  1. Derby and Wednesday? What have they done?
  2. I remember saying at the time Sheff United would have grounds to sue if they missed out on Europe, never thought it would actually have ramifications at the other end of the table!! Has to be advantage Villa now - with a safe West Ham to play on the final day and only needing to better a shambles of a Watford sides result against Arsenal.... Villa staying up could be good next year, reckon they’ll be battling again, as will Sheffield United and the potential 2nd place/play off winners in the Championship
  3. If the Watford owners were hoping for a bounce by sacking Pearson they’ve made a big mistake!! Goal difference wipes out with 20 minutes and a match with Arsenal still to go. Villa could sneak this on the last day...
  4. Didn’t realise when I posted this that Everton had a game in hand. With about £2 million at stake for finishing 11th instead Of 12th I hope we go all out for one last hurrah this season, and maybe Bournemouth can hold Everton to a spirited draw that doesn’t do either of them any favours.

    20/21 Kit

Had a bit of a eureka moment earlier on which I’ve not seen elsewhere - was discussing our 135 anniversary sash kit with a guy at work and we said about how ridiculous a land mark it was and are we going to bother for 140 years when we didn’t for 130, then I remembered the green sash kit.... Was this intended to be an anniversary shirt that they never mentioned, or is it just a happy coincidence? Can we expect a sash every 5 years now?
  6. When the fixtures were announced I was looking forward to this game and giving Billy Sharp the send off he deserved, shame we’ve been robbed of that opportunity. We know what a well organised side United are, and with their mixed form since lockdown it could go either way. A win would be great for momentum but I’d settle for a draw and cement 11th place for the little extra bit of prize money.
  7. If only we had a somewhat average home record, we’d be pushing for Europe I’m sure
  8. Thought the same - our poor finishing win him the MOTM award, not any real wonder saves. Our poor finishing does bother me, we should have been completely out of sight by the time they “equalised”. Dont know what Ings was doing with his stuttered pen, especially as he was watching the keeper the whole time and still passed it straight to him. Great finish for the goal though, and likewise with Che - I actually preferred this goal to the one against City, he showed good skill to get a yard on their defender and place it out of the keepers reach.
  9. Fuck off, just fuck off
  10. Should be out of sight by now ffs
  11. Even though he missed one days ago?
  12. Fuck off. Why are some strikers shit at pens. Watch them equalise now.
  13. Sound the Big Sam klaxon!!
  14. I’ve spent too long trying to work out what the fuck he’s talking about with this!
  15. Bang! He’s so class!!
  16. I hate Vest - really hope we get rid.
  17. FFS Brentford - absolute bottle jobs
  18. Weirdo. Relegate them, it was fun at first, but their fans decided to be massive pricks, calling us scammers, and trying to drum up some hatred, so let’s get revenge for “Oh when The Saints, Go Marching Down” earlier this season and that tweet from their fan who claimed we weren’t even a threat to their status anymore.
  19. Hopefully that was the last we’ve seen of Hojbjerg in a Saints kit. Adams was his usual Adams self, and Vestergaard is simply not Premier League standard. Understood Ralph wanted to rest some players, however I will criticise him for the way the team set up. Slow, ponderous, pass it backwards rubbish. We set up like the away team against City last week and were brilliant on the counter, however when we try and control the game we just look so bloody ordinary. Its not the curse of St Mary’s, it’s negative tactics with a bang average squad that is killing us at home. Thank god for Danny Ings, we’d already be down but for him.
  20. You’d happily see us lose to them? Fuck that - how could you gladly have us lose a game. Could you imagine them sounding off about taking 6 points off us this season and staying up by beating us? i was genuinely happy for them when they first came up, then it got a bit silly and all the Bournemouth fans I’m aquatinted with started calling me scummer, and trying to give it the ‘Top Bantz’, and they quickly became an annoying pimple on our arse. Them winning at St Mary’s, celebrating like they won the league, and singing “Oh When The Saints, Go Marching Down” hasn’t been forgotten, and it would be fantastic to dish out a little bit of karma for that.
  21. They’re certainly buoyed by the Leicester result - but given our away form, and Ings in form I’d be extremely disappointed to not get at least a draw against a battling Bournemouth. The dream would be if Villa could some how get a win tomorrow, Watford beat West Ham, we beat Bournemouth, and Villa beat West Ham on the last day. Highly unlikely but would be hilarious.
  22. Yep. That would be sweet
  23. Because Edison thinks he is Manuel Neuer and was caught off his line in a way pretty much no other keeper would, he got lucky that he basically had an open goal to shoot at.
  24. Appreciate your opinion which you’re entitled to, but I am curious to know why you think he is better given Obafemi has a better goals per minute return, and tally for the season so far. With a bit of luck he might have half a dozen goals, but surely you can’t choose a player on what they might achieve “with a bit of luck” over one that has actually achieved things for the team. But for the fluke against City we’d still be talking about a player with zero premier league goals, but more senior football experience that Obafemi.
  25. Ole being complimentary on Sky and making no excuses - fair play. loving this Saints side since the break, we look so fit, like the Strachan and Poch teams of past. Literally 2 or 3 shrewd signings from finally having a decent season I’d say. Only negatives, KWP had a bit of a bad opening third but regained composure later on, and thought Adams had a really poor game, so many times he lacked the vision to play Danny in. Fluked goal against City aside I really don’t see a Premier League player in him still. Let’s go for the full 9 points now lads!!
