at times at Fulham,and now he wants to come out of injury forced retirement to be number 2 at Pompey? Money talks I suppose.

Not so much a player signing but if the **** hits the fan down the road it'd be nice to get David Coles back from Pompey. Think our reserve keepers could do with some help.

Not only did he miss pre-season training but he sat out the tail end of last season through injury,he hasn't played for quite a while.Give it a few more weeks and i'm confident he'd be well up to the pace.

Not a fan of the new kit but will be buying that new black and red training top. Might have been more popular if that had been the away shirt.

Might have had something do with him openly admitting he didnt want to uproot his family more than just loyalty to the club,even still though i'm happy to have him here still as he performed well last season.

Have been trying to avoid all the takeover gossip and not get too excited until it was all over and the deal was complete,and now that it has thank **** for that!! Such a relief to know we will still be in exsistence next season and can genuinely start believing we will be in the Prem again one day!

Hard to look past the last game at the Dell obviously,but earlier that season we beat Chelsea 3-2 with Beatts scoring a free kick in the last minute after we'd thrown away a 2-0 lead. Two of my teachers at school at the time,Mr Morse and Mr Anstee,were the most arrogant Chelsea supporting ******s of all time and I could hear their laughter ringing around my head when we threw that lead away,so watching the net ripple from the winner felt extra special.

Does anyone own or have played this yet? Was toying with getting it but its a pretty expensive time for games with Ghostbusters and the new Batman due.
