That's what I thought, but he doesn't qualify for team of the decade having left us in 97.

Who's Taylor?
-
I think Lowe only bought him here for one reason,to wind up Mandaric. If harry had been giving proper backing by Lowe he could have done a good job for us. A couple of million in the January transfer window the year we went down could have bought us a couple of decent defenders, instead we had to make do with Bernard and ****ing Davenport. Lowe's pompousness didn't go well with Arrys ****ney wideboy attitude and it was doomed from the start. Bringing in Clive Woodward was the final straw for Redknapp. Edit: I think Arry saw coming here as a bit of a 2 finger salute to Mandaric for getting rid of Jim Smith and bringing in Velimer Zajec behind his back.

Svensson was injured prior to the game the previous season when they beat us 1-0. I honestly believe if he hadn't been injured in the warm up we wouldn't have lost that game, the Skates wouldn't have had a resurgence in form, and thus would have been relegated. Anyway with regards to Claus, there's clearly something not right with the bloke.

Errr when did he play for us?
-
Might chuck a tenner on the skates then,win/win either way. Sorry to be a pedant but we were 7/1 back in 76 btw.

Were there 6 worse teams than the skates in the prem this year...?

As deluded as Avram and the blue few are I don't actually think they've been that bad this season. Do people believe Huddersfield and Swindon are better teams than us? -
Worst - Swindon Best - Yeovil. Gorgeous day stood on the terraces, lovely drive down there, and a last minute goal that ended a 10 year hoodoo of me not seeing us win an away league game since Dec 99.

As is my ass Mike, Ooo-err!

yeah Wycombe ground share with the Wasps, was watching it yesterday too thinking how **** the pitch looked. Hate the fact St Marys is being used for the 2015 RWC,espically with it being during the football season.

My plus 1 is I'll,so it's just me

Agreed,I find it shocking that we're treating the game so meaninglessly, they're professional footballers, should be going out there to win even if there's nothing to play for.
-
Shocking.

I like that,I like that a lot. I'd probably prefer stripes too but it's only for 1 season, would be a nice change.

The Official Summer Transfers and HCDAJFU Thread
bpsaint replied to supersonic's topic in The Saints
I'd be happy if we signed Carsley on some sort of rolling contract TBH. He's twice as good as Wotton and as others have said is the sort of player who will roll his sleeves up and get stuck in at **** grounds like Tranmere and Exeter. Those doubting his age should remember what an inspiration the then 39 year old Dean Windass was to Hull two seasons ago. If Pardew is looking out for an experienced holding midfielder then Matty Oakley wouldn't be a bad shout. Was immense for Derby the year they went up and appears to be doing very well in the same role at Leicester. Couldn't see him sticking it out should they succeed in the play offs and go up. -
Why bother telling people you've seen it then knowing full well everyone would be asking you to show it/describe it. Just like being ITK I guess.
-
Wouldn't mind Lee Carsley on a rolling contract TBH. Twice as good as Wotton and as others have said would be the sort of guy who'd roll his sleeves up at places like Exeter and Tranmere and get stuck in. If not Carsley then an ex-Prem midfield general would be a good signing. As for his age I guess everyones forgotten 39 year old Dean Windass helped lead Hull to the Prem 2 years ago.

Quality strike by Rickie, imaging getting one of them to the face!

Count me in +1, possibly +2.

AVATAR Watched this on bluray last night having previously seen it at the cinema in 3D and all I can say is wow. Quite possibly the finest i've seen a movie look in this format and honestly preferred it to how it was shown at cinemas. Im still yet to be completely won over by 3D films as I find the screen just becomes a bit of a blur after a while. As for the film itself its certainly worth a watch, even though it is a very cliched story. Think one reviewers opinion that it was 'Dance with Wolves or Pocahontos' with aliens pretty much sums it up. As CGI films go though it is groundbreaking, and Pandora does look very real at times.

We've got a building crew in at work at the moment, and one of the guys is your typical nasty mockney knuckle dragging skate. After just a day he'd spraypainted PFC in big blue letters on a bit of wood in the yard, and thinks it's ok to go around calling all my workmates scummers etc... So with this in mind I hope their dirty cheating club dies a horrible horrible death, and I hope it happens after they've sold a bunch of season tickets too,so their fans suffer that little bit more and that **** with the bell keels over from a broken heart.

Which Radio Station has the best coverage of Saints games?
bpsaint replied to Sidney Fudpucker the 3rd's topic in The Saints
BBC Radio Solent is the only one left since Radio Hampshire went bust, but you'll struggle to get match coverage in Cheshire due to contractual issues. -
Congratulations on the needless insult, you tard.

Pretty sure Dave's right hand man left us to join the ground staff at Wembley not long before it opened. Don't think it really matters who they get in,that pitch needs to be dug up properly and seeded instead of just laying turf on top of the gravel underneath. They should have considered putting a transparent/sliding roof on the stadium to allow more light in,just like the Amsterdam Arena rather than the pointless half sliding one they have.

Congratulations on one of the most OTT posts i've ever seen on here. Does it make you feel good to write things like this from the safety of your computer?
